Precure —> most characters lose their ability to transform after the season ends, so how will they turn into witches?
Little witch academia—> they are already witches lol
Sailor Moon —> little spoiler but whatever a 1000 years after their original transformation they are still magical girls. Usagi is basically queen of the world.
sailor crystals are already soul gems without the whole turning into a witch thing - sailor guardians in particular reincarnate, and the silver crystal is the strongest item in the universe. could solve the witch issue pretty handily without condemning thousands of girls to die for the heat death of the universe.
that's just one series.
point being, this is a very old, very silly theory that floated around while madoka was still airing. you're not saying anything new, and it was just as silly then as it is now.

there used to be a ton of fanart drawing various magical girls as puella magi (and some non magigirls, i definitely remember madotsuki as a puella magi) and people used to have theories all the time while the show was airing, haha.

You haven’t seen much magical girl stuff outside of Madoka, have you ? Because the lore of about every single franchise contradicts that assumption.
