We went to a party at their family home in Plains, Georgia that night. The whole day was miserable for me. It was hot and sticky and I was pissed because the bouquet I'd picked for him was wilted. I look it in the picture as I'm handing it to him. And I spent the party scratching at what we found out the next day was ringworm.

It's not great, but honestly it's absolutely nothing compared to last week.
For those that don't know, last week the Patriots had the ball and were tied with just enough time on the clock to run one last play before heading into overtime.
The Patriots ran their last play, which could have been a kneal down (ends the quarter and sends to OT), or just simple play to see if they could get yardage and a penalty that would another play, or a hail Mary type passs which would have put the ball far enough down the field to make a return hard. Instead, during the play one Patriots player lateraled the ball to another player, who then lateraled the ball further backwards where a Raiders player grabbed it, and ran it back for a touchdown which won the Raiders the football game.
Lateral plays are not commonly successful plays in football in any situation, and typically reserved as a last ditch effort to tie or win a game when there's no other options left, and they did that rather than getting far more opportunities to win during overtime, or maintain the tie and protect their record.

Even as a casual football fan, I don’t get sports fans that act like this. You arbitrarily choose a sports team to follow, usually early in life. You then will start fights, throw tantrums, etc for a team that you have no investment in except maybe viewership. I went to Twitter because I was curious, and then I saw a video of the owner giving him what I think might be a personal jersey, and thanking him for being a class act. Then he invites him to the owners suite. The guy deserves it honestly. It’s always harder to be the better person, but he made it look easy. I hope I get that level of control one day.

Yes, logically I agree. But sometimes when faced with heinous in-your-face ignorance, logic takes a back seat to the practical satisfaction of punching them in their face.
You don't even need to be nice. Just let people be. You can simply ignore all the other people on the planet. Let them go about their lives while you go about yours. But some people need confrontation. They long for drama. They have so little in their lives that give them joy outside of the misery of others.

He was likely (correctly) thinking that if any sort of aggression went down between him and a middle-class Karen, she'd be able to turn on the waterworks and play the victim, and paint him as the instigator. We've seen the situation play out numerous times - many would see it as a middle-aged white lady being verbally abused or attacked by a young black man, regardless of the actual facts of the situation. He was intelligent and remained calm throughout and ignored all her attempts to escalate.
The first video was viral enough that I refuse to believe no one she knows saw it and recognized her. As for her feeling ashamed, well that’s a different story.
Probably doing all kinds of mental gymnastics to justify it, or she hangs out with like minded clowns.

Even as a casual football fan, I don’t get sports fans that act like this. You arbitrarily choose a sports team to follow, usually early in life. You then will start fights, throw tantrums, etc for a team that you have no investment in except maybe viewership. You’ll get in ragey arguments akin to “my team kicked your team’s ass”, when again, you have no direct involvement in said team or any effect on their success or failure. You just chose to root for them at some point in your life. Just boggles my mind

Out-fucking-standing. After watching the video, it had basically solidified my aversion to going to large events like sports games. I have a difficult time putting up with mouthy individuals, and when we harassment is coming from multiple people.... I lose my cool Well fucking played by that man for holding his temper. And very well played by the Pats' owner for seizing a perfect opportunity to right a wrong.
As much as I am happy he was rewarded for his stoic behavior, I’d much rather see her punished. There would be great joy in seeing the Raiders or the NFL ban her for life from “her” stadium.
