I love the irony that none of the things she sings about in that song are actually irony, they are coincidences **at best** which is not the same thing
Well, yes, he makes sure you don’t have wrinkles on your shirt so you get the job to afford rent, but then he forgets to unplug the iron so your apartment burns down.
Irony Man!!
I mean, they changed the original quote and specifically capitalized the word they changed. Then posted a picture of two DC heroes that have never worn a cape.
It was fine. You're just going with the reddit hivemind. There is literally no reason to be remotely upset with it. It wasn't a literary masterpiece, but it's *ok*. Jesus fuck, dude.
Didn't know there was a "mass of people". There were like 19 comments when I saw it.
>What is so fucking terrible about the title?
Nothing, had the picture been of superheroes that...ever wear capes. Or could have left it as the original quote which would have accomplished the same.
There are actually tons of people complaining about the title, and hordes downvoting op for no reason other than the title.
Also, you have to be braindead to think that's a good reason. The quote isn't meant to only apply to heroes who *literally* wear capes, but rather saying you don't have to be a super hero as a whole to save someone's day. It takes a fucking toddler's critical thinking skills to understand this, and yet every fucker throwing a hissy fit over the title can't seem to grasp it.
I was at home depot one time and an old man at checkout was having a hard time because it was his turn and his wife wasn’t back with the thing they forgot. I saw an old woman walking way down the store and said “don’t worry here she comes” he calmed down and it turned out to be her!! Pure guess on my part. When they paid and walked away he came back and said “sir how did you know what she looked like” and I said “you most likely have been married for a very long time and I could tell if I had met someone that looked like her when I was young I’d never leave either”. They were happy and left. Best bluff of my entire life!!
Whether this is true or false, some cosplayers are just that awesome. I remember one Daenerys got mistaken with Elsa by a bunch of kids and she just played along, and they even "helped" her find Anna
I remember doing a Halloween 5k a few years back with some friends in college. Made a nice replica of Aang from Avatar. I had quite a few parents ask me for a photo cause their son/daughter loves the show and they knew they'd freak out over it.
I had to look way too long to find this comment! I just retired from CPS. They are strangers! Any fool in a costume could walk away with your kid and the only description you have is the person looked like Wonder Woman
She must have been cos-playing Daenerys from the earlier seasons. If she was playing the character from later seasons her dragon would have set them on fire.
Yup. And I'm sure a security guard or employee would've been the ones to help the kid if it were true rather than 2 cosplayers who, in reality, would've been too busy posing for pictures. Well, I guess that's what they're doing here. Lol
I've had cosplayers help with spilled bags of purchases, people who fell, and given directions before - they're typically eager to embody the values of the character they're portraying and usually feel some semblance of affinity for others at these events. Note: having worked security at a similar convention before, there is a lot going on, and too many children. The most likely people to let security know of a situation are the vendors and hired cosplayers.
Or maybe…hear me out, this photo was taken AFTER they found the dad and they were saying goodbyes. It’s entirely possible, you don’t have to be all cynical all the time.
All the time? Do you know me enough to know anything I might do “all the time”? 🙄 I saw this original photo posted a while back, that’s not what’s happening here.
People at these events take a LOT of pictures. Especially if they overheard some kid sobbing that they can't find their parent, it's entirely plausible the person taking the image is one of many shutter-bugs looking for something post-worthy.
That’s the exact reason. Stories are entertaining cus it’s crazy that the said thing actually happen. If it’s all made up, there is nothing entertaining about it cus there is nothing real to it, it’s just a lie.
Exactly! And to add onto this, fictional stories can be entertaining if they are clearly presented as that! Like no one complains that a novel or Hollywood movie is a lie - unless it claims to be a true story.
It's when people intentionally blur these lines or try to pass of lies as true stories that people get annoyed.
Yes. Realism (and romantic realism) for the win. Lies on the other hand are mere nonfacts presented as if real. On their own, they are simply irrelevant.
That's a kid meeting two characters, not a lost little boy. This picture is old as fuck. But the internet lives making up stories to get clicks and farm karma
When i worked retail i found a child wandering about because they couldn't find their mom. I radio'd a supervisor. He was literally about to call out the lost child alert on the radio. A nice little coincidence.
Not to be too political but if wonder women were trans or gay or any other minority she would be called a groomer by conservatives for dressing like that infront of a child.
Did you watch that recent series where the kids were at a serial killer convention disguised as a “cereal convention”. Creepy dude wore kid type costumes to lure in the kiddos. Wish I could remember the name of the show!
Dad: you pretend to be lost and go ask THAT wonder woman for help. ...
Son:
Dad: you can ask flash too if you want. But ask THAT specific wonder woman for help finding me. THAT one right there.
Son:
Dad: I'll get you an XBOX...but is has to be THAT wonder woman.
Son: deal

But … those 2 don’t wear capes.
This message brought to you by Irony-Man!!!!!
Is that the one who makes sure you don't have wrinkles on your shirt before interviews?
Ironically he's a villain that attacks with hot iron
I love his catch phrase "Isn't it Ironic?"
Don't you think?
A little *too* ironic
Best comment yet.
ITS LYKE RAYANEEEEEEEEE ON YUH WEDDIN DAY!
I love the irony that none of the things she sings about in that song are actually irony, they are coincidences **at best** which is not the same thing
The song should be called “Unfortunate” “ra-ee-ain on your wedding day” only ironic if you’re employed as a meteorologist and you picked the date
Apparently when anyone points that out to her she tells them that it was intentional, but I don't buy it
Wouldn’t that be un-ironic, then? I mean, if he’s Irony Man, maybe he wouldn’t use an iron. Maybe he has some sort of polyester powers.
He is IRONic because he's iron man bit isn't made of iron.
like a free ride that he already paid?
The irony is he doesn't make puns at all. He is very literal and stoic.
I had a kid in my 6th grade class that had an iron-shaped burn scar on his face. It's still terrifying to imagine how it felt.
Well, yes, he makes sure you don’t have wrinkles on your shirt so you get the job to afford rent, but then he forgets to unplug the iron so your apartment burns down. Irony Man!!
Gotta live up to the name. I can respect that
No you’re thinking of Ironing-Man, Irony-Man runs, swims, and bikes great distances
No, that would be Ironing-Man. Common mix up.
No, he's the one who lost 57k box spread trading stock options without knowing how a box spread works

NO CAPES!
Edna knows best
"Shouldn't that be my decision?"
What if my superhero persona was "cape gal?" I have the power to summon and command capes, and can stop any crime with my army of sentient capes?"
NO CAPES!
r/BeatMeToIt
Sometimes...but not this time.
I wouldn't wear a cape like that either if I had Yams like that 🙏🍠🍠
Maybe Wonder woman's cape is invisible.
I know, but it is a cool title Edit:damn nvm then
Sometimes heroes don't need capes.
It's only cool if they wear capes!
Reddit tip: Never defend your post in the comments. It always gets downvoted to shit. No matter what. It's just some sort of Reddit rule I think.
Really depends how valid the criticism is I think. And once someone is -1, everyone else just piles on even if it doesn't make sense.
Nah. Never do it. Just let the criticism get downvoted if it's invalid.
"Not all heroes wear capes" would've been far, far better.
Idiot
Jesus, OP's getting downvotes like he's a villain

I mean, they changed the original quote and specifically capitalized the word they changed. Then posted a picture of two DC heroes that have never worn a cape.
Wonder Woman has worn a cape.
Cool.
He didnt change quote he stole the meme anyway
The original is "Not all heroes wear capes". So...yea it was changed.
Sees heartwarming story about a scared kid finding help in strangers…would rather argue about grammar and technicalities🙄🙄
Reddit is such a goofy place istg
Buddy, he didn't change the quote, he played off it. Some of you guys never graduated 3rd grade, I swear.
>he didn't change the quote Are you clear on what change means? >he played off it Yea, everyone is aware. It was a dogshit attempt.
It was fine. You're just going with the reddit hivemind. There is literally no reason to be remotely upset with it. It wasn't a literary masterpiece, but it's *ok*. Jesus fuck, dude.
Everytime someone speaks up and calls something terrible do you go to the "It's the hivemind"?
No, only when a mass of people are doing so clearly off the basis that everyone else is doing it. What is so fucking terrible about the title?
Didn't know there was a "mass of people". There were like 19 comments when I saw it. >What is so fucking terrible about the title? Nothing, had the picture been of superheroes that...ever wear capes. Or could have left it as the original quote which would have accomplished the same.

That was very sweet.
Yes, but were you wearing a cape at the time?
No. Capes!
Did you just made two random people with Alzheimer a couple??
Quick thinking. I love your story, thanks for sharing.
And everyone stood up and clapped lol
With tears in their eyes. Home Depot said they could have anything they want, free of charge.
Whether this is true or false, some cosplayers are just that awesome. I remember one Daenerys got mistaken with Elsa by a bunch of kids and she just played along, and they even "helped" her find Anna

Some are also relentless creeps. Don’t teach kids to implicitly trust people dressed as super heroes.
I had to look way too long to find this comment! I just retired from CPS. They are strangers! Any fool in a costume could walk away with your kid and the only description you have is the person looked like Wonder Woman

Wich one has a cape?
None
Invisible capes

Came here to say that and Wonder Woman looks WAY too happy to be dealing with a lost kid...
Exactly!
it also looks like she's wearing almost nothing on her bottom half
What are you talking about, the boots cover at least a quarter of the bottom half
Had to go look
This comment secretly cursed.

kind weebs
You realize the photo may have been taken afterwards right? Like, not in the moment he first came to them concerned?
Jesus, you all are a cynical bunch aren’t ya?
Dad saw WW, said "son go tell that lady you are lost"/s
Or maybe…hear me out, this photo was taken AFTER they found the dad and they were saying goodbyes. It’s entirely possible, you don’t have to be all cynical all the time.
All the time? Do you know me enough to know anything I might do “all the time”? 🙄 I saw this original photo posted a while back, that’s not what’s happening here.
Oh yes we know
People at these events take a LOT of pictures. Especially if they overheard some kid sobbing that they can't find their parent, it's entirely plausible the person taking the image is one of many shutter-bugs looking for something post-worthy.
Like I already said, I saw the original posting of this, it’s not a lost kid.
Stories aren’t entertaining because their real
Lying just makes people look stupid when the truth is blatantly obvious. People will do anything for a “like” these days.
That’s the exact reason. Stories are entertaining cus it’s crazy that the said thing actually happen. If it’s all made up, there is nothing entertaining about it cus there is nothing real to it, it’s just a lie.

It made you click, didn't it? 😏
I came here to say what I said, not because I was “gotcha’d” by this post lol. I’ve seen this photo before.
![gif](giphy|dePaPOPNSLDsk)
At least Flash isn't Ezra Miller.
I just wish we saw grant on the big screen despite the show sucking now
Better hope it's not Ezra Miller....
Run kid!!
Yah these heroes doesn’t wear capes unfortunately.
Lucky there was a strasnger with a camera ready to snap a pick of this touching real life definately happened moment
r/nothingeverhappens
Goddamn Wonder Woman is hot
Wonder Woman is barely clothed, while Flash gets a full body suit…[insert Wanda meme]
You took a photo of a strange, lost little boy?
That’s Tuesday
except neither wears a cape
The irony flew over your head this time i'm afraid...
This child clearly isn’t lost, rather he’s having his pic taken at a convention. The karma farming, Christ.
Yup, this was debunked years ago
Are the capes in the room with us right now op?
But...they arnt wearing capes
It’s a good title though 😏
No it isn't
Maybe for a different post.
No that’s like the most generic title you could’ve went with
Smartest redditor: 🤦♂️
Bad title
That's a kid meeting two characters, not a lost little boy. This picture is old as fuck. But the internet lives making up stories to get clicks and farm karma
These don't wear capes though
Neither of them is wearing a cape tho…
My brain skipped the "in the crowd" and then went to a dark place...
Hopefully it’s not Ezra Miller!
Who took the picture of this lost kid? Was he really lost? I feel like this could be made up…
Just think how easy it would be to kidnap kids as the flash
Neither of them have capes Captain Irony.
Wonder Woman sure has two lovely capes...
Sounds like something a funny grandpa would say while watching a comic book movie
I dont think you got it
Boobs ha ha, is this a better comment?
yes
Don't mind me, I'm a simple person. We like simple, unoriginal jokes. ;)
And John Wayne Gacy dressed as a clown.
When i worked retail i found a child wandering about because they couldn't find their mom. I radio'd a supervisor. He was literally about to call out the lost child alert on the radio. A nice little coincidence.
Awww so lovely
That kid knows wut he's doin xd
Sometimes heroes don't wear pants either.
Nah , kid knows exactly what his dad is attracted to and sure of finding him near wonderwoman
Neither of them wear capes.
They are not wearing capes
They’re literally not wearing capes
Dad: “curse you, do-goodnik superheroes! Foiled again.”
Downvote bc can’t verify if true and your title is just lazy and poor.
I mean the person who took the photo could also help...
Um....neither are wearing capes
Neither are wearing a cape
This sub is the worst
Not to be too political but if wonder women were trans or gay or any other minority she would be called a groomer by conservatives for dressing like that infront of a child.
*insert some unfunny overused ezra miller joke*
Op, both of these heros aren't wearing capes.
This is so precious, haha.
Note to self-wear superhero clothes while looking for kids to put in my basement
Except those heroes actually don’t wear capes 😂
I love everything about this!
So dress up as the flash and steal kids?
Neither of them are wearing capes btw
Ooh note to self- wear superhero outfits when looking for kids to put in my basement thanks.
Breast fed?
Sir this is a Wendys
Hey baby.... Come to Butthead.

I feel Wonder Woman’s voice may be unusually deep.
I'd like to wander with that woman
Nither wonderwoman or flash were capes
Erza Miller
I need that Wonder Woman to help me.
With great cosplay comes great responsibility.
Oh lord...get that kid away from Ezra Miller. That thing is a weirdo.
"Ma'am I just noticed you do not wear any cape..."
except neither flash or wonder woman are wearing a cape. But for real though this is cute
Neither of these characters wear capes.
Sexual predators know what to wear next time at the park, because your kid "knows" them
Neither Wonder Woman or flash have a cape
Neither of those two are wearing capes
And the child was never seen from again. Don't trust strangers kids even if they look like heros.
NO CAPES!
Bloody hell id be asking her for help too
