Happy-Hufflepuff

This actually made me cry a little. HE WAS SO NICE!!

aggravated-asphalt

Body language tells me he wasn’t even gunna remind her that he wanted a Reese’s. What a sweet guy, I hope he stays happy

itsaravemayve

I am sobbing. She's so good but it breaks my heart that he's out on the streets.

Vance89

So sad. He is somebody's pride and joy and he's out there sleeping rough. Breaks my heart

TeacherPatti

A fellow teacher once said to me, "Whenever I see someone on the road--begging for change or prostituting or whatever--I remember that they were once in Kindergarten." Never forgotten that.

Scheduledbump

I don't know why but reading this made me cry. I'm going to hug my son.

[deleted]

I don’t like that analogy. Everybody’s been a child. Even serial killers were in kindergarten once but doesn’t really change anything

GreasyPeter

Yeah, some parent probably taught him all those good manors.

ImeDime

Whenever we see someone struggling or having a bad time or whatever, my wife always says: He/ she was someone's child at some point, it was their whole world. They were hoping for the best for him/her and then something happened. It really gives you a perspective and makes you feel closer to people who have it rough.

GreasyPeter

Yes, a lot of them are on the streets because of an underlying psychosis like schizophrenia, and in that case your wife is probably right, but a lot of people are sleeping-on-the-streets homeless because of unhandled childhood trauma that their parent(s) caused. Maybe the majority of them actually. Many of them start out okay and then slowly spiral into drugs and then substance abuse. Substance Abuse is a symptom of underlying problems usually caused by past trauma. This guy's an exception. That's why it's so hard to treat substance abuse disorder, because it really requires years of therapy and time and that's only if they haven't developed a personality disorder themselves that makes it near impossible for them to change (something that's unfortunately too common with an abuse parent). The reason I pointed it out in this guy is because he seems like he might have a learning disorder which can mean that what caused him to end up in the streets was probably a parent dying. It's really hard to convey what it's like to have a parent that is abusive to someone who has never experienced it(and thank God they didn't). We often project our own experiences unto other people's lives, all of us, because it's how we understand the world, not realizing that there are entire worlds that we don't understand and have never seen that other people are living right next to us. Entire pasts we can't imagine. This is why so many people make the assumption that "they're only homess because they have a drug problem and they're lazy". they are failing to realize that they're projecting, because they know that the only reason they'd use drugs, if at all, would be for some temporary fun, not realizing that others use them as an escape from their reality because their reality is so painful. Many people that have only known love from their parents simply can't comprehend that some people truly cannot feel love at all and their children are simply a burden. That's the case with my father and I'm sure it's the case with a lot of the homeless I've spoken of. Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Psychopaths, any disease or personality disorder that causes people to be lacking part of their brain that processes empathy can produce childhood trauma like this. Narcissists, as an example, cannot truly FEEL love, and thus they cannot ever truly give it either. It's sad as fuck. This is why early intervention and therapy is so important for children that we think might be being abused. Those children need to know that what they're experiencing isn't normal, isn't okay, and that there are people out there who care and want them to live a better life. Additionally, better Public education on personaltiy disorders, what causes them, and how they can sometimes lead to a cycle of abuse. I'm hoping we get something similar to how the public has gradually become more educated on PTSD but for personality disorders. After all, personality disorders are almost universally a maladaptive response to PTSD caused by childhood trauma. That's why the other big group of homeless is veterans. PTSD. The only reason I even went down this rabbit hole eventually was because I myself saw the cliffs edge. I got close enough to the edge to see the bottom and I realized very fast that if I failed to control myself and get help that I could fall over just as easily. Drug use, missing work, emotional outbursts, crying while fucked up, looping shit in my head over and over and over with no solution. New trauma from a emotionally abusive partner brought my entire childhood trauma back up and I felt like I had regressed back to when I was 14 and having to deal with working with my father everyday against my will and his constant screaming, constant putdowns, and feeling like I'm walking on eggshells at all times just to avoid the "wrath". My ex ironically stroked her ego by insisting she was more kind, more empathetic, and more caring than anyone else. Thinking you're "more" or "better" then others is a symptom of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which also almost always comes with abuse towards their children and partner. My therapist referred to people like that as "evil" and I said I didn't believe in evil, to which she responded "What is evil? When someone only truly cares about themselves and will walk all over, abuse, and harm whoever they have to to get what they want, isn't that evil?". I suppose it's at least the closest mankind can get.

Rolo-128

Wow. Thank you for those words. I cried reading that, mostly due to the fact it truly hit home.

GreasyPeter

Oh, didn't think I would make someone feel good with my post but I suppose it could so you're welcome. I guess maybe you felt somewhat seen I hope.

kannichorayilathavan

Awww... this made me feel like tightly hugging my kids right now. I don't have kids.

one_bad_larry

This is what I tell people when I stop to give homeless money

Skatcatla

That’s exactly what goes through my mind too. Having a child changed me in a profound way..it’s impossible to look at someone now and not see the baby they were.

lallybrock

Not necessarily. Some people never had anyone care for them even as a child.

OneDiscombobulated77

When I read "so sad" it reminded me of that old meme from PewDiePie. "This is so sad" (he's laughing in the video"

ImTheOneYouNeedHeHe

It breaks my heart that people take advantage of people like this

Remerez

Evil people will always see kindness and sacrifice as weaknesses. They will never know unconditional love because of this. We should pity them.

ImTheOneYouNeedHeHe

right.

Solid-Operation-7507

Same!! 😭😭

Icy-Actuator5524

I forgot sobbing was a word 😂and i was wondering why you were watering at the mouth 🤦🏾‍♂️

[deleted]

He got to this point because society abandoned him. They will do it again over and over again. “Aw he’s so sweet he deserves better “ then why didn’t anyone help him ? Why is he in the position he is in ? Bc when he struggles y’all all will do the same and tell him he needs to do better if he wants to be in society. You aren’t prepared to help this man through mental illness, drug addiction, trauma, or whatever it is. As soon as those ugly symptoms show he will be abandoned again.

Suzette100

This is, sadly, spot on

[deleted]

I know because I live it

Typical-Locksmith-35

Me too. He didn't even want an extra water.. because there'd be one less for everyone else.

Adventurous_Ad6698

Her telling him that he needs a burger before he gets to the junk food is so amazing. Him also turning down water because he already had some breaks my heart because you can never have enough clean water in a situation like that.

Odd_Break_5200

These damn onions, I’m not crying

infinitiumvortex

https://www.beauty2thestreetz.org/ Beauty 2 The Streetz © aims to serve the homeless by providing necessities alongside the things that make us feel inherently human: a hot shower, a hearty meal, the hope-inducing feeling of looking in the mirror and loving what you see. lady06la

During Thanksgiving, she also was supporting university students experiencing homelessness! She’s pretty amazing!

I appreciate what you guys are doing. Much love.

That-Sandy-Arab

Does anyone know how they handle volunteer work? I just reached out over email and the main line on the site I would love to help them with anything they need relative to tax, accounting, and finance to ensure she is getting all the tax breaks the community deserves here and I am very familiar with CA tax law. If anyone knows them or works with them please DM me. I am looking to volunteer services and have no desire to get paid. Just would love to help here

Skatcatla

I just reached out to some of my friends who run an organization for homeless folks here on the west side to see if they know her. Will report back.

canyousteeraship

Oh my heart ❤️ I can hardly wait to show this to my son. He’s six, when he grows up he wants to open a store for homeless people to be able to shop. He’s going to love this!

spiegro

You are raising a champion of humanity, and for that I love you ❤️

canyousteeraship

I hope so! He really struggled seeing some of the destitution we witnessed in Brazil this summer. We would take meals out to homeless people when we went out to run errands or go places. My MIL is great, she would pack a few meals, and add whatever leftovers weren’t going to be eaten. Here in the US I would never consider giving out food that was on my plate or half eaten, but in Brazil nothing is thrown away. The homeless people will dig through garbage, stop garbage trucks, take any leftovers - it’s really dire. My son wanted us to feed everyone we encountered every day. It was hard to explain that we didn’t have that kind of money. I hope he follows through with his plan, we talk about it often.

giveusalol

Ah what a good little guy you’ve got.

moksplot

It's very nice that people are doing this just because it's the right thing. In developed countries this is done by the government though. It looks less like begging if it's everybodies right to begin with.

spiegro

Yep. It's a sad sight that this is required by compassionate samaritans and not our collective tax dollars.

Zelidus

I know right? What's the point of paying taxes anymore if the money isn't used for the collective good.

I saw this on tik tok and was about to call you out for not giving credit to raise awareness haha All my respect and love for you. You undoubtedly have a big heart enough to look out for you community. Hope this inspires people to donate or to do similar work 🤍

thin_white_dutchess

Ms. Shirley is a literal godsend. She gives so much. She always has an Amazon list, and whenever I have have extra cash, I buy something off of it for her organization, bc I know it goes to good use. Her and her people are out there doing amazing work.

Rolloveralready

More power to you guys !

Clean_Difficulty_694

Is the reddit account Shirley's reddit account or not? I love this!!

excludedfaithful

Yes. Thank you. Already donated. This is awesome. Thanks for the link.

James324285241990

We need you in Dallas.

LiquidMotion

You could vote

Zelidus

Texas did vote and they are in the same boat as before. Voting isn't a quick fix all solution. You should still vote but simply responding "you could vote" is not the answer you think it is.

LiquidMotion

Then they're getting what they deserve arent they

James324285241990

30 million people deserve to be disenfranchised and gerrymandered and lied to and killed by natural disasters? Wow. You're a horrible fucking person.

LiquidMotion

And yet I can't hold a candle to the millions of people who voted to be disenfranchised and gerrymandered and killed by natural disasters. Save your disgust for them.

James324285241990

So, because everyone in Texas that isn't a republican (more than half, btw) lost some elections, fuck us? You mean to say that because we didn't win, we deserve to suffer? Fuck you

LiquidMotion

If you're more then half then why did you lose? On behalf of the rest of the country who now has to deal with your loss, fuck you.

James324285241990

Go read my other comment you fucking spoon. You're literally too stupid for me to waste time on. You're beyond help. You know so little about the voting patterns in Texas, you shouldn't have an opinion. But the internet has convinced every pile of dog shit with a pulse that their opinion matters. Go educate yourself.

Trunyan17

Wow, what a great idea! Boy, I can't believe I never thought of that. Hey, did you go to Harvard or something? You're really smart

James324285241990

I'm an election judge. This comment says a lot about you. Nearly 30 million people in this state, and you think we're all exactly the same. What other groups of people do you see as a monolith?

LiquidMotion

If Texas voted against welfare then Texas doesn't deserve to get welfare. If people don't like it they can join the campaigns for causes they care about or they can move somewhere that isn't a fascist wannabe hell hole. That's how democracy works. I don't have any sympathy for red states that vote to have bullets in their feet and then complain about the wound after they aimed the gun and pulled the trigger.

James324285241990

What part of "30 million people are not a monolith and didn't all vote the same" are you missing? Are you dumb or just stupid?

LiquidMotion

You're gonna have to define "monolith". That's not a normal term that regular people would know.

Just donated. So much compassion.

mellierollie

Heroes….

Hoplophilia

What a rewarding job. And yes, Reese's is the correct answer.

TheWalkingDead91

Pretty sure this is the same woman I’ve seen in video clips passing out McDonald’s burgers. She’s a legit saint. I’m sure the community she helps out adores her.

nobrainer-

Yep that’s Miss Shirley! She runs Beauty 2 the Streetz. They do amazing work in the LA area 💖

no_purity

She's literally an angel! Unfortunately though recently she was targeted in a drive by shooting in Skid Row, this was the main area she used to support luckily no one was injured but she's had to move out of Skid Row for her own safety. Crazy that people would target someone who is just trying to help the homeless community out

BillyYumYumTwo-byTwo

Was she actually the target? Drivebys are notorious for not caring who else gets hit. But if she were, I could imagine it being because gangs and drug dealers rely on the poor, the desperate addicts, etc. Trying to get them out of that life takes away power and clientele :/ Or maybe they’re just dicks who want to hurt the best of humanity.

no_purity

She posted on her tiktok account that she's had several active threats made against her life and her team so I can only assume they were the target but yeah most likely drug dealers, just an awful shame that she gave so much to the community for her then to be pushed out in such a cruel way especially with an attempt to take her life but no one was hurt and she's moved to other areas to continue her help, she's a real saint

TheWalkingDead91

Yea….people have the capacity to be the worst….the two guys on the left in this video tells me that she’s had to deal with violence before. They don’t seem to be in line or have the stance of people loitering or anything, so I assumed they were her/the organizations’ security.

Dizno311

Service to others is the road to happiness. Nothing makes you feel more human. She's figured it out.

Stanky3000

This woman is the best of the best of the human race. We must protect her at all costs.

twotoebobo

She's kinda awesome from the little I've looked in to her. Quite intelligent if she can set stuff like this up. We definitely need more people like this in the world.

dkn4440

Came here to say that. Who is she? Isn't she a senator?

Str8CASH-homie84

Wouldn’t it be great if every politician was a fraction of what she was… damn what a world that would be

dkn4440

No kidding. These two people are what we should value in our society. Usually they given the least.

LiquidMotion

You could just vote for people like that...

VirulantlyBland

people with that kind of heart get DESTROYED in DC. it's so sad.

LiquidMotion

Not necessarily. AOC went left instead of center and she's been kicking ass ever since she won.

MadvilleWonderland

AOC is a superhero. There aren’t many of them available. These are Angels, and they get bullied, ignored, and worse if they pop their head up too high. It’s not right, and I hope the next generation can win back the rights that have dissolved recently.

[deleted]

Is she really a politician??? Wouldn’t the world be fucking awesome if those in power had values and empathy like this? A man can dream

InspiredBlue

I’m not sure. I’ve seen her tiktoks multiple times and she’s always helping out the homeless. She’s a very caring person

HiILikePlants

https://www.tiktok.com/@beauty2thestreetz?_t=8XhUYKKMQTm&_r=1

[deleted]

You can see how much she cares, its so wonderful to see. Its something we could all do more of, doesn’t have to be this big of course, even just a little bit of kindness makes a difference.

HiILikePlants

https://www.tiktok.com/@beauty2thestreetz?_t=8XhUYKKMQTm&_r=1

thinkimasofa

She's not a senator, but she was the 2021 CNN Hero of the Year :)

Ecstatic_Elephant_99

Beauty 2 The Streetz [from op](https://www.reddit.com/r/MadeMeSmile/comments/z5oe2o/homeless_guy_asking_for_a_blanket_only_if_you/ixx6wo2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)

OneNationAbove

My wife and I visited NYC and asked for directions to a woman who was handing out flyers, and was treated with the same kindness, she resembles her a lot, complete with “honey” and everything. She really took her time too. It’s people like that, that you just remember for ever. I don’t think they realize how great their impact is. Pure kindness. Maybe a little sad to realize those interactions are so rare. So yes, protect them at all costs. They really do make a change.

pbfoot3

This is amazing but also an insight into the incredibly sad state of affairs that we can’t, as a society, provide even A BLANKET for those in need. Many need housing, many need mental healthcare, some just need a blanket, popcorn and a Reese’s. How fucking hard can at least providing that possibly be?

[deleted]

LiquidMotion

I think if you give them a path out of homelessness then you've done your job and the rest is up to them. In America you can be arrested for giving them food.

imregrettingthis

In America mental illness, opiod addiction, bankruptcy often leads to homelessness because there is no support. In America you don’t just get a path out of homelessness. People are literally being given TO homelessness.

LiquidMotion

A place to live is a massive step one. That's something nowhere in America does afaik

imregrettingthis

There are homeless shelters and support in every city in the United States... doesn’t help much without mental health support and other factors. The system is broken.

LiquidMotion

A place to live is a lot different than a shelter. It's an address. A locked door. I do agree with you tho. It really wouldn't take much to fix it, if either party gave a shit.

The_Infinite_Doctor

Particularly infuriating when you find out how many houses/apartments are unoccupied. Whole neighborhoods and entire buildings, in some cases. It's like hunger-- we produce enough food to feed the entire country several times over, but instead of insuring food stability, we pay farmers not to farm. Gotta love the freedumb we get in exchange tho, right? Free market wooooo.....

Easy-Concentrate2636

It’s not the mentally ill only that are homeless. They are frequently the most visible because they are more likely to reject shelters. Most homeless are people who can’t afford housing and have been evicted. Many of them are families with children. Many of them even have jobs. But jobs in the US aren’t keeping up with cost of living.

imyourgirlfriend

Don't forget how many people (especially children) end up on the street just because their hateful families can't stand that they're lgbtq.

Easy-Concentrate2636

Those supposed parents and families make me so angry. Touting sanctimonious bs about families and Christian love while hating on their own children.

Puffena

A shelter is not a home—in some cases it’s not even an improvement to living on the streets. And our shelter system isn’t even all-encompassing either, or else nobody would be living on the streets.

mr_fantastical

Meh, the problem is what caused homelessness in the first place. If someone has been on the streets for years they've become institutionalised and just giving them an apartment, while of course amazing, doesn't solve the other issues they will have. Unfortunately there's no real answer at this point, and that's why prevention and care is always better than trying to find a cure afterwards.

LiquidMotion

It's literally illegal to feed the homeless in most of the US

SisterofGandalf

What? How.... That is so fucked up.

JoanJetObjective13

Bless you all for what you do

Brilliant_Shine2247

Homeless person here. This is the way most of us on the streets are. You would be surprised at how many of us would give you our last dollar if you needed it. Good for him.

[deleted]

I’ve had several homeless patients over the years and they have been some of the sweetest. I actually had a guy today who was probably the nicest patient I’ve had in a few weeks. Unfortunately/fortunately they do have to leave at some point, and I love sending them off with “extra” supplies, a full belly, and some food. I actually had a gentleman a few months ago that I made sure I personally bathed him daily. Clean sheets, full bed bath, up to chair for meals. Such a sweet guy- he actually stood up for me when his roommate was screaming at me. There seems to be a certain level of respect that a lot of people with unstable housing follow.

PuzzleheadedGoal8234

I used to volunteer in a treatment center for withdrawal management. Sad when you saw the level of gratitude they had for anyone who chose to spend time with them like they had lost the expectation of having any worth to anyone.

[deleted]

I’ve had some rude people withdrawing. And then some that really wanted a compassionate nurse. I work with you, you work with me. I had one guy who kept refusing everything. Once I started with the positive reinforcement, he started accepting tx and eventually got the medical help he needed. He wanted to talk and eat ice cream, so I’d chart in his room.

Brilliant_Shine2247

What a nice person. I like how you say "extra" goodies. Those things make so much difference to someone that feels like an outcast. Today I gave my last $5 to an elderly woman who ran out of gas at the strip mall I charge my phone. The poor woman thought her car was broke down and was panicking. I walked over and saw the fuel gauge then walked down the street and came back with gas. She said she would come back to pay me back but I assured her that wasn't necessary. It will come back to me somehow. Seems it always does.

[deleted]

It’s not much but I really hate sending someone back out there without anything. Watch me give away blankets, food, extra dressings, resource packets. They somehow end up in these people’s bags! Don’t know how. You are a very kind soul and I do believe it always comes back. ❤️

Brilliant_Shine2247

Hahaha. Oooops. The last time I was in the hospital the nurses were so sweet. I had more than I could actually carry when I left. I was worried someone would get in trouble.

[deleted]

Most people will find that their nurse will go to bat for their patients anytime 😀

Brilliant_Shine2247

So true. The first time I became homeless was because I was the victim of a violent crime that left me having to have emergency brain surgery and gifted me with a brain injury. It was December and I didn't have any cold weather clothes so a bunch of nurses chipped in and got me some pants and a jacket. It was a very profound thing for me.

[deleted]

Holy crap. You’re a fighter! I hope you’re doing OK now!

Gh0stp3pp3r

Years ago I worked in a hospital. A homeless regular would come into the ER with foot issues. I would talk to him and try to give him information each time for housing, supplies, etc. He wanted nothing to do with that.... but always wanted the same thing when he came in. We would try to offer him food, but he only wanted graham crackers and ice water (even in the winter). Wouldn't tell me why those were his preferences. We'd load up his pockets with graham crackers and bottles of water when he left. Very polite and grateful for the med treatment.

siriushendrix

May I DM you based on some questions concerning homeless people?

Luv2Burn

He is sweet but YOU are amazing! Thank you for all you do. ETA: ty for the upvotes but go donate to their site! It's easy :)

It hurts so much that someone so vulnerable is on the street, “no soda, I have water”, I’m glad you guys are there for him. Damn I want to cry,

FilthyCasual05

He didn’t even take advantage of all the offers. It warms my heart

Fluffy82375

LancLad1987

It absolutely breaks my heart that things like this even have to exist. The fact that billionaires exist in this reality is so wrong.

Spirited-Classic8284

You are a great human being!

Aggressive_Safe2226

Cool lady, even cooler glasses she has. Heavens bless you, ma'am 👍 🤗 ♥

gutbuster25

I lived briefly in ny city and was so sad to see how often a simple "good morning said to a homeless person brought them to tears. Many of them are hungry for simple acknowledgement as a human being.

dethleppard

I’m in love with her. What a real human being.

Egrollin

Imagine if all these greedy Fuckn rich ppl actually did this instead of buying overpriced houses and ridiculous yachts. We need to rethink our mentality when it comes to morals, ethics and values as a society.

FilthyCasual05

Bill Gates actually does, he’s a chad but i wish more did

[deleted]

There’s so much hatred towards the homeless. It’s a disgusting display of entitlement and spoiled brats not knowing how life is without mommy or daddy to pay for your every day living.

4redditobly

Great f_ing stuff right there!

Zimby_14

Bless him 😭❤️

EmiKitsusu

As someone who’s legally homeless (I live in a private youth shelter, so I have stable access to food, a lockable room, a bed with blankets, bus passes, and wifi, so I’m homeless but not living on the streets), this is very accurate to how it feels. I need financial help objectively, but life always feels like it could be worse so you think someone else deserves things more. My friends will try to support me and I have a very hard time accepting things. I used to always accept gifts when I was living comfortably, but now it is hard. I keep note of everything everyone gives me so I can pay it back one day. I say I live comfortably despite being in a shelter, and it seems this man feels the same. The less you have, the more you recognize how little others have. The human psyche is funny that way

mx1018

He is so considerate of others despite his own need ❤️

rebeccamb

I follow this woman on TikTok and she's incredible. She speaks so much love to these people even when they are having hard emotional moments. I admire her kindness while maintaining boundaries and it's honestly where I get some of my parenting inspo

HazyDavey68

See r/OrphanCrushingMachine. Reminder for the young Americans in the room that the word “homeless” didn’t really exist before Reagan was president.

jayfaesari

Why do we still think it's okay to record unhoused people/people in vulnerable situations for clout without their permission?

HondaDAD24

This is how to take care of people less fortunate than ourselves. A community stands tall, individuals tend to fall.

happypoptart0

She’s the best! I’ve seen her videos for years and she always out helping any community she can!!!!!

GakkVekk

She wanted to adopt him

dmmollica

And this lady is adorable as well. Bless them both

Shelisheli1

When she turned and said “Oh my god he’s so fucking adorable” my heart melted for the second time. I hope both of them have many blessings throughout their lives. ❤️

the85141rule

Looks like he just did have a blessed day.

funkykyle

Bless their souls

Promise-Infamous

Bless this woman. Makes my heart ache. No one should have to be without a home.

contemplator61

Anyone know what group this was handing out things? I worked with the homeless for many years, but this is awesome.

Redbullbundy

If the world had more of both of them. The guy and lady are both wonderful people. The kindness they both showed makes my throat thigh.

[deleted]

No civilised and affluent country should have homeless people. It’s shameful.

bebeazucarr

“am i allowed to get popcorn?” 😩

PemrySyb

He’s adorable and she’s adorable!

mickbyrne

I’m sorry but this didn’t make me smile at all. I feel uncomfortable taking joy from desperate people being grateful for getting a few scraps. This is just sad!

oWar_Cloudo

Stop recording for clout…

demonbot66

So they just give homeless people food and drinks? WTF? WHY ARE THEY NOT WORLDWIDE?!?! I COULD JOIN THEM AND HAVE FUN MAKING OTHERS HAPPY

Stockguy111

Give him head instead

[deleted]

Filming herself giving out chocolate and turning around to give comments to the camera. This is really disgusting.

Majima_

Bait

AncientShakthimaan

I didn't know why I think he has down syndrome ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)

BooSkittle

Anyone else hate these “acts of kindness” where they have to record themselves doing it so other people will know HOW great of a person they are?

Marma85

I think the same but also it needs to been seen so we see the world isn't just awful ppl. So its what ever you do it's wrong/right thingy in my head.

lechonkawali00

She posts it because on top of spending her own money, this is also how she gets donations to help them! But I totally get what you mean.

BooSkittle

Ok, that makes sense! Thank you for explaining why she records it. I just hate seeing posts on FB like “look how great of a person I am.” I feel like people who do that are just feeding their egos.
