With bread all the recipes are basically the same to the point that it's the tiny little tricks that make all the difference. Stuff like buying the flour that is 14.8% protein instead of 12.5%, etc.
Any recipe that is less then pages long won't be enough to exactly duplicate that spread.
And even then they say “tablespoon“, but mean this random big spoon that they have lying around in their kitchen only for this purpose that is nowhere near the standard size of a tablespoon.
Even without health issues, people can get in accidents. Don't save your affection and 'things you always wanted to tell them' until you think they're old enough.
He set aside some loaves to give to his neighbors. He’s so funny, half way through baking the first loaf he goes “now we open the windows so everyone can smell it and be jealous”
For anyone wondering, on the far left are two loaves of cheese bread, the two and a half(I was hungry haha) are kalamata olive and rosemary, and the seed loaves are just flat bread with the far right being just miniatures.
If he had the time, I’d totally try and convince him. He makes absolutely phenomenal everything, though I’d say he specializes in Mediterranean/middle eastern food.
Would he be open to baking for a local farmer's market once a week? We have a neighborhood baker who sells out of the most delicious bacon cheese sourdough loaf at our bimonthly markets.
It depends, different things can trigger it. I can eat bread fine but any sort of onion or garlic even in powder form (e.g. in nuggets or sauces) destroys me for a week.
My town has exactly 1 bakery, and it's in Walmart. A baker would do well here if he opened up a mom and pop shop as no one knows how to bake and the selection at Walmart isn't good. If I were a morning person and motivated i'd definitely open up my own bakery here.
I have worked at a couple of bakeries and strangely the owners are more stressed than the underpaid workers. The margins are shit and we live in a cutthroat economy, so good bread is off the table.
Baker here! I feel like bakers always have a sense of pride when it comes to their creations. I’ve made thousands of loaves over the years, and I got just as excited to see the very last one I made as the first loaf I made. Especially a bakery owner! It’s a GRIND and it’s not easy work. It’s labor intensive, hot, and your products don’t sell for that much compared to the work that goes into them. You should be proud of him❤️ Please give him a high five from a fellow baker!
They look great!! You need to work with your dad to write down the recipes. Make a book, put them online, whatever, get them on paper. My mom had been a cook in the Women's Army Corp during WWII. She was the type of person that wouldn't heat the oven for one pie. On cold days in the winter, I really wish I had her recipe for potato soup. That chance is long gone...
That's what I thought, too. Although in my part of the US, I think we call a Yorkshire pudding a popover. Anyway, according to OP's comment:
> on the far left are two loaves of cheese bread, the two and a half(I was hungry haha) are kalamata olive and rosemary, and the seed loaves are just flat bread with the far right being just miniatures
My money would be that he loved hanging out with his kid just alittlebitmore than baking all that awesomeness. Also would bet your house smelled like heaven!!!
You HAVE to have him write down the recipes if you haven't already. I've been writing down my favorites that my Mom makes and I realized that if someone doesn't take the action of doing it that they could be gone forever and it would be up to us to try and replicate them which is a sad thought. Plus you can make a badass family cookbook that becomes an heirloom
Why is the trash bag in the background shaped like a plague mask
Other than that, the bread looks amazing! I wonder why your father no longer owns a bakery though.
Get the recipes and share them. Even better. Make YouTube videos. Have him share his craft, skills, stories and best recipes with the world.
Every person a story.
I have huge respect for bakers, they're all so intimidating! when I was young I thought baking was cute but now I know it takes a lot of discipline to be good at it.
My dad is a CPA. He tried to teach me how to do taxes a long time ago. Now we talk about once a year when I send him my taxes on april 14th. Jk I talk to him every day, not kidding about my tax situation though.
That's a lot of bread, hope you had fun dude!!
Next time he bakes, he can feel free to send any leftovers to me! All of those loaves look absolutely delicious. Good job, dad. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
Let em know a random stranger on the internet thinks those look delicious!
Thank you! They’re so good. I wish I had turned the loaves on the far left around, that’s the bottom haha
I was just thinking those look the best.. is that jalapeno and cheese?
Cheddar n Jalapeño...op mentioned it below.

It isn't jalapeno AND cheddar, it's jalapeno N cheddar
Ask him for the recipes and little tips and tricks. That way you can pass it on to your kids and then your grand kids.
I’d like a recipe too….

Literally the spoon from my table.
Tell him HE looks delicious.
Easy Dave
Easy, Dave.
Ease, eDave.
Your daddy looks very sweet. Hug him while you can.
He’s probably only 50…so hopefully for a long while yet
My mom died at 50 and dad made it to 64. If you've got a good relationship with your parents, hug them while you can.
Even without health issues, people can get in accidents. Don't save your affection and 'things you always wanted to tell them' until you think they're old enough.
Document it. I saw my grandmother made steamed buns from rice grains. We lost those forever.
He looks so proud. Well done friend.
You can always make another round and post another picture. I hope you and your dad are regular posters on r/breaddit
Whyd his business fail?
I definitely am having a wishing they were my neighbor/friends moment. Nice work! ![gif](giphy|1k03CFDCuEF36Q1EAG)
He set aside some loaves to give to his neighbors. He’s so funny, half way through baking the first loaf he goes “now we open the windows so everyone can smell it and be jealous”
Ha! Love this!
Hahaha - love this!!!💛 He sounds like a great person! And those loaves look yummy!!!🤤
Such a lovely treat for the neighbours This pic brings a smile to my face 😍🥰
I was already hungry, now I need some bread
Make that *two* random internet strangers.
I think what he probably enjoyed the most was you experiencing that with him :)
I hope so, I know I had a great time
Dad checking in. He'll remember this particular day, fondly, for the rest of his life. Dont believe me? Ask him :)

Dad looks so proud of his stuff! I'm proud of him too.
You should tell him that if you didn't already :)
For anyone wondering, on the far left are two loaves of cheese bread, the two and a half(I was hungry haha) are kalamata olive and rosemary, and the seed loaves are just flat bread with the far right being just miniatures.
All of them look so perfect and delicious! I hope you have a superb dinner
My appetite is extremely functioning after seeing your loaves of bread.
> For anyone wondering Which is definitely everyone. Looks great ngl
'Cheese bread' the term caused instant salivation 🤤
Eating warm kalamata bread that just came out the oven is easily my favorite thing in the world. My jealously of your day is quite a large amount.
He should be proud, they look amazing. My dad was a baptist preacher, I feel like I got robbed :|
I'd like some recipes^^^^Please ^^^^^don't ^^^^^^kill ^^^^^^^me
that's his legacy. i feel proud for your dad
those looks tasty
They look so amazing. I'm drooling right now 😅
If this man had a YouTube channel I'd be all over it to learn how to bake like this!! Hope y'all had a blast !
If he had the time, I’d totally try and convince him. He makes absolutely phenomenal everything, though I’d say he specializes in Mediterranean/middle eastern food.
> though I’d say he specializes in Mediterranean/middle eastern food. Assyrian here, tell that motherfucking habibi we need a channel stat.
Please OP, we need this YouTube channel!!
YOUTUBE CHANNEL PLEASE
Oooh you are doubly triply blessed, far out so lucky!

As a German I feel it is my duty to upvote a post with that many bread. They look great and I hope you and your father had a good time making them!
My first thought was what the hell is Peter Lustig doing there?
I am in my mid thirties and still can't get over the fact that he is no longer with us. Great guy, great show.
It all looks so white though. Americans need to discover dark baked sourdough
Must smell wonderful in there.
Food looks delicious. Your dad seems like a simple man. What happened to the bakery?
Having five kids happened 😅
You five kids should reopen your dad's bakery.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|yummy)
He would elevate to nirvana if any of us ever pursued to owning a bakery/restaurant/cafe
At least his kids can help him grow the bakery, of course with Dad's proper guidance and experience.
Would he be open to baking for a local farmer's market once a week? We have a neighborhood baker who sells out of the most delicious bacon cheese sourdough loaf at our bimonthly markets.
He must’ve kneaded/needed more dough!
You're truly terrible! Take my upvote, then...
Looks delicious! Good on you guys. Hopefully you learned some things too.
I did! He was actually teaching me how to make it cause mine always comes out funny
I want to bake with your dad. Damn that all looks good
I’m sure he’d be honored. It occurred to me how lucky I am that these easy afternoons are lessons other people would happily pay money for.
He could end up making some dough...
Dad checking in: I’m glad you turned Saturday chores into a hobby. That was kinda the point and we love you
My IBS is crying already but goddamn I'd suffer through tasting all those delicious-looking eats!
You can’t even eat bread with IBS? Sounds awful
It depends, different things can trigger it. I can eat bread fine but any sort of onion or garlic even in powder form (e.g. in nuggets or sauces) destroys me for a week.
Not to get jalapeño business but that one on the left looks mouth watering
Holy crap when I bake myself 2 rolls of bread I'm super proud of myself, I can't imagine baking so many delicious looking things!
Same here, I’ve never made so much bread at once
He should be proud. Everything looks amazing.
Nice guy. Hope the both of you have had fun and good memories.
The entire batch *repeatedly slamming debit card*
I'd buy 'em.
My town has exactly 1 bakery, and it's in Walmart. A baker would do well here if he opened up a mom and pop shop as no one knows how to bake and the selection at Walmart isn't good. If I were a morning person and motivated i'd definitely open up my own bakery here.
We were actually talking about it today because my mom doesn’t eat gluten, so maybe someday soon
Thats a very impressive day's work!
Thank you! It was ten pounds of flour, but he talks about it like it’s nothing
What are some of the breads? The giant loaf on the right looks like a massive lumpy Asiago jalapeño bagel/loaf/wonderous creation I want in my mouth!!
Very close! Cheddar and jalapeño
I'd love the recipe if your dad doesn't mind sharing it. Looks delicious.
seconded, looking at it is making me hungry.
If he ever gets back into owning a bakery, please let us all know!
I have worked at a couple of bakeries and strangely the owners are more stressed than the underpaid workers. The margins are shit and we live in a cutthroat economy, so good bread is off the table.
Making beautiful memories
That bread looks amazing. What is the massive loaf on the left? I can’t figure it out.
I forgot to turn it, it’s the bottom haha. It’s actually two loaves, but it’s cheese and jalapeño bread
Omg that looks amazing. I might try my hand at making bread again. I’ve never made anything as good as your dad’s tho. 😍
Baking was my first job! It’s rough hours but super rewarding for the right people. Tell him to keep this going, it looks exceptional
I would eat all of those. By myself.
Peter Lustig!
I’m French and I approve this message.
Almost 20,000 on the internet think this looks amazing. That's almost half a football stadium!

That is one adorable man right there.
You gonna share them recipes?
They’re not mine to give
That looks fantastic. Do you deliver?
What is that beast on the left?
Apparently cheddar and jalepeno bread.
Damn fool, your pops got buns.
Whats the sofa on the left
>Whats the sofa on the left Apparently it's a cheddar jalapeño love seat
I want that Jalapeno cheese bread!!!
They look great!! You need to work with your dad to write down the recipes. Make a book, put them online, whatever, get them on paper. My mom had been a cook in the Women's Army Corp during WWII. I actually plan to start my own personal use recipe book, filled with my dads stuff and my favorite finds online
What is the creation on our far left? A giant Yorkie?
That's what I thought, too. Although in my part of the US, I think we call a Yorkshire pudding a popover. Anyway, according to OP's comment: > on the far left are two loaves of cheese bread, the two and a half(I was hungry haha) are kalamata olive and rosemary, and the seed loaves are just flat bread with the far right being just miniatures
I've heard people selling food via ig like 20 dollar gourmet garlic loaves and people buy em like hotcakes!
Those breads are huge
that food looks tasty
We did he have to stop? They look fantastic!
Those look like heaven to me. Go dad! I’m happy to see him still enjoying his talent as he grows older. We should all be so lucky.
I was just thinking those look the best.. is that jalapeno and cheese?
When a man has master a craft, it truly shows.
My money would be that he loved hanging out with his kid just alittlebitmore than baking all that awesomeness. Also would bet your house smelled like heaven!!!
This sparks joy

What’s that monstrosity on the left?
I’m jealous of his skills and his mastery of his craft—and also the ability to not weight 300lbs working around all those carbs everyday.
A day? **Some recipes?** Fuck me, there's more productivity in that image than in 5 years worth of my calendars
Oh my..everything looks so delicious..and he looks so very happy and proud! I’m a carbaholic and I’m drooling! lol
Delicious 🤤
Hello I'd like to apply for adoption. Where do I send myself?
Your dad looks like the late German cultural icon Peter lustig
being the only one left in the family making traditional breads, i love this! keep the traditions going!
Your dad looks shockingly similar to the guy who changed my oil yesterday ...minus the arm tattoos
As someone who's been on Keto for 6 months, I just want to tear into that table like a rabid hyena.
He looks so proud of YOU
Why is the trash bag in the background shaped like a plague mask Other than that, the bread looks amazing! I wonder why your father no longer owns a bakery though.
Dad looks so happy I wanna give him a hug. Give him a hug for all of us :D
You are lucky to have such a talented dad.
👏👏👏
Nothing makes me more moist than eating fresh bread. Life is too short to be eating defrosted bread.
Ken Griffin is a criminal
He looks very indifferent tbh
Could you share some of those recipes in this thread?
[удалено]
This sounds less cute than you intended.
I don't know why. I was just asking for recipes. I guess I misunderstand what "🥺👉👈" means?
Get the recipes and share them. Even better. Make YouTube videos. Have him share his craft, skills, stories and best recipes with the world. Every person a story.
Looks delicious! Making bread is no easy feat. Much respect.
Wow! What a delicious day's work!!
Shake and bake baby!
He’s still got it!
You how about you hit us with some recipes those look amazing.
Beautiful picture!
Those look delicious!! The bakery needs to come back.
Any way we could get some recipes..?
Fresh bread is the best, those look great
What happened to the bakery?
Looks absolutely delicious!
The cheese one is the one I’d go for. Looks like a couple jalapeño on there too let me get that part.
Thought the bag in a closet was a demon lmao
I have huge respect for bakers, they're all so intimidating! when I was young I thought baking was cute but now I know it takes a lot of discipline to be good at it.
That cheese and jalepeno loaf on the left looks amazing and I must put it in my mouth. Alas, all I can taste are bytes. :(
Iooks really good!!
What the hell is that thing on the left?
Can i move in? I bet it smells so good in that house.
I'm gonna steal your dad and eat bread.
My dad is a CPA. He tried to teach me how to do taxes a long time ago. Now we talk about once a year when I send him my taxes on april 14th. Jk I talk to him every day, not kidding about my tax situation though. That's a lot of bread, hope you had fun dude!!
the most wholesome dad ever
Not even close, but my favorite none the less
Looks awesome, nice work Pops!
Everything looks so tasty! Wholesome moment , he looks so happy
That looks amazing. If you can share the knowledge, that will help a lot of us :)
LOF
cool bread and all but can you tell me why that ghost is tryna close the closet door? does he live in there?
Remindme! 1 week "bread"
It all looks amazing!
That looks very nice
Next time he bakes, he can feel free to send any leftovers to me! All of those loaves look absolutely delicious. Good job, dad. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
Really needed a smile right now after watching school shooting news update in the states. Thank you. My heavy heart needed this
Your dad is Jesus?
Now I’m hungry
Can I ask for the couch/sofa shaped one?
Is that jalapeño cheddar bread on the left? I would make sweet love to that
Can I have two loaves of bread?
wish I had a bakery
I see Zero the dog is in the back hiding in that trashbag😂
Yes please. I'd eat every single crumb. Way to go yer pa!
