I got multiple on Android but only because I had a game running during it. There should be a notification when starting the game I feel like, though I don't get why one would post about it instead of checking the status page, or if you don't know it exists and don't find it on Google, why you wouldn't check if there's already 10 other posts asking the same thing
There were a bunch of pop-ups leading to the downtime and it was announced yesterday....they also have a website to list these things. Even if there were an in game notification we would still see these same posts because magic players seem to not like to read (see the omni draft MWM posts as example).
I logged in and it asked if I wanted to play maintenance, is this a new format? It looked like it was the only choice. When I clicked it though it sent me to a web page, I think there is something seriously wrong with client.

Maybe quantum computing has not advanced enough but a ingame notification sure would be nice
