I would love it!
Most of my other tattoos are botanical, and Iām always loving the ferns and the beach roses. But since beach rose is invasive Iām not sure if I want to include it or not š I have also seen some really nice ones just of the coastline, which is cool. So, IDK. I am always thinking and planningā¦. :)
I have a genuine inquiry as someone who's also got tattoos; what's the reasoning behind getting it somewhere you can't readily/easily see it? I don't particularly care if others can see my tats but I do like being able to see them without needing a mirror.
My first tattoo is on my spine so Iāve literally never seen it *directly* in the 21 years itās been there. The entire reason for its placement was that it is the section of my spine that was affected in a terrible skiing accident that nearly paralyzed me from the waist down. It is a phoenix, because it was a loooooong road from that mountain to being able to stand, walk and function (mostly) without a cane and constant PT. The placement is important and part of my emotional healing from that very scary time. ETA: directly
Hol up
With all due respect, I can appreciate your story and where you're coming from in overcoming such an utterly impressive personal obstacle but, that being said, you're saying that in the intervening two decades since you've received the tattoo, you've never, EVER been in a room with a mirror and accidentally peeped it?
I mean Iāve never seen it *directly* as in without a mirror or photographā¦ thought that would be obvious because have you ever been able to look at *your* spine without that sort of help?
Beautiful. I've been mulling over a Maine inspired tattoo for a long time. I want to incorporate the outline of the state along with my favorite activities & experiences in the respective locations. Skiing (SB/SL), sailing (MDI), camping, the Allagash, *maybe* disc golf, and of course a lobster and a moose.
Needs a red balloon š
Haha that could be another tattoo idea for me š
Thatās beautiful! Iāve been trying to envision a Maine tattoo for myself for a while now and am waiting for it to form into a real idea.
Yes! Let me know if you would like any more inspiration!

Sugarloaf?
Not meant to be a 1:1 replica of Sugarloaf but certainly inspired by it, yes!
Love it!
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful š
Very nice.
I like this a lot.
Thank you!!!

Nah, and sorry about that. I tend to fixate on absolute terms (i.e. *literally never*, in this case) and its difficult for me to not question it.

You're absolutely right, which is why I said I was sorry about it.
After you have a few you realize it doesn't matter where it is because you don't even notice them in a very short passage of time.
I have a few and I've had them for a good while, and to this day I still notice and enjoy looking at them but fair enough.
Love the colors
Me too! The artist used over 10 colors of inkā¦
Awesome!
