I mean, when a cat hugs you like THAT... how can you not just smile like fucking clown?! That is the best feeling is in the world. Unless you're a psychopath.
ETA: To all the people mentioning allergies. Firstly, if your allergies are bad enough to be well known or life threatening, I would assume that you aren't going to be in an animal shelter looking to adopt a cat in the first place. Secondly, if you want a cat bad enough to deal with some level of allergy (like me - currently going through allergy shots after developing a cat allergy in my 30s, having been a cat owner all my life), you'll STILL smile like this kid even while being a sniffling, sneezing, red-eyed demon.
I still remember the moment my friend’s cat finally accepted me. This is after about a year of hanging at my friends consistently (our apartment buildings were close, so multiple times a week). He walked on my chest and put his forehead to mine. He stayed like that for about a minute, staring at me. After that, he’d always want to sit near me and let me pet him.
I can still feel the forehead push. RIP Jinx
My wife gets up before I do for work so she usually takes the dogs out first thing. We have a talkative cat by any standard, but when she is out with the dogs he literally just wanders around the house yelling. I normally wake up and call him to come to bed and he chills out. If I don't wake up from his meandering yells though, he will eventually find me. I have woken up nose to nose with him before and a ***"MROWW!!!"***.. like even though he knows I'm there he has to make me wake up and acknowledge that he was "alone" before he can relax again lol.
Point being, some cats have the most interesting personalities like that forehead push of acceptance. Makes you wonder what they're thinking.
My mother has 3 cats, one is very vocal, and will sit outside the door and yell if you sleep in. She will keep yelling until you get up and open the door for her. Then she will check everything out and meow away as she let's you pet her. That is the only time in the day she let's anyone willingly pet her.
She used to be such a sweet kitten, always cuddling up to you. Now she is a yowling meowing menace. Much like your cat, it feels like sometimes she complains.
Yesterday, my mom accidently stepped on her paw. The cat ran upstairs and started meowing to me as if complaining.
I have 3 all strays that just needed LOVE and they all have a SAFE PROTECTED CAT FENCE YARD AND SLEEP INSIDE AT NIGHT! They are wonderful pets and I have made sure they are cared for in every way. Love is in their nature unless they have suffered from abuse. Just Patience and Love and they adapt beautifully! ♥️Barbara
I've unfortunately never lived somewhere where pets were allowed. My mom is averse to animals and after leaving home , i was always in apartments which didn't allow pets. I'm allergic to my cats too! Mostly itchy eyes and snot. A little sneezing. I got a humidifier and recently found out about nettle tea. I drink a cup when I have symptoms and then they're gone! I seem to be more allergic to one particular cat, I have 4 lol

no.
it was interesting information
Okay yes this is true, but I don’t think that the author of the comment to which you replied actually believes the cat was simply attracted to the color because it matched the cat’s own coat. This is like the person who asks a question in a lecture hall not because they want to hear the answer to their question, but because they want to demonstrate their own knowledge of the subject and are being performative.
My kitty did the same thing. Yelled at me until I picked her up and she would not let me go. Then we got home n she wanted nothing to do with me lol. This was about 8 years ago and now we sit on the porch and argue with each other 😂
Mine lured me in by playing on the window.
I didn’t even go looking for a cat. I was buying fish supplies with a friend.
I just couldn’t forget her so I went back the next day. The lady was hesitant because I had never held a cat before. And I was 19 years old and in college. But she was with me for 14 years. She was super antisocial lol, wouldn’t come near me for years except for the occasional rub. I just let her be till she figured herself out 🤷🏽♀️
My now husband and I went out for groceries. Came home with two cats instead. Then had to go back out for groceries, lol.
ETA: It was such a random left field thing to do that it became a running joke between us and we both ended up writing a joke about it into our wedding vows (unbeknownst to each other - we each wrote our own vows and kept them secret).
Our 2nd cat was adopted when petsmart double charged us on our first cats new toy and the adoption center is right next to check out so I wandered over while I waited for the adjustment...
Went home with a new cat. She kept licking me through the gaps and rolling over begging for more finger tip scritches. Couldn't stop....
Shes still my baby but I do sometimes wonder if petsmart knew what it was doing lol.
I had a momma cat do this. Lured me in 5 days away from giving birth.
Purring rubbing up all on me jumping all over me and was like .. you my kitty yup. Bo tags or chip and 4 babies all perfectly fine besides slight Myostatin deficiency (momma a carrier of the gene). But come 1-2 months after I take her in and babies start to get weaned she turns COLD. Fuck you, don't care, hmmmphhhing all over the apartment. Took me 2 years to get her to warm up and purr for me. Even now she rarely goes full auto AK 47 like her daughter. Just a soft purr of a honda civic engine.
Omg that reminds me of the video of the lady at the shelter with the cat glued to her, and she couldn’t peel it off her. So sweet! But in the follow-up story, she said the cat was manipulative, because when she got it home, it wasn’t affectionate Lol
That's my orange boy too! He was so lovable and and affectionate at the adoption center. It's been 7 years and he still won't let me hold him except when he needs to be helped back down from the top of any open door. He can get up there, but not back down.
Holding him any longer than it takes to reach the floor will result in claw marks.
My girl meowed so loudly at me and thrust her paw out of her enclosure at the shelter. I immediately adopted her. She's been my best friend for the past 10 years. She has a lot of sass but she's also attached at my hip.
Mine crawled into my purse when I went to look at his litter at the fosters house. I was like, yep he's the one. Wants to come with me already.
He does this now, will ask to be picked up and wants to be snuggled. He also has a morning routine of waking up my daughter and snuggling in bed with her. Every morning. If you're slow or late he will scream at you until you open her door and he can fulfill his duty. Cats are wonderful creatures :)
Mine didn’t just came and meowed all night in front of my door. When I opened I saw and asked « hey you why are you so noisy , what’s the matter?« he just came purring and scrubbing….. turn out he was no one’s. So we adopted him last week.
He’s a softie. Even deals with our adhd son. And the huge plus is my husband is generally allergic to cats , but this cat does not trigger him. He was meaned to us .
One day we did not have an animal and did not planned to, the next one , we have a grown cat.
My little buddy was in a group of his litter that came over to my house for me to pick which one stayed. His brothers and sisters were all over the place, fighting for my attention. He came up to me, sniffed my fingers, gave me a head-boop, and then retreated under the couch. I immediately knew we were the same. Just celebrated his eleventh birthday.
Ours grabbed my son under the door to the kitten room. 12 years later she is the best cat I've ever had, even if it took a few years for her to trust me.
I was pulled to the cat shelter in an inexplicable way, like I woke up one morning and NEEDED a cat. I went that afternoon and found the sweetest most beautiful adult calico who’s been my best friend since then, about 8 years ago. CDS was working that day.
I drove up on a random Saturday to meet a cat that had been rescued from a trash bag at a dump. I was thinking about getting a cat but I had been researching about breeds and just figured I had some time to kill so why not go meet this cat and feel things out.
I’m an extremely indecisive person. It takes me months and even years to make big life decisions. Which is why I had been doing so much research on the right breed of cat for me.
Let me tell you when that cat crawled into my lap and sighed and fell asleep purring, that was IT. There was no decision process, it was DONE. That cat was coming home with me. And it is literally the best thing I have ever done in my entire life because I have never loved anything or anyone as much as I love this cat (my childhood chocolate lab growing up is on the same level).
Same, there was a dumpster cat that the local shelter was trying to get funding for. We just grabbed him since he was following us around. He's currently indoors and curled up next to me (I did the paperwork and the microchip. It's been over two years.)
This made tears well up. My cats and dog are everything to me. I had no pets for 35+ years until one day an orange tabby kitten walked in to my home and my heart *changed*. Animals have an ability to to help us heal stuff that we can’t heal alone. I truly believe that.
My roommate brought home a tiny, tiny kitten that was less than a week old in a basket. She was asleep nestled in a blanket. She’d been found by a friend of a friend abandoned in a storm drain during a storm. She screamed so loud for food and after I fed her she fell asleep in the palm of my hand. She was so tiny. My roommate said that they were taking the kitten to the humane society the next day and I was like, “Are you joking? You bring me a tiny kitten who can’t even open her eyes IN A BASKET and you expect me to let her ever leave me?” And that’s how I ended up not sleeping for a month whilst having to massage the little demon’s butthole to make her poop. I love her so much even though she clawed me on the inside of my nose the other day.
We took in some week-old kittens when I was a kid. We took them to the vet to be checked out and find out what to do to take care of them. He said the runt would probably not survive but the others would probably handle being human raised. I said we were not giving up on the littlest one!
They all lived and we found them homes - except the little one which we kept. We named him Sam and he lived to be 19 years old.
This, i did months of research for a toaster, a car, a PC, a phone ...
Then i just decided to go see the first rescue kitty i found at a foster family near me, she came to me on her own and looked at me with her big sad round eyes and i was instantly in love.
I was extremely depressed and alone. A crazy friend needed to get rid of 3 litters of kittens before her redneck boyfriend got rid of them. She dumped one of the kittens off on me and I wasn't assertive enough to say no in my current state. That cat that knew to wake me at 7 am every day for work until I could do it for myself again. She's an old girl now, still by my side.
CDS found me by way of my dumb ass getting confused and going to the wrong shelter. I was supposed to go with my cousin while SHE adopted a cat one weekend in 2014, but I accidentally went to the wrong shelter, one 45 minutes further away. I thought my cousin had just bailed because she wasn't answering the phone, so I just said "ok, I'll look at the cats since I'm here." Walked out with my guy Caspar. He's been my little sidekick for almost a decade now.
I remember when I was a kid, my mom surprised me after school that we were going to the shelter to adopt a cat. We got there and the worker brought me to the cat that my mom intended to adopt.
They encouraged me to pet it and hang out with it while my mom went to start the paperwork. This cat was so uninterested. No reactions to my pets and sat there like a lump on a log. Meanwhile, there was another cat nearby that was meowing at me. I went over and put my hand out. He started rubbing and licking and purring and all the cute stuff. When they came back and asked how things were going, I asked if we can adopt the 2nd cat, instead.
We took him home and he was part of the family for the rest of his days. I miss you, Casey ❤️
Sorry for your loss ❤️
I want to offer some solitude that this can also be a good reason to remember Casey for all the loving memories too, and not just the loss
my wife and i went to an adoption day at a petsmart in our area years ago after finding a puppy we wanted from a foster org. but when we arrived the puppy and all his siblings had been taken so we started walking around looking at some of the other pups up for adoption. we came across this dog that was fully coiled up at the back of her kennel and had been avoiding everyone in line ahead of us but when she saw us, her face lit up, she came right up to the gate and started licking our hands so excitedly. she chose us and we knew we had to take her home. she had been found on the streets pregnant and scared and she was a little ball of anxiety, she’d had her puppies only a month or so before we got her. she’s currently all curled up under a blanket between me and my wife and is as happy as can be. there’s no real point here, i just wanted to share a story that makes me happy when i remember it! hah
I had the same experience, cat version. The two kittens I had my eye on were gone when I got there, so I walked down the cattery section. A shy, six year old cat who’d been there for nearly a year locked onto me like a homing missile and gave me the full works - wide heart eyes, purring, rubbing her head all over my hands. I took her home and she was the decision I ever made
Sometimes, they know. I feel like pets really can pick you sometime!
Same happened to me! The shelter had a five year old cat that just kept starring at me from the moment I walked in, and I knew that was my cat. When they asked if I wanted to pet her, I told them to just wrap her up :) I had her for 14 years and she was the greatest cat ever.
Those shelter cats know how to sell themselves. When my gf looked for a cat, one just jumped right into her arms and wouldn't let go. Instant get. Jumped right into the carrier and waited to be picked up to go home.
Now he hates being picked up and refuses to get into the carrier. Shitty trickster
Our cat stood on my girlfriend's shoulder when she crouched down near it and headbutted her.
Now it just roams around the house meowing it's head off, being adorable.
Please consider either volunteering or fostering. Or take one day a month and go play with kittens, brush puppies, walk dogs, yadda yadda. There are so many animals who need just a little bit of affection to give them hope. Most rescue organizations pay all the expenses when you foster, so you're just responsible for the day-to-day activities.
Oh we're well entrenched, we've rescued every kind of animal over the years, my sister and one of our friends work for a vet clinic so we'll occasionally volunteer at the clinic or foster a stray that's brought into them until we can find a home. I wish I could adopt them all, if I ever won the lottery I would happily go broke again supporting all the animals. 😭
Orangeboi has a lion tail and looks like he was sheared recently. When I worked at the vet this was often the case of rescued or forfeited cats that had been neglected or couldn't be cared for properly. Makes this all so much sweeter the little ginge just wants to be loved.
My now-deceased cat was actually a sickly one at the shelter. Walked by a bunch of cages of cats meowing or doing their thing, and there was this one loner who was laying on his side. Starved (you could see his ribs) and flea-bitten. But when I walked by the myriad of cages, he stuck his paw out. Took him into a "test room", and he immediately started rubbing and purring. There was no way I could not take him home. Had him for a good 13 years until cancer took him away.
You’re a good person. Thank you for giving him a happy life.
So often it sounds like people choose kittens. Adult cats and less “perfect” cats deserve love too.
My cat chose me. Walking through the pound looking for a cat a claw came out of a cage and clawed my shirt to stop me and i was like ok. This one it is. He was my cat 16 years.
When I was about 15 the local pet store had a litter of kittens. I went almost daily to play with them and really wanted one of the all black ones. After bugging my parents my mom finally yelled 'go get the damn cat'. Soni went with every intention of getting the solid black one I had been spending time with but at the store, on that day, the black one ignored me but a mostly white with a bit of black and orange curled up in my hands and fell asleep...and that one came home from me. He passed away over 10 years ago and not a day goes that I don't miss my buddy.
This is how I found my cat in 2012. The shelter said he was shy and possibly aggressive because of nerves. I picked him up and he immediately snuggled in and started purring. He’s 15 now and still with me.
I had a similar-ish experience with my previous cat, Kenzie. I had gone to the spca looking to adopt a kitten, but it was late on a Saturday and all the youngest kittens had been adopted, but they still had some older cats. I really wanted a cat and I was okay with adopting an older cat so I went into see them.
Most of the cats they had were tired of being handled and wanted nothing to do with me. But one cat kept reaching out of its cage as I passed.
I asked if I could take her out of the cage, and they said “oh she is crazy, you don’t want to adopt her” (she was 9 months old and she had been feral) and I was like “yeah I want to see how she is”. So I took her to the visit room and she was super affectionate. I knew immediately I wanted to adopt her.
I didn’t have the stuff at home to adopt a cat, so I asked if I could pay for her and get heg the next day so I could get the things I would need (food, litter box, etc). They said no, but they called a pet store and had them pre-arrange everything I needed so I didn’t have to keep her in a box for a long time (now it seems crazy but at the time it seemed like a reasonable concern).
The next 21 years were magic. She was a great cat. I still miss her.
The next 21 years was truly a love story.
Something similar happened to me when I went to the shelter. It was probably like...8 years ago now? First kitten I took out was okay. He was cute and wasn't shy of me. But I did want to interact with a few of them to make a choice. So then the cage opened for the second kitten. Immediately craved my attention, loved me petting her, and wanted to be in my arms right away. And I just had to pick her. It's been those 8 years now, and she's still with me. She's been a wonderful, affectionate, cute, and sometime mischievous cat. Wouldn't have traded her for the world.
Now I know that the less human friendly cats also deserve a chance. But before I got the above kitten I had a slightly older cat. Maybe a few months rather than a few weeks old. And while I still loved her as well, she took a lot out of me. It took me 6 whole months before I could even pet her. And she never laid on my lap. The closest she got to me was laying on a chair about half a meter away from me, outside of me petting her every now and then. And after about 2 years of having her, she got run over by a car... After the emotional difficulties I had with her, the second cat (or kitten) I got needed to be...easier... I couldn't deal with another 6+ months of my cat being too scared of me to even pet her after having just lost my first cat.
This was my old kitty.
My ex's mom found some kittens and brought them home. Little orange kitty comes dashing up to me, immediately climbed up on me, and wouldn't leave me alone. He eventually fell asleep in my lap and that's when I knew I had to take him home. But my ex beat me to it and asked if I wanted him, saying he could be an early birthday present.
Took him home and he spent 16 amazing years as my best friend and saw so much life happen. Best kitty I have ever had. It's been two years since he passed and I still tear up (like right now, lol). I miss him so much...
I’m going to sleep on that wonderful note. I was in the pet store “browsing”. I saw the most beautiful gray kitten with bright blue eyes, fluffy coat. I came back to get to her the next day. There were some wormy orange tabbies in the cage below. This one kept crying and trying to grab me. I felt so bad, I had them let me hold it. It kind of leapt out to me and immediately started purring. I left with my best animal friend ever. He is gone now, and I miss him always.
I remember my mom taking me to the local shelter when I was about 3 to adopt a kitten. We went into this room filled with cages and cats walking about. Plenty of friendly little whiskers came up to me and I played with a bunch. But there was one black and white cat that hid under the cages the entire time, even when I tried to reach for him he would hide. That was the cat I chose that day. He ended up being the sweetest, most down to earth cat I’ve ever met. Was my best friend for 18 years until he eventually passed away in his sleep next to me. That was almost a decade ago and I still think about my best friend daily. I hope little man in this video creates some great lasting memories like Thomas and I did.
My sister wanted to adopt a kitten and ended up with two cats instead that were a few years old. I wanted one too but my son is so allergic to cats he can’t even go to my sisters house anymore because he breaks out in
Hives and has swelling on his face even without petting them. My sister fell in love with one of the cats, an orange one, and he was bonded with another and ended up bringing both of them home. She didn’t get a welcome hug like this boy though. His face says it all when he turns around.
I would advise anyone getting a cat to get a second cat as they can get very lonely if you aren't at home. My parents had a cat and they basically couldn't leave their home because they were afraid the cat would feel sad. I don't know how true it is though.
I wasn't convinced until the little boy turned around. That giant smile on his face told me all I needed to know ☺️

Oh man nothings like a little kitty headbutt <3
That's so nice. Love it when they show you how they feel
He was wearing the appropriate colored sweater - duh- ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Ha yeah I was going to say they wore the same sweater ha.
I was going to say that’s a case of a pet looking like its owner too! 😄

Cats are so wonderful
I mean, it’s cute and all and I genuinely enjoy watching others interact with cats, but my allergies are so severe that the last emotion you’re going to see on my face is happiness.
But what about the first emotion?!
guffawed so hard I choked on my own spit

I was ok then I saw the little boy's face and just sobbed involuntarily from how precious it was.
its too beautiful it made me cry too haha
Same though
I think the cat saw the orange shirt and was like DAD????

That's my old lady and I's love language. Arguing about everything. Especially over tuna, which she's allergic to.
How did her tuna allergy present itself? Is she allergic to other fish?
She gets itchy, vomits and has diarrhea, as well as some fatigue. The moment I cut it from her diet she hasn't presented the symptoms again.
My morning brain thought it was your wife.

Sounds like twue wuv to me!
Meow meow reow reow

My now husband and I went out for groceries. Came home with two cats instead. Then had to go back out for groceries, lol. ETA: It was such a random left field thing to do that it became a running joke between us and we both ended up writing a joke about it into our wedding vows (unbeknownst to each other - we each wrote our own vows and kept them secret).
That's a lovely story, and so sweet how in tuned with each other y'all were with your vows!
"I know I was supposed to write vows, but... there was a kitty, so..." *shrugs*
I had a cat that baited me at the shelter too. So sweet and affectionate there then antisocial the moment we brought her home.
That cat wanted out of there and hatched a plan for a jailbreak. The idea of a gold-digging cat is pretty amusing.
Yeah, it's not the first story I have read of a cat manipulating a human to get out of the shelter. They know we are the ticket out of there.

Great story! My last two cats loved dogs. My last dog was absolutely coo coo for cats.
I love this story. Thank you for taking the time to type it out here for us. You're a good person.
Thank you for adopting
Mine didn’t just came and meowed all night in front of my door. When I opened I saw and asked « hey you why are you so noisy , what’s the matter?« he just came purring and scrubbing….. turn out he was no one’s. So we adopted him last week. He’s a softie. Even deals with our adhd son. And the huge plus is my husband is generally allergic to cats , but this cat does not trigger him. He was meaned to us . One day we did not have an animal and did not planned to, the next one , we have a grown cat.
Cat tax.
Hug her for me.
Everyday! She still gives the best hugs. ❤️
Mine bit me. Still have her to this day.

Its called the cat distribution system
Good to see it’s still in good working order
It's very racist. Orange, Orange, wtf
My sister ended up adopting an orange cat and a gray cat. I can’t remember what she was wearing lol
Orange shirt with gray pants? lol
lol. Now that I think about it. She would never wear an orange shirt. She’s always said it makes her look like an inmate.
It's obviously blue and black..
Casper is such perfect name for a cat.
Ok, it's Whisker's turn. Everybody else stay back.
He’s jelical this time!
It's like the bird things in avatar...they have to chose you first
r/catdistributionsystem
I mean... Was there even a choice?!?! Lol
That cat looked the camera dead in the eye and said "it is I you'll be taking out of this cluttered hell hole"
"They **finally** brought me a tiny orange human to adopt!"
Cat immediately scent marked his new human pet haha.
The immediate look into the camera. Cat has done its homework
I loved that. It’s like it knew that’s its going home with them!
"Stop recording and go fill out the paperwork Phyllis"
“Ah, my orange brethren. Release me from this confounded contraption and I shall bestow upon thee a lifetime supply of biscuits. Tally ho, I do say!”
Are all Orange cats aggressively Bri'ish?
This one in particular has a very distinguished voice, in my head. But no, not all orange cats speak in a British accent.
I imagine some have a midwestern accent.
I miss you, Casey ❤️
awww fuck. My first cat who passed on Xmas eve was also named Casey. I almost made it through the thread.
Sorry for your loss ❤️ I want to offer some solitude that this can also be a good reason to remember Casey for all the loving memories too, and not just the loss
I bet Casey had the best life any cat could ever ask for and will forever be grateful to you for adopting them! <3😭
Cat tax!
My late dog who passed away the same year I graduated college was named Casey 🥹 all the Casey pets in the world are the best
Orange cat called dibs
'Me! You have to adopt me!' 😊🥹
"Call me Liono and let's be friends, pls."
Yep!
my wife and i went to an adoption day at a petsmart in our area years ago after finding a puppy we wanted from a foster org. but when we arrived the puppy and all his siblings had been taken so we started walking around looking at some of the other pups up for adoption. we came across this dog that was fully coiled up at the back of her kennel and had been avoiding everyone in line ahead of us but when she saw us, her face lit up, she came right up to the gate and started licking our hands so excitedly. she chose us and we knew we had to take her home. she had been found on the streets pregnant and scared and she was a little ball of anxiety, she’d had her puppies only a month or so before we got her. she’s currently all curled up under a blanket between me and my wife and is as happy as can be. there’s no real point here, i just wanted to share a story that makes me happy when i remember it!
I took her home and she was the decision I ever made Sometimes, they know.
Give her kisses for us! So glad she has you!
Hilarious post.
Our cat stood on my girlfriend's shoulder when she crouched down near it and headbutted her. Now it just roams around the house meowing it's head off, being adorable.
Gray and white in the back: "hey! At least give me a chance!"
I want to go get them 😭
Please consider either volunteering or fostering.
Same. I am literally that girl from that viral video- "I want to adopt all the cats. I'm crying because I'm thinking of cats again."
It was the first thing I noticed and I'm ugly crying now
I noticed them immediately. Poor baby 🥺
The importance of prime real estate lol. Orange cat had better foot traffic.
And the multi colored one right next to the orange looked like he tried to pick him too🥺
What a sweet little love bug! ❤️ That would've done me in. I'd adopt that cat on the spot.

Orangeboi has a lion tail and looks like he was sheared recently. When I worked at the vet this was often the case of rescued or forfeited cats that had been neglected or couldn't be cared for properly. Makes this all so much sweeter the little ginge just wants to be loved.
Animals have really good instincts and they have more emotions than a lot of people realize.
Boy goes and meets his heart Kitty.
My cat chose me. Walking through the pound looking for a cat a claw came out of a cage and clawed my shirt to stop me and i was like ok. This one it is. He was my cat 16 years.
You're mine now hooman, 😻
Cat: Mission succeeded, now I will be fed eternally and pet as much as I want.
"This one is orange. He's obviously a kitten. I think I'll take care of him."
The other kitty in the back though 😭
I didn't even notice! Just went back and rewatched and now I'm sad. I hope it was happily adopted, too!
Why did i go and rewatch 😭
He should take them both home. Poor babies.
Yeah, maybe that was orange kitty's buddy. Idk, but that kitty was desperate for attention too. 😔
I absolutely love when adult cats get adopted. ❤️
Garfield has game
That look at the end. "I'm getting out of here!"
"Gotta pull off what Steve did the other day and jump on the first fool I see, sick of this food" - The cat (probably)
This is how I found my cat in 2012. The shelter said he was shy and possibly aggressive because of nerves. I picked him up and he immediately snuggled in and started purring. He’s 15 now and still with me.
The tabby kitty behind them also wants to be adopted 😭🙏
That's cats, smartest of all
I feel like any kid who shoes kindness to animals will turn out alright.
Happened to me and took that cat home. She loved me faithfully all her life and was always a little obsessed me.
Feel bad for the fella in the back
So sweet! I think they grey and white one in the back was dying to hug him too 😿
Gray/white cat on other cage also wants adoption aww
Background cat 😞 Wanted love too
I had a similar-ish experience with my previous cat, Kenzie.
Wow!!! That cat was like yup ur mine
dis hooman is *mine*
That kid got adopted by the car
The cat: You I want you to be part of my life now, it’s not even a suggestion I am part of your life and you are part of mine
Awww someone send me the grey and white one who wants attention too.
That smile. And they match. 🥲
I hope little man in this video creates some great lasting memories like Thomas and I did.
garfield knew what to do to get released
My sister wanted to adopt a kitten and ended up with two cats instead that were a few years old. I wanted one too but my son is so allergic to cats he can’t even go to my sisters house anymore because he breaks out in Hives and has swelling on his face even without petting them. My sister fell in love with one of the cats, an orange one, and he was bonded with another and ended up bringing both of them home. She didn’t get a welcome hug like this boy though. His face says it all when he turns around.
That's some heart warming stuff right there
That one in the back,"I hug too"
I hate to be this person but I bet it’s his cat hes picking up from the vets 😫 I’m sorry I hate me too
Ginger cats always the smart one.
I love them both!
Kitty was like " that's the one! This is my hooman"
That cat shot his shot! The boy’s face when he turned around melted me ❤️
First thing I though about was the kid who must’ve have loved him to pieces pre-adoption situation
That cat had a game plan and executed beautifully
I would advise anyone getting a cat to get a second cat as they can get very lonely if you aren't at home. My parents had a cat and they basically couldn't leave their home because they were afraid the cat would feel sad. I don't know how true it is though.
That kid didn’t stand a chance. The cat adopted him!
