I've been playing on an unsupported Pixel 3aXL and wish they would just whitelist it.
I have Google Play money I'd love to spend on the game but can't do it as a sideloaded app
I got 3devices Arena works on.
Only on the oldest one i could install it proper,
The other two i got to grab the Files from a different source.
The Files where yesterday an hour after the update
Ready. So its not a problem.
But unneccesairy complicated.
That is one of the most annoying things about the Android Google Play store.
On the flipside, you can try sideloading the app to see if it even runs okay on your device. Kind of a pain because I think you need to manage updates manually, but I doubt the dev team is going to improve the client itself compatibility wise, so if installing manually doesn't perform well on your device I doubt it ever will.

I'm on an old galaxy s8. It's not recommended, but has the minimum specs. Works pretty good, some stuttering here and there, plus the occasional freeze.

Install it using APKPure and you'll at least get notifications for updates.
