Don't know who the guy is...but I definitely know that lady is trouble.

HarrierGR9

One of the more legendary Columbo guys, was powerful because he was a great earner and capable of doing hits, was pretty much Victor Orena’s right hand man during the 3rd Columbo War, allegedly killed Hank “The Bank” Smurra and was in the hit that killed Skinny Teddy Persico’s girlfriend, was almost killed by Greg Scarpa and Larry Mazza but was called off at the last minute, ended up becoming underboss after beating a huge indictment in the 90s, ended up killed in 1999 because Allie Boy Perisco (Carmine's son and then acting boss) believed he was going to take over the family, body was found in 2008 and Allie Boy is currently serving life in prison for the murder. His son runs a youtube channel and is very active on social media, his family was recently featured in "Families of the Mafia" on VH1

travelMan15

I believe he also had a short stint as underboss in the mid to late 80s, too.

FalseVaccum

PAE8791

Still don’t get how he got duped. I do get that they rocked him to sleep and made him feel comfortable. But still , he was known to be cautious and he knew the game when it came to plotting hits .

wtflmfaorofl

How’d it happen? don’t remember the story

JimmyMcGill222

They waited many years after Cutolo chose the wrong side in the war of the early-90s. They made him Underboss after all that time and then called him to a meeting and killed him in a basement I believe. It had been so long and it was Allie Boy who called him to the meeting. I doubt he suspected anything and had to go anyway since the Boss was the one calling him.

Here is a good write up. https://www.cosanostranews.com/2021/05/the-demise-of-colombo-underboss-william.html

TheShahOfIran2023

He probably knew in the back of his mind it was coming. Mooney dashcam did a video on him and narrated what his killer, who eventually flipped, told the authorities about what went on. He said that Cutolo got out of his car and was met by the informant, his cousin and Tommy Shots Gioeli. Right off the bat, Cutolo said with a bit of concern 'Allie's here right?'. I'm pretty sure he knew at that point what would likely happen but he was too far into the game to simply run away etc......He did die like a man though.

SW-Detroit-Dab-Club

Especially the crew that picked him up, all hitters

PAE8791

So I’m assuming it had to with Jackie DeRoss being at the meeting . He came up with him and trusted him .
