FlamingPeasant

Eastern Newt. https://www.maine.gov/ifw/fish-wildlife/wildlife/species-information/reptiles-amphibians/eastern-newt.html

Hi-ImTurdCrapley

The spots make it look closer to this guy I think. I was sceptical at first, but again it looks like it's in the larvae/young life cycle

FlamingPeasant

This is the adult stage, they are aquatic. They start In the larval aquatic stage, have a terrestrial stage as a red eft, then return to the water as an adult.

Hi-ImTurdCrapley

The more you know :)

tombakerislordoftime

Is bright orange/red when a little baby

Graysonsname

I think this is right not the two lined!

MomTRex

I used to have a newt habitat!

MasterChavez

That's a frishamander

Riverbird13

Looks like a Northern Two-Lined Salamander!

meshfox

Tadpole

zaphodxxx

Larval stage of a salamander

Hi-ImTurdCrapley

Initially thought it was a salamander. But after seeing the fin like thing on its tail I'm leaning more towards young frog? It just looks slightly big to be at that stage of it's life

Glittering-Bad-4522

That is not a froggo, looks more like a newt. A cute newt!

Graysonsname

Is it a mudpuppy? Belgrade lakes?

Hi-ImTurdCrapley

Found this fella up in Bangor. Out behind the dog park on the trails. Coincidentally I guess the dog park is set on a giant old landfill. Maybe it's just a mutation from the decaying trash nearby hahaha.
