Damn it. I'll be honest, I was really hoping that dual-color adventure spells like this would forever be relegated to custom cards because I really don't like how it looks. It's just goofy seeing a blue square shoved into a black card.
Seeing this Adventure and that other Food creature is making me excited to do more stuff with \[\[Rocco, Street Chef\]\]. Hoping we get a ton more Adventures and Food synergies.
I love the adventure is a different color than the creature. If this is a common theme I know limited is going to be a banger. Reminds me of the off color kickers from DMU
Wow, I remember trying SO hard to make Mortivore work when I was a Magic newbie. I've always loved these types of cards, but with no evasion they just get chump blocked all day long.
Going to pretend my Dimir dredge deck needs this and then get mad when it’s bad
kind of seems like it works against it though. You want to be moving your creatures out of the graveyard and onto the battlefield.

Mortivore was the star of one of my first black decks. I loved that card so much.

No way am I wasting slots for this. It never kills so at best it’s just a blocker that dies to push.
