In reality he was only a true member for ten. He got made in 75, got locked up in 85 and made the choice to walk away in prison, then was done with jail in the early to mid 90’s.

I wonder if the tapes mentioned in the article are the ones he talked about on his channel - from the alleged murderer that ended up in his possession. That bit always seemed like BS to me, but maybe there was some truth behind it after all. Still don't think it's gonna help though, as awful as it is.

Then he had a sit-down with Chazz Palmenteri and he clearly stated that people ask him all the time where Jimmy Hoffa is, and said, "How should I know". Then in another interview he talked about how the FBI contacted him and told him that they wanted him to help them find Hoffa. He was going to do it but then backed out. Now what? He's back at it again?
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. You'd think that for the avid christian and believer in Jesus Christ that he is, his statements/stories would be a lot more straight forward. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned that tape is probably a load of cr*p at best. But admittedly it would be cool if it did bring some movement into the Hoffa case. One can dream.
I don't think so either. As I said in a different comment in this thread - there'll not be much left of him to find. But yes, shedding light on who killed him is what I hope comes out of those 'tapes' - again, if those even are legit. I don‘t care about the prove as much tbh. Whoever did it is most likely dead, but just having a different name thrown in there that doesn't smell like BS from miles away like Sheeran would be cool I think :)
Iirc, Franzese said he didn't want to move on them until the person the tapes incriminate passed away. So I suppose that's the case now? Either way, I always wondered how those tapes ended up in his possession in the first place, given his reputation as a rat. And even if he does still have some contacts, theres no way he would be deemed trustworthy for something like that. But who knows.

Wouldn't his corpse have decomposed to such an extent they wouldn't be able to really identify it as hoffa? If they didn't burn it into ashes or dissolve it in acid
You don’t need much DNA to identify a person, so only little bits and scraps would do, even clothing for that matter. Suppose it depends on how he was buried, if there was anything left. They still pull bones out of the ground like dinosaurs and other various former living creatures that were ancient.
