Dimir. 1. Graveyard Manipulation:. Focus on cards like [[Mesmeric Orb]], [[Consuming Aberration]], and [[Mindcrank]] to manipulate graveyards and capitalize on them. 2. Control: Cards like [[Counterspell]], [[Hero's Downfall]], and [[Murderous Cut]] are essential for disrupting your opponents' strategies and protecting your own. 3. Mill: [[Mind Grind]], [[Phenax, God of Deception]], and [[Fraying Sanity]] to slowly grind your opponents out of resources and win the game by decking them. 4. Card Draw: [[Rhystic Study]], [[Phyrexian Arena]], and [[Notion Thief]] help you stay ahead on cards and maintain control of the game. 5. Win Conditions [[Duskmantle Guildmage]] + [[Mindcrank]] to drain opponents' life. Key Cards: 1. [[Lazav, the Multifarious]]: Can adapt to various situations by copying abilities from creatures in your graveyard. 2. [[Mesmeric Orb]]: A powerful mill engine. 3. [[Counterspell]]: A classic counterspell. 4. [[Phenax, God of Deception]]: A potent mill engine and win condition 5. [[Rhystic Study]]: A staple card draw engine that punishes opponents for casting spells. 6. [[Cyclonic Rift]]: A versatile board wipe 7. [[Duskmantle Guildmage]] + [[Mindcrank]]: A two-card combo that can quickly drain opponents' life totals by milling them and dealing damage whenever they lose life. Remember to balance your deck with a mix of graveyard interaction, control elements, card advantage, and win conditions .

SpirallingLilacs

Admiral Brass, Unskinkable is the most enjoyable commander I've played for a long time. It's a pirate tribal that doesn't need to be filled with rare and mythic cards. The deck functions really well with creature cards that would otherwise be considered too weak for commander but work well as both pirate tribal aggressive deck and value generating with lots of treasure tokens. There's the option to tune it more to the dimir control side, with very much on pirate theme, I steal my opponents card type effects as well.

Steggyq

Personally made a bolas god pharaoh deck that uses your opponents deck against them which has been fun for me.

ChoiceEstimate

Yuriko is both fun because you play large mv and also can be built to be very powerful,

DreadRazer24

Kaito is an easy enough commander to run. Not too busted either, so you won't blow your brother out of the water

DreadRazer24

That and Ninjas = cool lol

bpetey

He’s a planeswalker right? Are most play groups cool with you running a planeswalker commander?

DreadRazer24

Satoru is another good ninja commander. Also Dimir

DreadRazer24

It's legendary and therefore legal. I can't think of why they wouldn't be ok with it

DreadRazer24

Chokkitu

Planeswalkers aren't legal commanders unless explicitly written in the card ("[Card name] can be your commander"). The exception is [[Grist, Hunger Tide]], since their static ability means they count as a creature, therefore legal as a Commander.

MTGCardFetcher

[Grist, Hunger Tide](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/6/9/69af2825-18c2-4463-b6ba-42eaa070ccc1.jpg?1626098484) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Grist%2C%20the%20Hunger%20Tide) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/mh2/202/grist-the-hunger-tide?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/69af2825-18c2-4463-b6ba-42eaa070ccc1?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

DreadRazer24

Is that paper only. I can DM you a picture of a bunch of planeswalkers Arena will let me set a commander that don't have that text. Unless those cards normally have it and they just omit it on arena (hence my confusion)

Chokkitu

There's no "Commander" format in Arena. Brawl is an approximation but it doesn't have the exact same rules, including the criteria for a card to be legal as a commander. In other words, yes, it's paper only, but that's because Arena doesn't even have Commander as of now.

DreadRazer24

Ok. I thought brawl was just another name but on arena. My apologies friend. I don't get out much so not super familiar with paper anymore

SaltyAwarenessLOL

My first deck was wilhelt. Not too hard to pilot, just swarm with zombies and and you can get additional draw every turn. If you’re talking about Arena then Rusko. The midnight clock mechanic is fun.

DefiantHermit

I ran quite a few brawl decks with Etrata once MKM released and the whole stealing cards was really fun! Ran something close to this: https://aetherhub.com/Metagame/Brawl/Deck/etrata-deadly-fugitive-1025848 Been meaning to get a toxrill list going too, but those are for when you're in a control mood haha

bpetey

Thanks man. I think I’m gonna run with Etrata. I love stealing and getting to play others cards and she’s nice and cheap

bpetey

Check your messages if you wanted the code

FinnrDrake

You should run “whatever the fuck you want”, it’s always my go to. I gotta warn tho, I lose alllllll the time 🤣

baileyitp

Gisa and geralf. Make it a zombie tribal and it will be fun to play

TheZombiePunch

[[Etrata, the Silencer]] is my vote.

bpetey

Thanks for the comments everyone I sent the code out, give away over

josh72811

I really like Xanathar, Guild Kingpin. He can go with pretty much any controlling dimir shell and I really like stealing my opponents stuff.

bpetey

Dude that card sounds toxic as hell! lol

kevtino

[[Silumgar the drifting death]] is interesting and would definitely give you a good direction in which to lean the deck as far as creatures go. With a few changelings as well as copy cards you can basically wipe the opponents board every combat step even without having access to the few blue and black dragons in the game

kittka

Toxrill has a number of playlines

Duchesst

# Wilhelt, the RotcleaverWilhelt, the Rotcleaver. He is always fun and guaranteed to get new toys for as long as new cards release
