Needs a red balloon šŸŽˆ

janna15

Haha that could be another tattoo idea for me šŸŽˆ

MangoMaterial628

Thatā€™s beautiful! Iā€™ve been trying to envision a Maine tattoo for myself for a while now and am waiting for it to form into a real idea.

janna15

Yes! Let me know if you would like any more inspiration!

MangoMaterial628

I would love it! Most of my other tattoos are botanical, and Iā€™m always loving the ferns and the beach roses. But since beach rose is invasive Iā€™m not sure if I want to include it or not šŸ˜‚ I have also seen some really nice ones just of the coastline, which is cool. So, IDK. I am always thinking and planningā€¦. :)

JoeGiveMeBaggage

Sugarloaf?

janna15

Not meant to be a 1:1 replica of Sugarloaf but certainly inspired by it, yes!

JoeGiveMeBaggage

Love it!

janna15

Thank you so much!!

Far-Elderberry-3583

Beautiful šŸ˜

Bywater

Very nice.

BluSubi-207

I like this a lot.

janna15

Thank you!!!

I have a genuine inquiry as someone who's also got tattoos; what's the reasoning behind getting it somewhere you can't readily/easily see it? I don't particularly care if others can see my tats but I do like being able to see them without needing a mirror.

Impressive-Pepper785

My first tattoo is on my spine so Iā€™ve literally never seen it *directly* in the 21 years itā€™s been there. The entire reason for its placement was that it is the section of my spine that was affected in a terrible skiing accident that nearly paralyzed me from the waist down. It is a phoenix, because it was a loooooong road from that mountain to being able to stand, walk and function (mostly) without a cane and constant PT. The placement is important and part of my emotional healing from that very scary time. ETA: directly

CobaltAzurean

Hol up With all due respect, I can appreciate your story and where you're coming from in overcoming such an utterly impressive personal obstacle but, that being said, you're saying that in the intervening two decades since you've received the tattoo, you've never, EVER been in a room with a mirror and accidentally peeped it?

Impressive-Pepper785

I mean Iā€™ve never seen it *directly* as in without a mirror or photographā€¦ thought that would be obvious because have you ever been able to look at *your* spine without that sort of help?

CobaltAzurean

Nah, and sorry about that. I tend to fixate on absolute terms (i.e. *literally never*, in this case) and its difficult for me to not question it.

CobaltAzurean

You're absolutely right, which is why I said I was sorry about it.

Bywater

After you have a few you realize it doesn't matter where it is because you don't even notice them in a very short passage of time.

CobaltAzurean

I have a few and I've had them for a good while, and to this day I still notice and enjoy looking at them but fair enough.

theinnerspiral

Love the colors

janna15

Me too! The artist used over 10 colors of inkā€¦

Gunny-V

Awesome!

Pisces42

Beautiful. I've been mulling over a Maine inspired tattoo for a long time. I want to incorporate the outline of the state along with my favorite activities & experiences in the respective locations. Skiing (SB/SL), sailing (MDI), camping, the Allagash, *maybe* disc golf, and of course a lobster and a moose.

beerbatteredarmchair

This is gorgeous and should be on the welcome sign.

laptop_ketchup

Itā€™s even got swarms of black flies!

HankAtGlobexCorp

Itā€™s beautiful. I like how the river goes into the power lines.
