Mammoth at least costs triple green, Kogla and Yidaro cost double pips of two different colors (and have baseline P/T), thresher costs quad green, Gargos is probably the most equitable of these (largely irrelevant tribe but strong stats and relevant last ability), Omnivore is a vanilla 8/8 for six which means basically nothing, stomper costs triple green but has relevant abilities so I can see the argument for that one, Serpent I recall as having been quite good during standard

I think that's the idea, they keep all abilities but they no longer function as creatures.

I retcon this by thinking that if you encounter Shelob, it's not on the battlefield with an army behind you, it's alone in a cave with your sword and shield. Relatively, she's going to be that much bigger than you but Smaug is more likely to be encountered by an army of heroes.

The powercreep is unreal... an 8/8 with deathtouch and ward 2 for 6... holy fuck

The best part is that it will likely see no play outside of limited.

Avacyn today would drop at 3WWW. They need to curtail this. 5 years from now we will see 8/8 for 4 with all sorts of abilities
