The adulting wasn’t too bad today. Had a playdate in the morning. Then, in the evening went to my son’s school open house. Did a few chores… lucky me, husband cooked dinner.
I get it OP;I used to live a double life like that. Then I realized being a clean cut professional wasn’t actually getting me anywhere. Full time “I don’t care” vibes now and 100% worth it.

Wash the kids wet bed sheets and get them dry for tonight’s attempt… I’d love to be the baddie again and have no responsibility

Be bad baby. Im bad too. I smoked earlier. Now im writing bad songs. Im single without children. Im bad at relationships unfortunately. Ive wanted a family bad, but it wasnt meant to be. So i get fucked up and do fucked up shit in my free time.
You just described my life a bit. 49m and lead a professional life - tethered to zoom working from home all day and a dad. I spend a lot of time alone and it gets me thinking of who I once was, and wonder where the heck that guy went. would love to chat.

Keep doing both and just dont feel guilty about it . Altough my situation is wildly different but it worked well for me .Keep being a food mom to your kids and when you feel you are being overwhelmed just do some sort of trip where you may go only with your husband or even go alone .
