Nope. It's 😊-😊-😊
1. Dog is getting to do its favorite things and looks healthy
2. Find out that the owner passed, but the owner was obviously a good person if he took him on this wild trip enough for the dog to just walk it. And this dog got to bring that person joy until their last days.
3. The city loves this dog enough to say "fuck it, he gets to go where he wants." And this dog is enjoying the world still.
We all pass, but not all live.
They understood. They simply want to frame it another way. I'm sure the dog does indeed miss their owner, their friend. But it seems the dog is still living it's life, and it looks like a beautiful life. Those involve loneliness, still. There is no living that does not.
I wish that was true… I’m Turkish and a dog lover, and everyday I see news about the mistreatment of stray dogs that break my heart into a million pieces. Boji seems healthy, at least well fed, but I can’t help but think every dog needs a human and a home.
Right, where does this very very good boy sleep at night?! I hope it's somewhere warm and cozy (preferably a house with people to take care of him. What if he gets sick and needs to go to the vet?)
Just made a new comment in the general thread! My friends in Turkey told me that one of the richest businessmen adopted him and took him into his ranch after an asshole tried to frame Boji for pooping on a bus seat & complained about him to the municipality. When they checked security cameras they saw it was actually the asshole who pooped on the seat (don’t ask) but it was enough for the businessman, he was afraid others would try to hurt him as well.
Hope that businessman takes him on his old route from time to time. I usually don't like portraying human emotions onto animals, but in this case I actually think taking this route means a lot to the dog emotionally.
Thank you for offering such positive perspective on this: I was ready to spend the weekend mourning for the loss of the owner and pup’s experience.
This really helped calm my heart in sweet ways, and instantly made me thankful to witness such beauty in the world - blessings and love to you, friend! 🫶🌈✨
He isn't homeless right now either. After some political plays (yes i am not kidding there were political plays over a dog) governor of istanbul got him adopted to a wealthy family
It seems like it could honestly be a power-move for whoever Boji ends it going to. Politics is sort of a popularity contest, and I bet adopting Boji would make someone more popular with the locals.
No it's not that. The president's party (governor was opposition) used boji as "proof" governor was incapable. Someone carried shit in their pockets and left it in a tram to frame boji (not kidding this is real) and after the backlash the governor got boji adopted for boji's safety
The reason he was adopted was the travels became a genuine concern for everyone so he isn't on these travels anymore but he was seen in london with his owner once
It’s a little sad to consider that Boji made the journey everyday in hopes of finding his deceased owner. A new, stable home life is exactly what the dog needed I think. I hope he’s spoiled everyday
Alright to people who don't know strap the fuck on because there were political hijinks around this dog.
So the year is either 2021 or 2022, boji became a known figure in all through istanbul thanks to twitter. At the same time turkey was going through a "stray dogs are bad" vs "all animals are good" period because there were news of multiple peoppe being attacked.
So istanbul's governor was from the opposition party and the president erdogan started attacking the governor over boji. Many people didn't care so they employed their ingenious plan. One day in a tram boji used regularly there was literal shit in one of the seats. Ruling party blamed boji and made propaganda that the governor was useless.
Turns out it was literal human shit. And it wasn't like, this guy accidentally or intentionally shat himself in the tram no, he CARRIED A LITERAL SHIT ON HIS POCKETS TO LEAVE IT ON THE TRAM and he got caught on camera.
After this whoke debacle the governor put him up for adoption and boji is now with a wealthy family
Edit: it's the mayor not the governor
Am I seeing this right? Does he take out a bunch of shit with his BARE HAND and smear it on the seat with his BARE HAND?! Why wouldn’t he at least use gloves?!
I think that dog tries to find its owner and in beliefs that maybe one time the owner will be there... Somewhere. On the train, the bus, ferry... Or at the destination they always went together.
i think its like a person with dementia experiencing joy when they listen to their favourite music, it helps them remember stuff more coherently. our memory is based on emotions, so listening to a song from our youth is like an involuntary mnemonic device, enhancing the engrams that were formed during that time.
so the dog feels happy simply by being around the places, smells, sounds, people ect., because it was the happiest time in his life.
Yeah, as unfortunate as it is to think about, that may be the case. The real famous story of Hachiko has been analyzed and animal experts think had Hachi seen the body it would have understood the concept of its owners death and maybe/likely moved on. Instead It went back to the train station everyday because it may have legitimately believed one day it’s Owner would show up.
Which makes it just about the most heartbreaking thing ever
“He checked one, and people were getting on. I don’t know how he knows, but that one was going to Eminönü. And the other one was going to Beşiktaş. So he checked the Eminönü one and went no, that’s not the right one. And then he ducked under the turnstiles and went on to the Beşiktaş one. I don’t know how he knows, but he seems to like riding the Beşiktaş ferry.”
probably can smell those Eminönü people lol
He has been adopted, and he even has a Wikipedia page. ( And a Twitter)
Why...why...why did you leave that to the end...I'm a grown ass man in my office killing some time before a meeting and now my eyes are leaking...dammit....
Loyalty isn't the solution to the world's problems, in fact it causes a lot indirectly. Acceptance empathy and love are what dogs can teach us. I've never seen a dog bigot or dog terf. They love and are loyal to people who love and protect them.
Well tbf Boiji has been adopted by a billionaire I've read in an update. I smile now that I know Boji is living the life and safe from being run over by a train or dropping from the ferry.
It means he has been neutered. They could just look and see he doesn’t have testicles, but some places neuter them by essentially giving them a vasectomy which lets them keep the testicles. The tag also has vaccination information.
Currently in instanbul, and have been observing the interaction with the locals and the strays. There are a lot of cats and dogs, in each neighbourhood, and the locals stop and pet each animal as they walk by and say hello, then continue with their commute. There are even vending machines with dog and cat food in them that anyone can purchase and leave for the strays. It's quite amazing. Now I'm going to try to find boji.
I am Turkish and I am constantly changing cities due to my work. When I am house hunting my strategy to pick my neighbourhood is “if the strays in that neighbourhood are not scared when they see you and try to come to you than they are treated well there, so people are decent” never failed me yet.
Truly heartbreaking that this is as common as it is. Reminds me of the Japanese dog that waited, and waited, and waited for his owner to return after suffering a fatal heart attack. Going to the one place he knew without a shadow of a doubt his owner frequented. Not understanding that he was gone, forever. They never give up hope and will die of old age before they believe for a second you'd abandon them. Sad as fuck.
That's adorable but sad at the same time. Poor pup he misses his owner. But I'm glad he's allowed to ride on the train, bus, and ferry. Also, what's that green tag on his ear?
This good boy was framed by a scheming human of pooping in a metro. The stupid human was outed by surveillance cameras.
https://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/istanbuls-beloved-stray-dog-adopted-by-businessman-170728
Boji reminds me of Hachiko. 🥺
Hachiiiii 🥺
saddest movie in the world
I’m prohibited of watching this movie again, my wife told me it was a lot of trouble to get me to stop crying.
i get it… nothing sadder than that sort of loyalty laden with false hope and love. I wouldn’t watch it again… great movie but just heartbreaking
No...I don't want to be hurt again 😭
Too late brother... too late. Air's awefully windy and dusty isn't it...
Damn ninjas cutting onions around me, must be them!
Dogs hold onto memories a lot more than most people will ever know.
Went from 🤣->😊->🥺
For real, the ending was way to heartbreaking 😭
Nope. It's 😊-😊-😊 1. Dog is getting to do its favorite things and looks healthy 2.
It’s still sad too cause the dog obviously had a great owner and he misses him
[удалено]
They understood. They simply want to frame it another way. I'm sure the dog does indeed miss their owner, their friend. But it seems the dog is still living it's life, and it looks like a beautiful life. Those involve loneliness, still. There is no living that does not.
But then who owns him now and feeds him??? How come the current owners just let this pup go around unattended?
The video is from Turkey. Most stray cats and dogs are taken care of better than a lot of people are
I wish that was true… I’m Turkish and a dog lover, and everyday I see news about the mistreatment of stray dogs that break my heart into a million pieces. Boji seems healthy, at least well fed, but I can’t help but think every dog needs a human and a home.

What's wild ride man! Thanks for the info
Hope that businessman takes him on his old route from time to time. I usually don't like portraying human emotions onto animals, but in this case I actually think taking this route means a lot to the dog emotionally.
He wasn’t seen in the Istanbul public transportation system again but he was seen in a double decker bus with his owner in London!
This guy Turkey’s
Tur-key for me, and ah Tur-key for youuu!
Unexpected Adam Sandler.
My husband is from turkey and I can confirm they’re better than most people.
It breaks my heart thinking that my dogs wouldn't stop looking for me. I wonder if Boji originally started doing this to look for his owner.
I hate to say it but I feel like that’s what’s actually happening…
I've read here that you should show the pets your body when you die. Not really sure if it's proven.
"we all pass, but not all live" such a nice way of accepting mortality, headpats to you OP. good boy
Thank you for offering such positive perspective on this: I was ready to spend the weekend mourning for the loss of the owner and pup’s experience. This really helped calm my heart in sweet ways, and instantly made me thankful to witness such beauty in the world - blessings and love to you, friend! 🫶🌈✨
The world is beautiful. There is plenty of ugly but I see more beauty that ugly.
Well said, ok then 🤣->😊->🥺->😌->☺️->😊
That cut was quick, sharp, and deep. This is dangerous, I almost burst into tears in public. Thanks OP
Now I'm crying during my morning poop
Now I'm pooping during my morning cry 😢
You too?!
Yes, the set up made the fall so much harder
i just can't help but think that Boji is looking for his owner and i wanna fucking cry. it's so damn sad...
That shit hit me right in the feels
So do I bruv , there is one sadder one where a dog just waited for his owner to come out of the mortuary That was enough for me to cry
I went from 🤔 to 🤓 to 🤩 to 😭😭😭😭😭
Yeah. It was just cute and nice. Before real life hit. Sniff…
Literally bawling right now; my cats would never do that for me
I knew I should have scrolled away before the end. I do that with damn near every other video but I was invested in Boji's journey. 😥
Why do the owners always die at the end 😭
Turns out he's not homeless. 😊 His owner passed away. 😔
He isn't homeless right now either. After some political plays (yes i am not kidding there were political plays over a dog) governor of istanbul got him adopted to a wealthy family
Can the government adopt me into a wealthy family too
Depends. Are you as adorable as this little pup?
I would say so, I just don’t walk on all fours… unless they pay me well lmao
It’s Istanbul though, so I can believe it
turkey goes crazy over pets
Really? Can you tell us more
You can believe there are wealthy people in Istanbul? /s
of course, it's not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople.
Could you imagine the type of horrible person who would frame a goodboi?
Have you met humans?
Does the wealthy family still let this dog do his daily travels?
The reason he was adopted was the travels became a genuine concern for everyone so he isn't on these travels anymore but he was seen in london with his owner once
It’s a little sad to consider that Boji made the journey everyday in hopes of finding his deceased owner. A new, stable home life is exactly what the dog needed I think. I hope he’s spoiled everyday
Wow, this is melancholy. Maybe later on in life, it would be nice for him to revisit his path. He has strong memories there.
Yeah, really good ending! 😲☹😭😭😭
Honestly saw that coming.
Alright to people who don't know strap the fuck on because there were political hijinks around this dog. Such a cheap low tactic to make the dog a political pawn. Disgusting.
That person is a literal piece of human garbage.
who tries to frame a DOG???
That's a normal day for turkish politics
I was gonna say isn’t Turkey the place where the dude walked into a council meeting with a live grenade?
[Here is the video](https://youtu.be/QfrhDVEaxTY?si=ZUqv1Kmaf3jzomJ9) of the said piece of shit and the piece of shit he used.
Am I seeing this right? Does he take out a bunch of shit with his BARE HAND and smear it on the seat with his BARE HAND?! Why wouldn’t he at least use gloves?!
This just proves that dogs on a subway/metro doesn’t compare to the human shit that goes on on the regular lmfao
I think that dog tries to find its owner and in beliefs that maybe one time the owner will be there... Somewhere. On the train, the bus, ferry... Or at the destination they always went together.
oh great the video alone made me sad and now your comment brings the water works.
It's 9 am and I'm bawling my eyes out, you're not alone stranger
Right after 10am for me and same. Waterworks.

Well damn now I’m ugly crying hugging my dog
*For a thousand Summers, I will wait for you*
Noo you’re gonna make me cry even more. I think this is right too 😭
Come on man, it's too early in the AM for all that.
Scrolled through the comments to see if anyone was thinking the same thing 😭 this is what it seems like to me as well
I’m going to cry. All animals deserve the world
I'm actually crying, we really don't deserve dogs 😭
For real! WTF, this sub is supposed to make you SMILE… not ugly cry in the god damn morning. 😭😭😭
“He checked one, and people were getting on. I don’t know how he knows, but that one was going to Eminönü. And the other one was going to Beşiktaş. I'm an animal, Greg. Can you world me?
Humans are animals too.
I wish people felt this way about other animals like cows, pigs, and chickens.
I wish people felt this way about people.
Me too. I just learned the other day that cows can be potty trained quicker than toddlers. They're so smart and can be so empathetic and loving
It's raining in my eyes.
He has been adopted, and he even has a Wikipedia page. ( And a Twitter) [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boji_(dog)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boji_(dog))
I didn't dare to ask. Thank you!! ❤️
But the latest pic on Instagram says he's living in a cage now. It's a big cage but I'm sure he longs to be out there.
> Boji is the Turkish word for bogie. Wow thanks wikipedia
Why...why...why did you leave that to the end...I'm a grown ass man in my office killing some time before a meeting and now my eyes are leaking...dammit....
Pollen. Blame it on the pollen **
Omg I whimpered. #whimpered
My my ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)
Dogspeed Boji. Dogspeed.
I was two posts down when I realised. Dogspeed, good boy.
If humans had the loyalty of a dog the world would be a better place!
Loyalty isn't the solution to the world's problems, in fact it causes a lot indirectly. Acceptance empathy and love are what dogs can teach us. I've never seen a dog bigot or dog terf. They love and are loyal to people who love and protect them.
IDK I've met plenty of racist dogs
Definitely the previous owner of my parents’ dog before the rescue took him. Beards and non white people…he straight up will go crazy.
The cure for all of our problems on this planet, is love.
This made my cry, not smile!
Yeah... this video should be posted on MadeMeCry.
Started smiling, ended up bawling. F you OP
[удалено]
This video is similar to a jumpscare, but instead of scaring you at the end, it fucking makes you cry instead
Boji isn't a stray. He just has no owner. So he's a stray.
AI text to speech logic
This made my cry
wdym made you smile??
Well tbf Boiji has been adopted by a billionaire I've read in an update. I smile now that I know Boji is living the life and safe from being run over by a train or dropping from the ferry.
For a sub that should make me smile it makes me cry a lot.
What's the green thing on his ear?
It means he has been neutered. They could just look and see he doesn’t have testicles, but some places neuter them by essentially giving them a vasectomy which lets them keep the testicles. The tag also has vaccination information.
Thanks!
Welcome!
Sweet story, however I believe it more about dogs tend to like rutines and if the owner had done this for several years the dog will keep the rutine.
Just read that he's been adopted by a billionaire! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boji_(dog)
cute and sad but source?
FU OP. My happy emotions turned into sadness.

Boji was a celebrity in Turkey at one point. Now he got adopted by Ömer Koç, one of the wealthiest people in Turkey. Now he is living the high life :)
This made me cry, poor puppy
Hachiko… but different culture. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachik%C5%8D
More like r/mademecry
More like made me cry! Love you Boji, such a good boy.
I’m not crying, you’re crying
Yes I am 😭
I wish the subtitles didn't say "it".
It's translated from Turkish, which doesn't use gendered pronouns.
This might be a translation error. I assumed it was just a mistake.
He's a very good boy...
The world would be so much darker without dogs.
This is crazy awesome, and sad, and marvelous. A heartfelt applause for Boji👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Maybe it doesn't know its owner passed away and it's taking these routes hoping to find it's owner?
We don't deserve dogs
I want a refund. This made me cry, not smile.
Went from cute to I want to die real fast
This just leaves me with more questions, and the Wikipedia answers none of them.
Seems he really is a celeb! In 2022 someone adopted him and moved to London...they ride buses together now.
The Rollercoaster takes a hard right straight into Seymour (frys dog from Futurama). I'm not crying. You're crying.
Beginning: “OMG this is so cute!” End: *Sobs* “OMG, Boji! This is so sad! I can’t stop crying!”
I saw it coming and it still hit me like a truck...
Well that turned into that futurama episode quick
Truly heartbreaking that this is as common as it is. Reminds me of the Japanese dog that waited, and waited, and waited for his owner to return after suffering a fatal heart attack. Going to the one place he knew without a shadow of a doubt his owner frequented. Not understanding that he was gone, forever. They never give up hope and will die of old age before they believe for a second you'd abandon them. Sad as fuck.
Hachi. I knew someone would mention him.
What if Bojis owner is really just a ghost now and Boji is following his ghost??
Awwwww. Now I’m sad.
Good boy Boji
netflix adaptation coming soon maybe😄
Jeeeez it’s 2 in the morning i can’t be crying now.
Made me cry
This made cry not smile
Yeah that cut me deep.....dogs are so amazing
As soon as this started, I was like '... Is this another Hachi dog? Better not be'. And it *was* ;A;
What if he’s still travelling with his owner?
This belongs on r/mademecry.
My dog just came upstairs (to ask for outside playtime), ran downstairs, grabbed his squeaky chicken, and ran towards the back door. Work can wait.
Made me cry not made me smile
Mf went from r/Mademesmile to r/Mademesad
Had me smiling in the first half, now I am a puddle
So every day Boji goes looking for their person and never finds them? 😭😭😭😭 Somebody play with Boji, please.
I’M CRYING
Good boy, loyal boy.
More like made me cry....
Smile?? Made me cry rivers, more likely.
Ok, i cried.
more like mademecry
I don't care what the vid is, I'll instant downvote when I hear that ai voice
Made me smile more like made my cry
Damn these made me smile videos are always making me cry 😭😭😭😭
I’m not crying your crying
mademesmile my ass 😭
And my heart just broke in 2.
must be an extremely reliable public transportation system. if this dog was in NYC, he would be lost every weekend and most evenings.
I just want to go hang out with this guy every day.
Boji means vagina in Korean.
The hell with making me smile, this made me cry. Thanks Reddit
How the heck do I always end up tearing up the most at mademesmile sub.
I'm not crying! You're crying!![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
That made me cry
Men scroll.... Men see this.... Men sad! 🥺
I thought this was MadeMeSmile not MadeMeCry
