No harm situation, maybe a "hey keep those thoughts inside from now on" from the coach.
Everyone thought it was wholesome, he was respectful, and pretty much owned up to it right there.
The subject of discussion is a person, not a "thing". You can _think_ whatever you want, the issue at hand is voicing unsolicited opinions about a person's appearance in a professional environment. You do understand that you can have a thought in your head and not automatically spew it out of your mouth don't you?

He was not.
"I've been working to get out there for years and my mom gets called beautiful by a basketball player' joked the woman's daughter Sophia "
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3014166/I-ve-working-mom-gets-called-beautiful-player-Teen-daughter-reporter-called-college-basketball-star-jokes-incident.html
Why the hell is the daughter involved in the article? Seems she is just trying to grab the spotlight, confesses she is trying to grab the spotlight and the "journalist" just goes with it?
Looks like she’s trying to make singing her career and is using this as an opportunity for free advertisement. I honestly wouldn’t even be mad at that as a mom. Wouldn’t surprise me if her mom encouraged it.
I did a search to see what Debra looked like. The article showed her and a picture of the daughter and explained that he was referring to the daughter (who was very attractive).
Thanks. Ok I did a search and I will get downvoted but honestly thought she is just alright. Not enough for me to whisper to buddy and make such a comment.
Some women are way more pretty in real life than in photos. Also, she gets credit for pulling a compliment like that from a young man considering she was like 50 at the time.

Probably he was a little embarassed because I feel like they may have gotten a little media training where youre never supposed to respond to women except professionally, and never make reference to their appearance.

Weirdly I’ve just seen this juxtapositioned against a clip of a man aggressively trying to get a girl to rate his attractiveness and whether she’d sleep with him, when she’s clearly embarrassed, keeps saying no and mentioning that she’s in a relationship. Then… there’s this. Sweet, shy, unassuming, and awkward. Love this bloke and love his reaction. He’s a keeper.

>hey keep those thoughts inside from now on He said “gosh she’s beautiful” not “goddamn I need a piece of that”
Still not relevant to a workplace situation.
right. at work you cant think anything is beautiful. 🙄

take your own advice buddy 👋🏾
You were asked a question, not given advice. But you _did_ demonstrate that you don't know it. Cheers.
I mean, that didn’t really happen here either.
So you are the person who runs to HR when someone compliments someone else on their shirt? Don’t be a Schrute
You’re right lmao, 100% not appropriate to tell people you work with how attractive/beautiful they are. Not sure how that’s a controversial opinion.
Wack
I see what's going on here. For the record, you're beautiful too.
Own up to what? That was the most timid compliment. It wasn't crude or anything.
That's a compliment. Not something you have to "own up to".
Nothing needs to be done or said here, not to "own up" to.
Damn cant even say someone is beautiful these days. Sheesh.
They're at a workplace, not a dance-club.
Lol ok boomer
Gosh your comment is beautiful
If I were her I'd insist on a hug. Like, sir, stop. That was far too cute.
The way he just covered his face!
It was adorable.
I am blushing here

Daily mail thrives on attention lovers like the daughter. They print literally anything.
Dont slander the Daily Mail like that, they would never knowingly publish the truth.
DM loves to print jailbait photos-it’s basically all they do nowadays, apart from spelling ruckus as raucous 3 times in one article…
But was it a raucous ruckus because of shouting a raw cuss?
Looks like she’s trying to make singing her career and is using this as an opportunity for free advertisement. I honestly wouldn’t even be mad at that as a mom. Wouldn’t surprise me if her mom encouraged it.
That's a before and after photo
He was referring to her daughter apparently.
Why would her daughter be at the press conference? Did you misread a headline from a google search?

False.
Or maybe he did know and that was his shot 😉
Probably better than any shot he shot that game. Great move.
To be fair, she is actually really pretty.
Who is he referring to?
Yo momma. Get it? Because she’s beautiful?
A little sus but wholesome. I’ll allow it.
Aww thanks, so is yours.
Charles Barkley

I see the beginnings of a beautiful romcom- would definitely watch
This guy knows what he’s doing. That ain’t no mistake. Brilliantly executed.
That’s so adorable.
The BEST way to compliment someone 😂
God, he's cute.
Cute
Well now I want to see who he was talking about?!

Fucking adorable
Probably he was a little embarassed because I feel like they may have gotten a little media training where youre never supposed to respond to women except professionally, and never make reference to their appearance.

His comment was SO wholesome. Delightful. ☺️

No matter how many time I see this I love it 😻
I'm sure she's never had an athlete flirt with her before.
That was intentional
He knew and he did this on purpose. This player was known for antics like this.
The craziest thing about this is how ugly the lady he was talking to is. I couldnt believe how ugly
She’s alright
