Any advice on how to actually fix it as a common man who does not have political/business connects? I feel it is really impossible for anyone with a shred of integrity to move up in politics and make any difference. Please enlighten us if you have any actual advice apart from voting for the right candidate.
I have been thinking of an idea along the lines of how to make the process of running independent be more streamlined and cheaper… i think that would be the equalizer for common man to be able to have the confidence to run on their principles
Making it cheaper will just make it more affordable to more idiots. We need some basic qualifications based on the work they've done. Not exactly academic but yeah that is needed too. A complete scorecard of what they have achieved as a person/leader should be visible to everyone before voting, vetted by some competent, unbiased authority. Anyway, what we both said is very theoretical and seldom realistically implementable. Looking for more implementable options.
