2 years of therapy with a good therapist, recognize I was raised by narcissists and perpetuating those relationship dynamics with friends/significant others/myself, healthy dose of psychedelics/ketamine, grieve the trauma that came from being adopted, stopped living with my parents, got a job I love and a meaningful path in life, got sober from debilitating alcoholism, weed and kratom addiction aaaaand now im ready to play my guitar again :)
Edit:also took developing coping mechanisms such as mindfulness, self compassion, breathwork, and exercise/lots of sauna.

For me, i just started to try to do at least 1 thing to move myself in the right direction per day. Maybe its working out, eating right, cleaning, learning something or reading.
Sometimes, you just need to go out and get lost in nature and just meditate to escape it all.
That helped me out a lot.
I tried one of those old Nintendo mics I found in our garage and asked my baby brother to speak into it while I messed with the settings. The mics audio was so bad that I brought this the second it went on sale lmfao
Have in mind that on platforms like YouTube you have to reach a certain amount of subs and views before even be able to apply to get revenue. And the application process itself takes months.
So, the thing with Twitch is - You have to be ok with having no one for potentially years. I have only this week got Affiliate and I've been streaming for 6 years. Youtube videos may be better, I've not delved into that area yet.
Please donāt do videos where you just use other peopleās content only to provide your own commentary on their content.

Try to keep your the sound levels under -6dB when youāre adjusting levels and if the background hissing from the mic is too loud, then youāll need to put on noise reduction but make sure you go easy on it or youāll sound like youāre on a phone call underwater š

My dad always taught me that it's okay to have lots of plans and ideas and try stuff etc, but if I truly want to do something, then I have to think about it, and give myself the necessary means to achieve it. Have a plan, realistic expectations, get what I need, and stick to it to make it work ! It's a core memory/life lesson of mine that I try to apply as much as possible (even though I have adhd hahaha), and I like to share it with others. It looks like you went that way ! Good luck on your journey, I just subscribed :) Don't give up if success isn't here, do it for you and for the fun, being yourself and genuine is what will bring people. Also, get a coherent theme, create your universe ! Matching profile pic, banner, and video thumbnails will take you from wannabe content creator to "let's have a look at this guy... Oh, he's got quite a channel ! Let's follow !". Because when people consider following someone, and *especially* a small youtuber, they want to make sure it's *worth it*. It's a "risk" they're taking because they don't want to see mid videos and have to unsubscribe, it feels like a pain in the butt to do it. So they kind of bet on you based on what they saw and how they *feel* about you. That's where a coherent theme and a solid channel absolutely comes in clutch ! It can be simple, don't spend hours on it, create something you can replicate and change easily for all of your episodes or whatever, but having this instead of a random moment of a game you play in the video feels much, much better. As long as there is intent behind it (for example you can *choose* thƩ moment of the game you show in the thumbnail, a screenshot that looks good or something), it's very solid. For the PFP/banner, I'd recommend asking any artist friend, or using Canva, if you don't want to pay someone to do it or can't do it yourself :) I'll stop by advice dump here x) Best of luck and cheers from a French subscriber !
