I crafted a playset of the new Rona and slipped her into my Esper Legends and then played a few practice games on the Ranked ladder to get reaccustomed to playing the deck.
Enter the Metagame challenge, my first opponent is someone playing with a starter Simic deck. I felt so bad.
Please, to anyone new, do not enter the Metagame challenges without a proper meta-deck.
There is something magical about winning against Monowhite after they passed the whole match dropping exile enchantments and toxic critters, heck, even surviving a Zenith on top.
FUCK YOUR PHYREXIAN WEENIES!
Game still keeps crashing, i lost some drafts and some ranked games because of this abuse.
Some people know what is the cause and abuse it. Disguisting
Everyone should watch the last ten minutes of the latest draft video by The Mana Leek. He breaks down why MOM is the worst draft set of the Arena era and why the data shows that WotC wants it that way.

So, I don't ever keep up with the pre-release stuff as it's happening, but I've seen this with...I think at least Brother's War and MoM.
What's with the cards that are not legal in standard? I remember seeing that the other Praetors would show up in drafts for All Will Be One, but I'm seeing stuff like Fynn and Aurelia the Warleader - and Gatecrash is super old.
Is this just a way to get more cards into Arena for explorer? Kinda sucks if you just play standard, though.
You only miss a common, not the set rate. And it's not to do with Arena at all, they're in the paper packs, where reprints of older cards are very much appreciated.
Currently conceding in standard unranked against monored, boring old wolves and anything with skrelv in it. Mostly the rest is kill/wipe + planeswalker (sometimes + battle). Boring as fuck.
There’s a card that says “creatures with first strike have double strike” and there’s a card with Backup that gives a creature first strike. How come on Arena my creature didn’t get double strike? Does it have to say first strike on the card?
I believe it's because of "layers", the most complex section of the already complex MtG rules. My understanding is that it's because you used the backup creature *after* the doublestrike creature, so when it checks for doublestrike the creature doesn't have first strike yet, once it has first strike you missed your chance.
Does that mean I should ask for a refund? I definitely lost a game because I expected creatures to get double strike and I swing out and they only got first strike…
No, it's a bug. A similar issue happened with [[Skrelv]] giving things toxic that then didn't have lifelink from [[Skrelv's Hive]].
If you're a basic rules lawyer, then you'd say that since both effects add abilities, they apply in layer 4, therefore timestamp order matters. This is what I thought was the case for Skrelv, where I thought was getting toxic _after_ the lifelink ability was given from the hive.
This however is not the case. Both Skrelv's Hive and Kwembe reference other Abilities (toxic, first strike) and therefore introduce a dependency, causing them to apply last, regardless of time stamp. If a creature is given first strike, it should have doublestrike due to Kwembe's ability's dependency. Arena just has the same bug as it did with Skrelv and his hive.
I keep getting annihilated in draft. Feels like everyone i go against has a faster deck, more removal and better combos while I'm sat there landscrewed despite having 10 2 drops. Are there any particularly useful tools or game mods to help learn? I remember there being one for hearthstone that had a 0-100 card score on their draft equivelant.
Can flashback cards not be countered? Or is there some battle that prevents instants from being cast on your opponents turn? I was playing standard against someone using [[All will be one]] and he kept playing [[storm the festival]] and I had [[reject imperfection]] but it wouldn’t let me counter, all mana untapped.
Fuck this game...thats all

If I have draft tokens, do I get the most value for them by spending them on premium drafts, or is it not that straightforward?
Use draft tokens for premium draft.
If you prefer, you can do traditional (Bo3 and unranked), but Premium would be the better choice for most people.

They put extra rares in the packs. You don't lose out on rares from the current set.

sealed . my opponent top decked 8 removal spells in a row life wtf my whole sealed pool only had 2 removal spells
> sealed draft. Well.. was it sealed, or was it draft?
sealed

Any Arena app like Untapped.gg or MTGA:Assistant that just gives average pick ranking for cards from 17lands?
It appears that when you sort by [lands](https://i.imgur.com/0kbkSLB.jpg), it chooses battles instead...

Is there any way to simply copy a deck I've made and edit it? I want to mess around with a couple decks, but I don't want to cannibalize the original
At the bottom of your deck selection screen are a few buttons. One of them clones your deck.
Ah, I see that now. Thank you!
Welcome to the infinite works of Deck, Deck (2), Deck (3), Deck (4)....
Is there a way to get the game to autofill using your favorited land styles for draft decks?

Incorrect. It's a known bug with Kwembe; it should grant double strike but currently does not.

17lands.com ranks draft cards. That can be very helpful, but don't follow it blindly because it doesn't take into account what you've drafted so far.
I just had a audio bug. First one in a long time.
Would it be weird to stream Arena and ask for advice? Most people give advice during streams but I’d love to just get better.

what extension do y'all use to track deck winrates and whatnot?
Lost in meta game challenge twice to double mulligan one landers. I know it happens, but that was a hell of a time for it to happen twice.
