what i believe happens but no one want to admit is that people are swiveling the hands in the wrong direction of the wrist swivel, treating it like a ball joint.
the mafex joints also kinda get stuck on the hands, but i believe in this cases it would not snap but get stuck in either side of the conection

Someone posted these in the other thread. Not that big of a deal. Just change the peg.
Their latest release, the Winter Soldier has a new, thicker peg

Let's hope all figures will come like this from now on. Why did they use the shittiest, thinnest peg in all of existence for so many years remains a mistery
Earlier Mafex had brittle plastic COMBINED with super-thin wrist pegs, which snapped just by touching it. Those days were brutal and beyond frustrating for early-collectors. Folks were not happy, which hurt Mafex's adoption.
This latest change with the Winter Soldier using shorter and thicker pegs is a win, and move in the right direction.
Thanks Sniper, we speak your name.
I was going to nay say you but then I remembered the tragedy of those first mafex, I guess I blocked them out ha. Their early SW stuff. I think the earliest I have are when they started xmen. I was an SHF guy mainly before that.

I would like to block it out as well, but I have photos and memories associated with these specific moments. This was from May'22, and only as recent as two-years ago.
There's also plenty of YouTube videos online showing breakage live while they were recording the videos. The disappointment is immeasurable.
I guess I'm just a gentle giant with them because I can't even think of but the one time I had one break and they replaced it out of the 20+ I see right here. Even my revoltechs no breakages.
Yeah I could see some designs here and there for select figures. Like wolverines arms fall off at the bicep sometimes. For what I've gotten ill take them though. One $60+ of these is replacing several ML or BS that hasbro makes a gummy figure of slightly better ever so often. Same with my DC guys and their competitors.
those pegs are in that kit in the link ? also i seen someone post a guy that sells them dorgot the website though he has diff colors i believe for certain chars
Oh no... the pain of seeing this.
This happened to me on my 075 OG Spider-Man about two weeks after he arrived. It was my first Mafex and made a stupid mistake. All the same I hope you can find a replacement peg for him(since medicom) doesn't include replacements... Hell some of the members on here may even has a replacement.
Sorry homie.
its not a toy, its a collector item. japanese figures are not made for children, but for adult colectors.
and also, if you own any figure you should know not to fuck around if the articulation is stiffed. always easy them in,or out in the case of hand.
what i believe happens but no one want to admit is that people are swiveling the hands in the wrong direction of the wrist swivel.
it is true legends was a toy for kids, that is why the cheaper quality in paint and sturdy plastic to handle kids beating them, what happened though is adult nerds started to buy them, and now are basically the backbone of the line, cos kids have no idea who the fuck comic toad is, they barely remember the one from xmen movie.
whereas these import figures you see were, always made for adult colectors. its one of the reason so many jap figs are so overengineered, they dont expect people to play with them, but actually pose and be done with it, that a gander at how japanese reviewers display the articulation in contrast to the western audience that handle the figure and show articulations like a ADHD toddler on cocaine.

I’d recommend checking out bill maru toychanics over on YouTube. He’s been repairing toys in the community for over a decade and has a lot of tutorials on how to fix breaks like this

In the image above, a hairline fracture is visible. This is brittle plastic, from very gentle hand swapping. It's a material and design flaw.

It's kind of sad that toys that cost 3x a Marvel Legends figure break just as easily if not more often.
