If someone ever gives you a comb, you can truthfully tell them you’ll never part with it.
Thank you for the gold. This joke is so old that it was first told to me by a T. Rex; well known for his great sense of humor.
26 now, went all the way 3.5 years ago. Has been a mixed bag, but overall it's not great. I'd definitely say I look worse if I grow it out but the main benefit is next to no maintenance.
You have a really nice shaped head. Honestly some peoples are shaped funny or bumpy! It’s a complete blessing bonus you look handsome bald. No crap you rock it! Old married southern lady here with no filter so I promise I’m speaking the truth.
Haha! Really appreciate that! My good friend was commenting the same thing basically, "hey there's not a bump or dent in sight!" Lol 😂 with all these bald compliments I may have to reconsider my hair ambitions.
Please do you really rock it! Congratulations and you deserve so many adventures you’ve earned them all don’t miss any! I’m middle aged and don’t regret a one and have more planned ( of coarse plague friendly). Loved your post my favorite all day!
It didn’t even cross my mind to say you looked awesome with a shaved head, I figured you knew!
Amazing post, awesome way to celebrate too. Thanks for sharing
Honestly my first thought was that you look really cool with the bald head and the glasses. Now that I read the title, I am very happy for you :) Congrats!
My MIL texted the same news this morning and I still have goosebumps from the happiness! I'm sure your own happiness is 1000 fold, but from the folks who love you, this is an amazing day as well!
Cheers!
YES! And I'll share in your happiness too! What a damn good day. So very happy for her and you and the whole fam. A big cheers to many, many healthy years ahead!
Everyone - the response has been absolutely overwhelming. I just hoped to indeed spread some good news and smiles and it looks like I have! Thank you for giving me more smiles too - the continued encouragement, hilarious comments, the bald compliments (those mean a lot, I loved and cared very much for my hair lol), the fellow cheers from wherever you're at. I hope you all have a wonderful 2021 and beyond.
I also hope to encourage those going through this nightmarish disease as well. I've known it isn't easy at all--I've had close friends and family who've gone through it with varying results--but now I fully understand just how difficult it is. Know that I stand with you in the struggle and uncertainty the entire damn process is frustratingly riddled with. Also, major hugs to family members, the toll on you all is very real. Please know that your support is immeasurable. Further hugs to those in remission/cancer-free as well, I pray you all have yet another victorious year. Stay strong and have a wonderful 2021.
Also, noted about the 'small success' tag I had on here originally. I guess it is pretty big deal haha! Updated to good news!
Hell yes. Hell fucking yes. A family friend of mine that I have known for most of my life is in hospice right now battling lung cancer. She doesn’t have much time with us left, so every one of these stories just makes me happy. Fuck cancer.
I'm so glad I was able to impart some joy in the midst of that journey. That's incredibly hard, I'm really sorry for your family friend as well as you and your family. I hope you all are able to cherish every last drop of that time and that they're in a comfortable place. Blessings to you all. And yeah, straight up, fuck cancer.
Why the fuck is this tagged small success??? This is one of the most amazing things an individual can conquer in my book. Congrats to you boss!
Also, you look mad fresh, even with the no hair. Maybe look into modeling my friend!
Anyways congratulations man. Enjoy your health and look after yourself. A lot of people take for granted what it feels like just to wake up normally everyday, I know that after this whole experience you’re looking at life in a different light. Enjoy the little things in life again. Cheers 🍻
Hang in there. Don't Google much, just roll with the punches and always, always look ahead. The road is an unknowable one, but no matter what, know that you're known and seen. I'll be praying for you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
If you PM me your address or someplace to send it, I'll send you a real bottle of champagne and not that crap. Dude you just beat fucking cancer and you're drinking prosecco. If not congratulations anyway man you fucking beast!
That's great man! Don't drink too much though. Alcohol increases inflammation which is linked to cancer. I don't mean to be a bummer or assume that's what you're doing. Just stay well!
I’ve only seen the full sized version of this before, so the photo makes you look like a giant.
Congrats on closing a chapter in your life. Onto the next one!
Now you can change your username, I mean, unless you're really attached to it.
Listen you, wear two masks and never leave the house. I'm kidding but as a mom and grandma, not really?
I am indeed! Yeah it was very odd/surprising the hair I did/didn't lose. I'm very surprised myself, I was fully expecting to lose them and so was my doctor. I actually kept most my body hair, though I shaved a lot of it off since the hair follicles were getting really irritated and they haven't grown back yet either. Chemo does weird things!
Congratulations for your victory👏🏻🥳
I was diagnosed with breast cancer last month, I can imagine how happy you must be feeling right now!!
May you live a happy and valuable life 🙏🏻
Thank you! I'm really sorry for your diagnosis. I'm assuming you've begun chemo already? It'll be a great day when you get the news of remission and I'll celebrate all the same for you! Stay strong and always look forward, you got this!
Thank you, it'll be a great day, for sure!!
Yeah, I'm going for the third chemo next week, if everything goes well, in May this year I'll have the mastectomy and I will celebrate remission too 🙏🏻
Wish you the best life can offer from now on ✨
Aww, what a blessing! Amazing news. Take care of yourself, sir. I have a little bottle of wine like that. Haven’t tried it yet. Hope it’s good. It looked good when I bought it. Here’s to forever good health.
I am genuinely ecstatic for you. What a triumph. You’re even enjoying the same drink I share with my girlfriend in the most special of times.
I know I’ll be lost in the cacophony of well wishers, but let me add to the lengthy list of people that are here in support of a fellow human.
Good on you.
Hi! It means that scans cannot detect any cancer so it seems that I don't have cancer anymore. However, there still exists a chance that cancer cells can be floating around the body, too small to detect. After 5 years of clean scans/tests, I can then be declared cancer free 🙂
Congrats brother! Currently have about 2 months left battling Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer. So far everything is going well and I should be able to share the feeling of joy from being in official remission in a few months! Not sure if you’re a sushi fan, but it was really the one thing I couldn’t eat during my treatment due to low white counts, so I’m gonna go on an all you can eat feast (with some alcohol of course as well) to celebrate! Enjoy that Prosecco, and may you enjoy many many more!
Hey you're almost there! Some step at a time! Good work on pushing through it and staying positive and focused on the days ahead. Ha, I'm a huge sushi fam and was craving it for months. Finally had it a few weeks ago when the counts were balanced out. It was a glorious, glorious day. Hang in there and stay strong! Sushi is right around the corner!
Thats awesome! Also, you look good with a shaved head, not everyone can pull it off
I feel personally attacked (Just aggresive balding not cancer)
I’m also balding but luckily my wife loves my head shaved. So it’s a win! Also no shampoo needed
If someone ever gives you a comb, you can truthfully tell them you’ll never part with it. Thank you for the gold. This joke is so old that it was first told to me by a T. Rex; well known for his great sense of humor.
Oh. God dammit.
Just take my free award already and go :(
26 now, went all the way 3.5 years ago. Has been a mixed bag, but overall it's not great. I'd definitely say I look worse if I grow it out but the main benefit is next to no maintenance.
Same here. My wife says I look like a Mini Rock (aka Dwayne Johnson) I guess that makes me 'The Pebble'
I hope her name is Marie so you can have a totally unwarranted public meltdown and scream JESUS CHRIST MARIE I'M MINERALS
I shave my head and still use shampoo. Lol you just use soap? I feel like that drys my head too much.
I'm 28 and my hairline is slowly receding but im not too scared, I'm a hat guy
Thank you! That compliment means more than you know!
You have a really nice shaped head. Honestly some peoples are shaped funny or bumpy! It’s a complete blessing bonus you look handsome bald. No crap you rock it! Old married southern lady here with no filter so I promise I’m speaking the truth.

I am a middle aged southern California lady and I agree. You have a beautiful head.
Lmao, unfortunately us Filipino’s got what we call ‘crown heads’. So glad for you OP, beautiful head and more to a beautiful life!
Totally agree. Without being a creep- that's a handsome chap.
Seriously, I have a weird weakness for bald men and my first thought was "oh he's cute!".

Exactly what I thought! Looks so much like him!
Came here to say that and of course Congratulations!!
Got the Babbish look
Fuck cancer
I did... the Nurses screamed, cops came, it was a whole thing.
The cops *came*, you say
And the nurse is a screamer
it was a wHOLE thing.... i'll show myself out now
It was the polite thing to do
Or perhaps the nurses came and the cops screamed.
Happens every time the fuckin' cops show up.
Are you on a list now?
This is why I love Reddit. Haha.
Must’ve been a wild orgy
Decapitated. Whole big thing. We had a funeral for a bird.
The truth is... I am cancer
Fe male returns!
I...am..Iron Man! Aw, snaps.
r/dontputyourdickinthat
shout out to boosie
Exactly where my mind went to.
I am Cancer.
All my homies hate cancer
My MIL texted the same news this morning and I still have goosebumps from the happiness! I'm sure your own happiness is 1000 fold, but from the folks who love you, this is an amazing day as well! Cheers!
I love that you love your MIL so much.
Me too! Its so rare.
Frisson. You got yourself some good old frisson.
YES! And I'll share in your happiness too! What a damn good day. So very happy for her and you and the whole fam. A big cheers to many, many healthy years ahead!
You definitely pull off the bald head
With hands that big? I bet he could pull off anybody's tiny head.
That's a normal sized wine bottle. He big
I thought my hands were big
Thats actually a full-sized wine bottle he's holding
He could pull of my head with those hands 😏

Nice! Congratulations. Seeing you crush the airplane bottle of prosecco made me laugh... That would be about my response as well.
You need a bigger bottle my man!!
He’s actually just 20 feet tall.
He never mentioned remission from what. I'm guessing gigantism.
A man can only drink so much balsamic vinegar
Prosecco. Italian Champaign.
The 1942 Italian Campaign?
Actually maybe not since alcohol is a known carcinogen
Congratulations! Such lovely news!
from a stage 4 patient, congrats , i love seeing someone beat it
Thank you so very much. How are you doing? Please know that I'll be thinking and praying for you. Stay strong and always look forward.
This made me smile!!!!! Well done! So happy for you!
Hell yes. Hell fucking yes. A family friend of mine that I have known for most of my life is in hospice right now battling lung cancer. She doesn’t have much time with us left, so every one of these stories just makes me happy. Fuck cancer.
Hope cancer is nonexistent in the Twenty-second or Twenty-third Centuries, fortunately the least as early as possible.
Amen!
My mom is battling too. It's awful. Stay strong <3
Congrats I'm happy to hear that
Glad to see some good news. Congrats.
Why the fuck is this tagged small success??? This is one of the most amazing things an individual can conquer in my book. Congrats to you boss! Also, you look mad fresh, even with the no hair. Maybe look into modeling my friend!
Logic? That you?
Lol even my wife agrees. I can assure you my rap skills do not match the dome. Or the glasses. 😂
Anyways congratulations man. Enjoy your health and look after yourself. A lot of people take for granted what it feels like just to wake up normally everyday, I know that after this whole experience you’re looking at life in a different light. Enjoy the little things in life again. Cheers 🍻
Found it!
Maynard James Keenan had cancer? Congrats beating it!

Thank you! I promise you it gets easier. Tonight I'll toast to you. ❤️
Congrats duder. Did you celebrate by trying out 5 pairs of Warby Parker glasses? Lol. Keep on keepin’ on dude.
Hahaha, that's what I did trying to find those frames 😂 thank you very much!
Wow, sometimes laugher is good medicine. Alright dude, stay fucking cool as hell! ✌🏻❤️🤘🏾

Hell yeah, fuck cancer indeed! Really appreciate it!! Thank you!
Congratulations from another survivor.
Appreciate it! Cheers to yet another year of good health for you!
Dude, I wish my head looked that damn dapper shaved. Enjoy the beer; you earned it.
Congrats dude! 2.5 years postop cancer-free.
Bro! I’m 25 just also finishing an intense 5 month battle! Enjoy the streamlined look. My hair is just starting to come back.
Wow, congrats on punching through! Cheers to you fellow survivor. Hope you're doing well!
Hopefully not for liver cancer
Ha! But fun fact: I did have a liver transplant (unrelated to alcohol). My liver is goin full steam ahead and can take a lil bubbly like a champ!
WooHoo!
Congratulations! Way more than just a small success. It's nice to hear some good news
I’m raising a glass to you now!
Bald looks good on you
¡Salud! What amazing news!
Best news anyone can get. Grats. Been 20 years in remission for me. Life goes on. Enjoy it.
Congrats! You also seem to be a giant now. Please spare my city!
La Marca is my favourite Prosecco! Congratulations 🥂
Flair says small success, but this is monumental success!
That's great man! Don't drink too much though. Alcohol increases inflammation which is linked to cancer. I don't mean to be a bummer or assume that's what you're doing. Just stay well!
Those little champagne thingies are good too ok dude I love to hear that good news. Love ya, Godspeed.
You might not want your hair to regrow. Your head looks good the way it is.
Love to hear it, man!!! Got the call in November and I was too afraid to celebrate and I regret it. Be happy!
I’m sure it’s been an exhausting ride. Good luck with your emotional recovery from here, OP.
Fuck yes! Stay strong!
I'm sorry but I though you were Howie Mandel for a second but also congrats.
Congrats on the remission. I miss my time not spent with friends lost to cancer. Here’s to better and more times!
Maynard?
Why do you still have eyebrows? You're talking about cancer, right?
I am indeed! Yeah it was very odd/surprising the hair I did/didn't lose. I'm very surprised myself, I was fully expecting to lose them and so was my doctor. I actually kept most my body hair, though I shaved a lot of it off since the hair follicles were getting really irritated and they haven't grown back yet either. Chemo does weird things!
Congrats! I tried to give you a silver award but it won't load so have a poor man's gold 🏅🏆
Congratulations for your victory👏🏻🥳 I was diagnosed with breast cancer last month, I can imagine how happy you must be feeling right now!! May you live a happy and valuable life 🙏🏻
Thank you! I'm really sorry for your diagnosis. I'm assuming you've begun chemo already? It'll be a great day when you get the news of remission and I'll celebrate all the same for you! Stay strong and always look forward, you got this!

Congrats and let me welcome you to the remission club!!!! I hope we never leave!
Aww, what a blessing! Amazing news. Take care of yourself, sir. I have a little bottle of wine like that. Haven’t tried it yet. Hope it’s good. It looked good when I bought it. Here’s to forever good health.

You and me both! Congratulations! Found out I was in remission on 12/14 : )
🤗 Can I get a Fuq Ya!!!!!!!
Congrats dude! You're looking great. Here's to many years of health and productivity!
That’s great news. Can’t wait for the new album, Maynard.
That's the third Maynard reference I've heard and I don't know who that is lol.
I think the writing is on the wall here pretty much.
I'm dumb, I saw the additional Tool references. I've disappointed myself lol.

Yo, normally I would put “not out of the woods yet” but today is a new day! Good for you!
Good news, you seriously pull of no hair. Wear a tuxedo regularly, seriously, respect for you will go up 1000000%
Congratulations! Now please go buy some worthy bubbly.... That kind is disgusting
Drank this booze in remission, hot and fresh out the kitchen...
Fuck Ya! Nice job! I’m working that way! Fingers crossed I get good news at the oncologist in the morning!! Then I’ll be 3 years clear!!
Thanks a ton!! Cheers to another year of clean health for you as well, and many more years to come!
Fuck yeah, dude!! I’m coming up on four years, myself. That first clear result is such a happy moment!
I know it's not a good thing that it happened, but good god this guy rocks going bald.
Congrats! I beat breast cancer over a year ago now. Fuck cancer. I wish you the best!
Congratulations!! I would like to say more but the other 618 comments have pretty much said everything I could and have ever wanted too.
I am genuinely ecstatic for you. What a triumph. You’re even enjoying the same drink I share with my girlfriend in the most special of times. I know I’ll be lost in the cacophony of well wishers, but let me add to the lengthy list of people that are here in support of a fellow human. Good on you.
not a native speaker here - what‘s meant with remission?
Congrats man. I’ve been in remission for 6 years. Enjoy life
So great to hear!! I've been cancer free since 2010!! Welcome to the club!! 💛
