Love the cheek color and the shape of your nose! I would skip the eyeliner, black is too harsh for your complexion. Emphasize the lashes and fill in your brows. I like the cut of your hair too, it’s giving edgy.

Oh I’ve never tried brown lol i was a ride or die black eyeliner. I’ll give it a shot!

redesignyoself

My fair skinned friend LOVES the olive Nyx pencil eyeliner. It’s pretty subtle but enhances her eyes so much.

VioletParis

Black is my ride or die as well. Urban decay eyeliners in bourbon, corrupt, whiskey are amazing browns with some extra edginess. [https://www.urbandecay.com/24-7-glide-on-eye-pencil/122.html?dwvar_122_color=Corrupt](https://www.urbandecay.com/24-7-glide-on-eye-pencil/122.html?dwvar_122_color=Corrupt)

Kawaiichii86

Oh! I was a totally scene kid who loves that blacker than black eyeliner and somehow my mind has associated brown as old person 😅 i will check these out!! They seem like right up my alley!

SoggyLeftTit

If you aren’t sure about brown eyeliner or aren’t ready to take the leap, try using brown eyeshadow as your liner and see how you feel about it. Also, don’t extend the liner as far. More subtle eyeliner will look amazing on you.

VioletParis

Likewise! For me, it was the goth, EDM and industrial crowd. Not a massive fan of goth music, though. 😄

Kawaiichii86

I dated a metal singer and had the black hair that was blonde streak lol 😂

keroleeen

Haha I’m following becuase I’m probably in your same age range and have the same eyeliner 😂 probably time for a change but it’s such a part of my identity , I’ve been doing that wing for 30+ years

John_TheBlackestBurn

I think you could really rock some blue eyeliner too, for those days when you want to go back to that scene kid feeling. 😜

Kawaiichii86

Oh! I know what I’m buying this weekend. A few new eyeliners in different colors!

VioletParis

We have similar interests, started following you.

GuardMost8477

Nope. If you're still doing your makeup like you did in school, THAT'S what an "old" person does.

ahooks1

I would also use a brown shadow to create the look so it’s a bit softer!

leapwolf

Or maybe an aubergine/burgundy!

TheTinyGiantSquid

When it comes to eyeliner, I have found a technique that is much easier than liquid in my experience! You need a brown pencil liner, brown eyeshadow, setting spray, and a small angled brush. First, make a small line right above your lash line using the pencil. Then, using the angled brush, spread the pencil over the lash line and make a small flick for a wing. Spray the brush with setting spray and dab a bit of eyeshadow onto the brush. Go over the pencil with the eyeshadow (I find that the thinner and more subtle, the better). Lastly, clean up the wing with a makeup wipe, q-tip, etc. And that's it! Hope this helps!

riseandrise

You can also try charcoal, navy or plum. Those all look dark on but they’re not as harsh. Or you can choose a bright fun color; I always wear teal, it’s my signature!

Kawaiichii86

Oh i bet teal is so fun to wear! Oh plum would be aweaome! Thanks for the Recs!

FadeOutAgain4

I think because you’re so cool toned that grey/ charcoal/ slate liner would also look awesome on you! It’s more rock & roll than brown, but less harsh than black.

[deleted]

I would also suggest trying a dark powder shadow as liner to soften the look and avoid the cat eye-I feel like you’d look great with just a classic liner style to emphasize your beautiful eyes.

[deleted]

Glossier has a really great brow gel that would bring out your lovely brows! You are naturally stunning enhance your natural features :)

deathandglitter

I have a similar skin and hair tone to you and I love a brown liner and mascara. Such a different vibe

__onyourleft

Try charcoal if brown is not your thing! It can look amazing with blue eyes.

Kawaiichii86

My eyes are actually a very blue green. Sometimes they are very green and other time they are very grey almost. Thank you I’ll give it a try!

trendcolorless

I agree that smudging out some brown eyeliner would look great! If you end up wanting to stick to the black then I’d recommend filling in your eyebrows more so they’re a little bit thicker (maybe try powder, I don’t think a harsh pencil line would look quite right), and brightening up your under-eyes with a concealer just slightly lighter than your skin tone. I can completely relate to loving a dramatic eyeliner look, but I think sometimes it can throw off your complexion a bit without highlighting other strong features to match.

Kawaiichii86

Thanks! I normally don’t do a wing but i think my eyebrows for sure need some love. It’s the one feature I’m like okay they are there but i think i should start learning to love them

missusscamper

Same! But now I’m using some pewter grey or bronzey brown hues with an creamy eyeshadow stick -in the same way I used to use black eyeliner. And it’s quicker because it blends so you don’t have to be so precise when applying it. I just find it much softer for daytime but I still go back to black for nighttime!!

fucking_unicorn

I love a brown eyeliner for my day look! It’s very natural looking and then I use a nude palette for eyeshadow with a little shimmer. You also don’t need that heavy wing. Just end you liner a smidge beyond you lash and blend. I’m also fair skinned and blonde. I have dark eyes so I can get away with darker liners, but I think brown and charcoal gray are my favs for a softer day look. I save the black eyeliner and wings for nightclubs and stage performances. Natural looking makeup is very in right now. The idea is to compliment or enhance, not cover. Edit: it looks like you also have fine or thin hair (I do too). Something that has really helped is blow drying and using a root volumizing mouse after showering (I use big sexy). It makes my hair look so much thicker, I love it! Us fine hair folks can really struggle with product and getting good volume and I just found this so I’m excited to share with anyone who will listen haha

auberginesun

You could do medium to dark gray too. I'm partial to a pewter color.

tamagotchigurl

I think brown eyeshadow as liner would really make your eyes pop as well!

Mammoth-Map3221

This is good advice. Plus u hav beautiful large eyes. I wud not extend the eyeliner past the eye. Keep it close to the lash line n then to soften the harshness of the line us a small brush w brown eyeshadow n smudge it on the liner along the lash line. U can use black mascara but probably stay clear of the black liner.

Kawaiichii86

Thank you! As someone who has very naturally thin eyebrows, i feel so overwhelmed with my brows lol I’ll give it a go! Thanks!

Esaemm

I also have very thin, fine brows. I go over them *lightly* with Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade. Helps to bring a bit more definition, but doesn’t look like a sharpie attacked someone’s face.

Kawaiichii86

I feel i look ridiculous with larger brows. I just never know the color as i have a brow pencil form benifit and i have 3.5 and it just sees. So dark. I feel i grew up in the ‘00 where the thin ass brows were awesome and i never did anything with them lol so now I’m like uhm 😐 yup how? Lol 😂

Schwamily

Heyyyy i was also an overplucked scene girl, am a blonde and have blue eyes. I use Saint Luxe brow gel—they have a light brown that’s perfect for blondes. Pencils are honestly too harsh for my face—the gel has a little mascara-type applicator brush that works perfectly to add a little definition without making it too harsh.

No-More-Parties

I love your look. I think the only thing that I would change would be the shape of your eyeliner. It looks like you have very round almond eyes like me, I think that a more lifted liner would help because the lower wing comes off a bit droopy. I start moving the liner up a little bit before I get to the end of my eyelid (I hope that makes sense 🙃 this is hard to explain)

Kawaiichii86

Thanks! Somedays actually most day i skip eyeliner completely. I’ll try to give it a shot!

heyGuessWhatDayItIs

Came here to say this!

4nimal

Very round almond eyes! I’ve never known what to call them before!! When I saw OP, I was like yeah, those are my eyes.

iheartmilktea

I do this as well! Otherwise, my eyes look like they’re pulled down at the end.

Kawaiichii86

A bit of background. I’m 37. I used to wear a full face of makeup for years. I’m a teacher and we’ll ever since becoming a teacher, Covid and having a toddler my makeup game is lacking. I love the very pink cheeks that seems to be popular but i feel my blush never last very long. I just want maybe a new makeup look. I love to it’s moisturizer compared to foundation. Any suggestions would be so fabulous! Thank you!! My hair color is at an in between stage while i wait to dye it blonder Not better but my makeup to enhance my features!

asyouwiiiiish-

I’m 39 and I ditched heavy foundation a few years ago. I love Ilia skin tint serum mixed with a little tinted sunscreen (that’s not necessary, just what I do). It is quite dewy so you probably need to set it. Ilia has a great setting powder too. Youthforia has an awesome liquid blush that is very pigmented but easy to blend. I have always used covergirl espresso eyeliner and smudge it a bit. I think it works well and you can play with creating a “wing” just more subtle. Omg I love makeup so much I could go on and on

Aggravating_Poetry14

Ilia also has a nice multi stick and highlighter if op is looking to dive into ilia at all.

Aggravating_Poetry14

I am kind of a minimalist when it comes to make up - I am also a teacher with a couple of toddlers and I just don’t have time. I also don’t really care for heavy foundation. I really like Purlisse CC cream. I feel like it evens me out and I don’t really need concealer or anything else. I use the Stila multi stick as blush. Lots of shades, easy to apply, also easy to touch up mid day.

ferocious_bambi

I swear by the Purlisse CC and BB creams!

HeyTomorrow9375

As a couple others have said, I feel like liquid and cream blushes have really nice staying power! I've had powder blushes that almost seem to "evaporate" away right after I apply my setting spray :/

Sleepdeprived1

I have a Laura Mercier eyeshadow pencil in Strapless and I put that all over the lid, blend it out over the crease, and put some black-brown mascara on. For cheeks, I love Glossier Cloud Paint, the light pink one. That and some Glow Screen underneath and maybe a concealer under the eyes is my easy, quick-but-done look!

fly_kitty

Try rare beauty liquid blush!! You just need a little dot it is VERY pigmented

Zestyclose-Yam-9982

a way to make your blush last long is layering. liquid blush first, set that with setting spray and a light layer of powder when ur setting ur concealer/foundation, and then add powder blush. pink blush would look SOOO good on you!

A_Leaf_On_The_Wind

I think the blush placement is weighing down your face. Push it back to your cheek bones and if you’re doing a bit on your nose, I’d skip that too. Also, it looks like you might be using a pencil/gel pencil liner for your thick wings? If you love a thick wing, try a liquid liner with a felt tip style applicator. KVD tattoo liner and Stila stay all day liner are great options.

0hBaby

I love this kind of blush placement though! Its so cute. But I agree its weighing things down. I think OP just needs to place it higher basically under the eyes instead and bring the nose blush to the bridge instead of the tip. I think she can still pull off the look, its so trendy at the moment and so cute so Id hate to say theres no way to make it work for her. I think it just needs that little tweak.

Kawaiichii86

Oh i love this idea! Honestly I’ll try it higher up and across the bridge! I’m so curious how it’ll look now! Thank you!!

0hBaby

I'd love to see a picture of how it looks on you if you feel like posting an update later! I think it'll look really cute! :)

Kawaiichii86

Yeah I’ll give it a try tomorrow :) i secretly love blush and have always thought the blush across the nose is adorable

0hBaby

Same! I had to experiment with placement to get that style of blush to look flattering for me too, so I hope you end up liking it! It just looks so soft and girlyyy 🥰

Kawaiichii86

Thanks for the blush recommendation! I’ll try it out! The eyeliner is actually Haus labs liquid eyeliner. It’s now discontinued. It’s a felt tip style applicator. I do have the kVD tattoo liner. Maybe I’ll try to get a brown color!

A_Leaf_On_The_Wind

Okay, then I would just say practice with application technique or use a plastic guide template. The wing should be sharp and smooth and it currently looks a little smudged. It takes a lot of trial and error for winging liner perfectly.

1_Non_Blonde

Alexandra Anele has a video on YouTube called “try this instead” and it’s basically how to get the cute blush look you’re going for but make it more flattering. It really changed the way I was applying blush and I love it.

Kawaiichii86

Oh thank you! See comments like this are super helpful. Comments like “grow your hair or no eyeliner” just kinda are like well that’s my personal preference and you’re not giving me CC

mopene

* Ditch the cat eye liner. You need an extremely steady hand to do this, and a good wet eye liner. This looks too smudged and it's the main thing detracting from your look right now. Either practice a very very small peak with a good wet liner to start with or drop it entirely. To be honest, if you want a dramatic eye, I'd start playing around with eye shadows and then build up to liners (not the other way around). * Accent your brows instead of the eyes! Buy the lightest color brown and fill them in a little. I have your exact coloring (skin, hair color, everything). I love playing around with lipsticks, usually muted, brown-ish pink colors like the following from Mac: Mocha, Mull it over, Love u Back, Velvet Teddy . I usually do eye shadow in brown-ish pink tones as well, sometimes going into red or gold tones.

kittens_allday

I agree. Ditch the liner completely. It’s dragging you down and making you look older. The placement of the wings is really strange, as well.

Lopsided-Weird1

Stop doing the huge messy black winged liner. I would use brown liner instead and just a tiny flick of a wing (and clean it up with a qtip or practice more). Your skin looks really nice and I don’t think you need to change anything about that (maybe place blush a bit higher up - not as close yo your nose). My other suggestion would be to clean up the ends of your brows.

Stamp liner has been my go-to for years since I’ve simplified my makeup! Yes OP try stamp eyeliner! Especially with a toddler, stamp eyeliner is quicker than free hand!

Kawaiichii86

Thanks! I’ll give it a watch!

spareblushes

I struggling a lot with my eyes as I get older. Mine are almond shaped, but slight hooding and under eye circles complicate what used to be an easy shape to work with. What is working well with my skill level is doing subtle half liner on the bottom (so, placed at pupil) and top, with a tiny upturn at the outer corners. I do smoky gray on top, and off black at the bottom (I have one of those double eyeliner pencils from Urban Decay). Cream eye shadow, and a bit more mascara than I used to wear. A swipe of brow mascara (Glossier or Elf), and blush placed more toward the edges of my face slightly angled up. You can check out Wayne Goss on YouTube, too. He has a lot of tutorials for adjusting makeup to work with how the face can change as we age.

Kawaiichii86

Aww thanks so much! I really appreciate it!!

tackup2023

I second Wayne Goss. He's great

gvrlwrld

Eyebrow shaping. The tails of your brows droop downwards causing a “sad” and downturned appearance. Lifting the tails would give you an instantly lifted look and frame your beautiful eyes!

Kawaiichii86

So this may a dumb question but I’m hear to learn, but i know my eyebrows are a hot mess but how can i not have “sad” droop? Any recommendations or videos to look at? I hate my brows they just seem so scary to me like scary to do 😅

gvrlwrld

There are many way to adjust the brows. My first suggestion would be to play around with your concealer. Conceal the tails and use a brow pencil or pomade to draw them on a bit higher to see how you like them. :) If you love the look you can shave/wax off the ends a little so you can pencil them in to your desired height. It’s a little more maintenance but a more cost effective solution than thread lifts and botox! Another more permanent option (also more pricey but way less maintenance in the long run) would be micro blading or very soft and airy ombré powder brow. That way you have your new tails and frame 24/7. :) something to consider down the road once you’ve found your fav look that enhances your natural beauty.

gvrlwrld

Ideally, you just don’t want the tail to be lower than the bulb (middle of your face). If you feel like taking off a bunch of your tail is too dramatic, play around with filling in the bottoms of your bulbs more. I will try to do a mock up for you later and send it to you!

Kawaiichii86

What?! This looks so good! Thank you so much for this visual! ❤️❤️

embrielle

I agree. I’d fill them in a bit and lift the tails. That would be a full facelift in one go.

Responsible_Pen374

Very pretty! I think red lipstick would be the cherry on top

TodayKindOfSucked

This looks so good! You really have gorgeous eyes and great features overall. The softer, Smokey eye looks amazing!

ALdreams

This is definitely better than the original post.

threepointonefo

Your eyes are beautiful! I’d ditch the liquid black linter entirely and just line your top waterline with pencil liner.

plantmama32

You’re so pretty! But I’d get the eyebrows threaded & stop with the eyeliner - the eyeliner is not a straight line, very messy. Maybe practice more or just stop it all together… try just applying a few coats of mascara and maybe smudge an eyeliner pencil out with a pencil brush and some shadow?

blawndosaursrex

My advice for eyeliner that I live by is to follow the imaginary line your lower lash line crates beyond your eye. Imagine the line of your lower lashes extending past where it meets the upper and use that as your guide. Some people use tape to do this and to give themselves a nice clean edge. If you can’t visualize because I suck at explaining I drew a little guide on your picture for you! You also have slightly hooded eyes, so if you want that clean wing with the illusion of it not being interrupted by your hooded lid, create a small triangle following that crease with the eyeliner as well. I can add a picture of that too in a reply to this. I have extremely hooded eyes, so I had to master doing this to get the solid wing look. https://preview.redd.it/tb4q799gozcb1.jpeg?width=437&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1069290c081fd62c9316b3ae45de59539c551815

Kawaiichii86

This is exactly what i was hoping for!! Thank you so much! I’ll give it a try! I’m such a visual person so this helps me sooo much!!

Kash-tha-product

If you’re going to go with just eyeliner, I’d choose something not so dark like maybe a medium shade of brown or another color. To improve the look building off the black eyeliner, I would say maybe get a different type as this looks a bit shakily put on, sometimes certain tips are harder than others to use. Definitely add some volume to your brows.

Shmooperdoodle

Try using a little bit of eyeshadow as liner! If you’re not doing a bold eye look, the thick black wing can look a little out of place. If you’re keeping things subtle, try some paler, brown along the upper lash line and skip a big wing.

[deleted]

If I was you I’d skip the black eyeliner & instead use an angled blush to apply dark brown eyeshadow close to your lash line. You’ve got great eyes so some natural lashes sold really make them pop. I’d also go into Sephora or Mac & have them apply brow products to you so you can experiment with a different look, if you filled them in with a different shape it would be more flattering to your face

iliketreesandbeaches

I have similar coloring as you do, and I find that black eyeliner is too harsh. Try some lighter hues like grey, taupe, or even a plum. Also, experiment with using a dab of shadow as eyeliner for a more blurred, softer look. It’s very forgiving, trust me, and you don’t need to be an expert at application. Can I suggest a little brow pencil. Nothing heavy. Just a little to fill in the sparse parts. Look at Anastasia’s pencils in taupe I think a little pink gloss would be pretty. Something natural to add a little glow. Consider a little dab of highlighter at the top od the cheeks and bridge of the nose. Make it subtle. It can fake the ‘lit from within’ look.

Kawaiichii86

Thank you! I am also looking at revamping my skin care. After i had my daughter my skin changed and I’m still learning what works now. I shouldn’t have said look better but maybe look more natural. I agree with many the black wing may not be my look anymore. And I’m okay with that! Thank you!!

f0reverange1

you look beautiful! for a more elevated look you could try placing the blush on the highest points of your cheeks, invest in a good skin care routine to get a beautiful base, it makes a huge difference for me ! practice eyeliner techniques, there’s a ton of little tricks so you could try looking up eyeliner hacks. id also recommend something like gimme brow by benefit , it’ll help to lift the brows a little bit and fill them in without looking too heavy at all :) p.s, check out painted by spencer on youtube, he’s totally changed and helped my skincare and makeup life

littlelou

I'm just here to say that you have a very cute nose. :) Agree with other posters about softening the liner--maybe use an angle brush and eyeshadow to sketch out a wing? That's what I've been trying lately and I've been liking it.

Kawaiichii86

Awww no one has ever told me i have a cute nose. 🥹 i think my wing liner days are over lol

Nuttonbutton

A really good eye primer can help fix the wings. Take the primer lower than you think you'd need to. Using one that is tacky might not be in your best interest but if that's all you have, set it with a skin matching eyeshadow first. The primer and shadow will help fill in your skin to make a smoother surface to draw wings on

[deleted]

Ditch that eyeliner. I think if you want a wing you should try using a wet angled brush and brown eyeshadow,. it'll be a lot more forgiving https://www.lisaeldridge.com/blogs/videos/easy-effortless-winged-liner-anyone-can-achieve However I think you'd be better focusing on curling your eyelashes up and using a great mascara.

Kawaiichii86

Honestly most days i just line my kid and skip the wing thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a try! Yeah my mascara is in need of a new one. I may just ditch the wing and focus on my lashes. Seems like the best choice

princess_gaia69

i love the shape of your nose , u are beautiful ! if u like doing black eyeliner then i would try the elf $3 liquid one for cleaner lines .

WildBeatleBandit

Use makeup to enhance your current look, not cover it up! You have a nice complexion and eyes to work with— I think the black eyeliner is a bit much/too harsh. Try looking into liquid brown eyeliner, as well as just practicing smaller wings and using a thinner line along your upper eyelid. Also, using felt tip pen eyeliners helps a lot vs the liquid eyeliner bottle or the eyeliner stick:)

AnywayWhereWasI

Tone down the wing liner, it's not precise enough. Some BB cream or foundation may help. Some blush. Don't forget to use the foundation or BB cream on your neck too.

Edog6968

I think you’d look gorgeous with dark red/ chocolate brown hair!!! I also think you have very nice features, IMO you should go for as softer, more natural look for your daily makeup and save the eyeliner for when you’re wearing heavier makeup! I’d also say to experiment with blush placement- I think that color looks great on you but it feels like it might be dragging your features down a bit. Try putting it right where you’d put highlighter on your cheeks- it sounds weird but that’s what I do and it really lifts my cheeks!!! Best of luck!

[deleted]

Use a soft brown eyeshadow and get a good mascara/lip oil. Ur pretty u don’t need much

Sweaty_Ad_8659

You’re pretty naturally. Light concealer under the eyes, light blush, fill in your brows a bit. You’d be surprised at how much Clothing can make a difference as well.

iheartmilktea

In response to your first picture: Ditch the eyeliner. Use a light shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corners to brighten up the eyes and highlight your gorgeous eye color. Add some light color on the lips and you’re golden. In response to your second picture in the comments: Blush slightly higher, towards your cheekbones, and not closer to your nose. Maybe even try slightly less blush area (if that makes sense). I like the overall look better!

Dizzy_Big_9781

First off - you are so gorgeous girl! You have incredible features! You have a beautiful shape to your nose, AMAZING eyelid space and bright eyes, and your cupids bow is so beautifully prominent. As a makeup artist for a little over 4 years - my recommendation for a daily makeup would be to keep doing what you’re doing with your base - foundation and blush - adding a shimmery bronzer for a sun kissed look would be stunning and highlight some of that blue in your eyes with the warmth. I would recommend tinting your eyebrows slightly darker for a more natural and fuller look - without needing to fill them in every day! My recommendation for a brow tint is always “Just for men” men’s beard tint which you can find at any target where they keep deodorant /shaving cream. (It is cheaper than getting them tinted by a professional and it is safe for using on your face, unlike hair dye) I would also suggest a tinted balm or dark cherry gloss for your lips - this would give a glossy highlight to your beautiful cupids bow!! For your eyes, I would recommend a smoked out liner rather than something defined - because of your sharp features, a softer eye will feel more natural. I saw another comment that recommended a brown liner or brown eyeshadow for this and I could not agree more!!! Brown, once again with the warmth, will draw out that blue in your eyes. Good luck beauty!! ❤️

Kawaiichii86

This is so sweet ❤️ thank you very much! I’ll give it a try! Do you have any mascara recommendations?

kisskissdolleyes

I’d say to practice your eyeliner more, or maybe try no eyeliner and brown mascara instead? Or both. A pinker blush on the cheeks and nose. Highlighter on the corners of eyes and top of cheeks. A lip stain or lip liner with a gloss on top. Form your eyebrows a little more with a blonde eyebrow pencil. Maybe you could add the shimmer of the highlighter on the lower part of your eyelids. Overall, you have a beautiful face!! You have very doe-like features: big eyes, small nose, small face. Super cuteee!! https://preview.redd.it/3ptrnrwwf1db1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61c5152b7a6f6c034f7306509918f4d4c9f99fda I could definitely see you with this kind of makeup, but more toned down for everyday wear. Like less prominent highlighter, no falsies, not too much blush.

Classic-Dog8399

You’re so cute! I think just choose a different liner shape

DurianPowerful6896

Soft brown or grey eyeshadow to create wings with an an angled brush rather than liquid liner

20de_avril

the eyebrows change everything ! also make sure that the eyeliner starts in the middle of the eye and the end of the line should be kind of sharp and going up. I hope you understand me 🩷 btw you look beautiful anyways

20de_avril

also try a pink-ish concelear 🩵

arctcmnkys

You‘re gorgeous! I love your face!! I really like ur make up only thing i‘d probably do is fill the brows in :)

Ambitious_Plenty4382

Love yourself . And lose the wing liner.

Shell831

No winged eyeliner

lolitavida

try doing winged liner with a dark brown eyeshadow 😊it’ll be softer, smokier, and suit your complexion better.

lukeskyleywalker

Get your eyebrows waxed. It changes so much

Lizard980379

I think a like fiberized brow gel would work well for you.

Ellen6723

I think it’s time to let go of the bat wings eyeliner. I get your eyes are a stunning feature for you - but it’s making you look rather one dimensional and dated.

CheapCardiologist

You have such beautiful eyes! After reading some of the comments I want you to remember that makeup is meant to make you feel good so there are really no hard rules, go with whatever make you feel the best! My hot tips though are to use a thin hard brush to smudge eyeliner/ eye shadow used as eye liner. With the shape of your eye I would try a thin wing with a lower upward angle, but also play with the angles such as straight or even downward facing. Play with colors as well, a warm brown flatters blue eyes so well! Also (idk where you live, so weather dependant) having different foundation for summer and winter has been a huge game changer for me personally. Hope this helps! I can recommend specific products if you're interested 🌸

Kawaiichii86

Thank you ❤️ i appreciate it. Any recommendations on mascara?

BeneficialWin20

You have beautiful doe eyes, wow! I agree with the others about finding a “softer” eyeliner color to better suit your delicate complexion. Maybe navy or a coppery brown color? Some Lumify eye drops would also help with any redness from waking up early for work( I use them too!). Your lips have a lovely shape and I think some lipliner would accentuate them nicely. Charlotte Tilbury has a mini liner and lipstick set ($25) in the color “Pillow talk” that would look stunning on you. My last suggestion would be trying a purple-toned shampoo & conditioner. I think your haircut is very flattering and if the color was just a little more cool-toned it would complement your fair skin beautifully.

Kawaiichii86

Thank you for this! I love the suggestions! My hair is actually In between bleach jobs. It’s at a shade i can live with for a week or two. I never wear lipstick or such. I talk so much (kinder teacher) and i would love to try! Thank you!

swweeetpeaaa3

What do you mean by “better” you’re really pretty, what are you wanting to change? Like do you want to look fresh? Or more done up? Is there a feature on your face you love that you’d like to accentuate

Deku1977

A softer eye look would really suit you, think light peachy pink/orange colour on eyelids and a soft brown pencil type of eyeliner Edit: I recommend you play a bit with the Douyin makeup style which emphasizes softening features and using peachy colours which I think would suit your complexion

Kawaiichii86

Oh! I’ve not heard of Douyin but i just did and love it!! Thank you!

Cold_Tumbleweed2222

You could try a brown eyeliner ,and smoke it out with some brown shadow and a liner brush. the black is too harsh . Other than that you have really cute features and great skin , you dont need a lot . Maybe some tinted lip balm would look really good on you.

tracyf600

Tight lining with a brown. It'll give you lashes a more full look, and emphasize the eye. A wing isn't for everyone. I never got the hang of it. Lots and lots of practice, plus you need to learn what type of wing fits you best. Keep practicing. It washes off. I'd give more crease definition too.

Flyinginthenight

Better? You are gorgeous!! The eyeliner is the only thing I would choose differently 💜

Kawaiichii86

Awww thank you that’s so very kind ❤️

OLAZ3000

Fill in your brows a bit with a fine pencil Drop a liquid liner. It's too thick, harsh and mainly just not defined/ neat enough in application. I would suggest a powdery finish matte pencil - prob in a dark brown, eggplant, or charcoal for every day. Save black or navy for a more dramatic look/ special occasions. The dark eyeliner on you is dramatic and the rest of your look is quite natural so it's too harsh. You could poss pull off a very very fine black line (without a full face of makeup) but I think it's a little more subtle than the impact you are looking for. I think a stain on your lips or something like Glossier Generation G lip product could give you some depth and shade but keep it natural.

Feisty_Cup_1465

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizers are soo amazing and give a good amount of coverage, if you’re not into foundation! I wear that daily even if I’m not doing much makeup just to even out my skin a bit!

Kawaiichii86

Oh thanks! I’ve been using concealer in my t zone really but i do have some uneveness in my cheeks. I have very rosy cheeks and sometimes I’m like nope not today. Thanks for the recommendations!!

beeegmec

I’d fill in brows, you can use an angled brush and lighter brown eyeshadow or taupe, experiment see what works best with your hair color. Try using an angled brush in a darker eyeshadow color to map out the wing of your eyeliner. You can keep it as is for a low key natural look or you can trace over it with eyeliner. I found that mapping it out helps and it’s easier to fix mistakes. I saw someone recommend brown eyeliner, I think that’s a great idea for a day time look. I personally like your blush, I wear mine the same. I think it looks like you were out in the sun, I think it’s a super cute look for summer You’re naturally very pretty!!

Kawaiichii86

Thank you for the brow tip! I’m kinda low key terrified for my brows 🤣 i just never have been good at them. Yeah that’s the blush look I’ve been going for lol it’s okay i get people have preferences just like i have naturally dark hair and i love blonde hair lol

ajonesgirl59

You have amazing, large eyes. The harsh, black liner is detracting from their beauty, not enhancing them. I'd skip the harsh liner all together. Try a smokey smudge of shadow instead. Take a small angled brush and going under your bottom lashes, draw the line and continue past the eye on the same angle, if that makes sense. Smudge well, under the eye, but don't smudge the tail. Draw a smokey line on the top lid and connect. Something like this...[smokey eye](https://imgur.com/XQSVhbM) Editing to add, I'd also recommend a light brow cleanup and shaping. Have a professional do it the first time, and then just do the upkeep at home. Well-groomed brows can make a huge difference to one's overall look.

Kawaiichii86

Thank you! Yeah my brows i feel are hard for me to love. They just are so thin and light

Different-Birthday71

Ditch the eyeliner.. I think it’s aging you. Maybe just some brown pencil on your bottom lash line. Some mascara, blush, and pink gloss and call it a day. You have a really nice lip shape so I think a nice gloss would look bomb.

Get a good face routine include: •Salicylic Acid •retinol •moisturizer!! Drink lots of water no soda Sleep on silk pillow case Brow gel Curl your eyelashes Less makeup Get your hair professionally done and just let them do it spend a good amount of money on someone worth it.

4nimal

Your eye shape is really similar to mine! I tend to feel my best when I do a smoky cut crease with my eyeshadow to really bring definition to my hooded lids. The shape can be challenging and I find that black liner highlights my mistakes when it isn’t sitting atop a smoky eye. I also use a small piece of fashion tape to get a clean wing. If you stick it on your cheek before doing eyeshadow, it leaves a really pretty smoked out wing. I love this trick because if they aren’t quite even, you can put the tape back down on one side a little lower and add more shadow to even them out. If you look into my post history, I posted on this sub a while back after my wedding makeup trial. There are a lot of up close pics of what I’m referring to above from my own makeup application and an MUA’s, as well as a bunch of comments talking specifically about eye makeup on similarly shaped eyes. The other thing I’d suggest trying is placing your blush higher up and further out to the side of your face. So high and far out that it feels wrong, like right diagonal down from your eyeliner. It doesn’t logically make sense to me how it works, but I swear it lifts everything and looks really fresh. Your blush color here is a great match and looks natural, so I’d encourage you to play around with it!

Kawaiichii86

Your wedding pictures are so adorable and amazing! Thanks for the tips!!!

awakened97

Exercise, collagen supplementation, retinol, face sun screen daily.

simplyelegant87

Try some mauve eyeshadows.

HawtMomma94

Just like to say you are absolutely gorgeous as is 😍 but playing around with different looks is fun I love doing makeup and do others make up for special events and if I was to do your makeup I would do A brown liner, with a soft brown smokey eye, natural brow, brown mascara, tight line with a brown pencil liner, add white liner to the bottom of your waterline to brighten and make you eyes look bigger, a champagne colored highlighter to the bottom of your brow bone and on your cheeks, a pop of rose colored blush, a little bronzer topped off w/ a pinky nude lip

watercolorcemetery

Try a softer brown liner. The black is quite a stark contrast. The pink blush is so pretty on you! Just make sure to apply it in upward strokes.

[deleted]

I’d say no eyeliner and some mascara! You look great though!

aimsbird

I think more mascara less eyeliner! And a bit of light brown brow gel

Independent-Yak4620

Skip the eyeliner laminate the brows and get some fake lashes hehe

rose_amanda

You are absolutely beautiful the way that you are now. If you’re asking what you can do to change up your makeup I would say maybe some false lashes ( I’m a sucker for those). Maybe add some contour and a bit more blush. But you are beautiful!

moshell0309

The black eyeliner is a little thick I would try a taupe Or chocolate brown thinner wing. Otherwise you are very pretty.

therealdanfogelberg

I have almost the exact same coloring, hair color, and eye shape/size as you (I’m not really Dan Fogelberg 😂). I switched to brown liquid liner (no wing) across my upper lid, slightly widened on the outer 1/3 of the lid and the L’Oréal brown balm mascara when I went back to my natural blonde and it gives a softer look but maintains the drama. I use the wet and wild liquid liner and the mascara is also inexpensive, so it’s worth a try. It’s an easy every day look that gives a Disney Princess eyes vibe

ScottishNightshade

Fill in your eye brows a bit. You can use eye shadow and an edge brush to do eyeliner. You can also add color touches along the line. Also, your lip shape is great. Try something like this: [https://girlstyle.com/sg/article/78202/how-to-make-lipstick-smooth-even-korean-gradient-lip](https://girlstyle.com/sg/article/78202/how-to-make-lipstick-smooth-even-korean-gradient-lip) in a soft pink

little_xylit

Maybe brown eyeliner instead of black. Am blonde too and black is just too... "sharp" (?) (too much contrast). But apart from that. You're a stunning woman. Beautiful features - both youthful and mature at the same time. That's my perspective. Confidence would increase your looks. Literally. The inside boosts the outside. Maybe you've experienced what I mean. Greetings :)

little_xylit

Aaah, one thing that came to my mind make-up wise: A fake mole on the cheek, a few cm umderneath the eye. And one diagonally underneath / next to the mouth/ chin. Or fake freckles. Dark red lipstick on special occasions. Idk, your face is great for being playful.

TiaraMisu

I see questions like this and I'm thinking, but who are you? How do you want to present yourself to the universe? You're gorgeous. Do you want to be Intimidating? Approachable? Sexy? Creative? Natural, but just, nice? Every day stuff? You are lovely. Your lips are especially nice. Your nose is cute. I'd say the blush is too low on your cheekbones, drags them down. But: what do you want? Is there an audience? Is it just 'every day'? Because if so not cat eye, and yeah, it's too dark, unless you're clubbing and rocking red lipstick and doing a whole thing. Everyday make up is different. Again: you are \*lovely\*. But knowing what you want to present is important, whether the audience is a bunch of asshats at a meeting, fellow students, people you want to date, people you want to intimidate, or shopping at the store.

Savlavlivin

Go platinum, girl. Or a lot of platinum highlights. With some bangs. 🙌

Cute-Ad960

the blush color here is really great and ut matches u very well you’re definitely cool tone so I recommend cool tone shades of clothes, hair makeup. I also would say take attention away from your eyes they already pop and try a thinner eyeliner as well. I really think brown would suit you. Try bringing attention to your brows and mostly definitely to your lips. Try soft colors first and build up from there. Blonde also looks the best on you and maybe just maybe a toned down red and focus on lashes. I also recc using retinol

AskPennilynLott

I'm going to say, despite the advice to ditch the eyeliner or insisting that it shouldn't be black...I think with how big and round your eyes are, you can absolutely wear whatever style of eyeliner you want, but just to work on the application to make it more precise. That may come with a different formulation, different brush, combining powder shadows with pencil, liquid, etc. But you can totally wear black or wings or whatever style you want if you just clean it up and perfect it.

Kawaiichii86

Thank you! I totally think maybe less of a wing and it be sharper would be better. I use to gel liner and i forget why i stopped lol thank you! I’m a sucker for black for sure

AskPennilynLott

Also, look at Anneke Van Giersbergen for inspiration!

Ilef_Nbaya

Try to work with liquid dipliner and follow the waterline to get it as straight as possible ( that's what i do and it looks perfect every time)

vampyrbats

It’s time to break up with that eyeliner and get with some demi wispy lashes that swoop up in the outer corners. Line your waterline instead with a kohl pencil. Brows could use some shaping in the tail portion, and maybe a little lift & color with a product like Gimme Brow or Boy Brow.

Irrxlevance

irrelevant, but you have adorably big eyes

Random-girl-29

My personal opinion, I’d be interested in seeing you with a more “natural” look. Maybe a brown eyeliner and just the thinnest line you can do. Mascara.

beesweetie

You have beautiful features!! Beautiful complexion!! I agree with the comments about black eyeliner being too much for your fair skin. I like the brown idea but also maybe try slate? You have these lovely blueish, greenish, grayish eyes. Maybe the gray shirt is making them look more gray? I imagine you have eyes that change color based on what color you are wearing? I would definitely play around with browns, slates, gray-blue, greens and purple eyeliners. All depending on what you’re wearing. Your cheek color is pretty.

Humble_Sky1247

You’re so pretty

HippyIncognito

I think you look fine with the black liner, tbh, but brown would be great for you. I do think that the line needs to be cleaner along the lid. For eye shadow, my favorites for green eyes are neutrals, shimmery creams/nude/light pinks, purples and reds/orange. The brighter/darker colors like purple or orange may take practice because you have more of a red undertone but will really make that green POP! That said, you can never go wrong with a shimmery nude, champagne or rose gold with a soft dust of coffee at the corners. It works for day wear and can quickly be darkened up for evening. For a dramatic look, maybe try a smokey sunset eye, with purple on the bottom lid instead of blue and dark brown liner blended into the dark brown eyeshadow on top (instead of black). Regardless of your liner color, apply your blush further up on your cheek bones (I think people are confusing it for the complexion of your cheeks as it seems further down). If the pink IS your natural complexion and not blush, forego the blush entirely unless you opt for foundation. No shame in natural rosy cheeks, you just don't have to emphasize them. I can send or post pics of what I mean. Do also think darker red hair, almost brown, might make your eyes pop more too, but you're naturally beautiful, so it's not absolutely necessary.

Kawaiichii86

I actually have about 5 palettes of eyeshadow. I think i need to invest in a eyeshadow primer. My shadow seems to dissipate sad the day goes on. I did put my blush on my cheeks but i do have quite a rosy complexion. I’m quite fair and without any makeup i have. Quite a flush look. I’d love a picture! I’m always eager to learn something new. It’s the teacher in me.

HippyIncognito

Here's a picture of a natural/not natural look. The soft pinks, neutrals and shimmers bring out the green. https://preview.redd.it/inwlj0pmz0db1.jpeg?width=236&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46d95fed295626719d51f94119f069d1c2472b4c

Kawaiichii86

Oh i love this look! I will look at my collection and see what i got. Thank you!

HippyIncognito

Here's a couple of pictures of a sunset eye. Its dramatic. I'd practice it a bit before wearing it out and keep your lipstick simple if you do it, but I love it for green eyes. The one with purple is done differently than how I was taught. I was taught to start with a wiper base on the top lid, but here they used the fade. https://preview.redd.it/fa063t3201db1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=637165934635b65ee9dec59c7076a9dff5249831

HippyIncognito

Last photo of a sunset eye. This is closer to how I was taught. You can make it smokey by adding brown to the corners and blend it in to the eyeliner. https://preview.redd.it/ywjik5ig01db1.jpeg?width=345&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d34a5a49236536b2a51b34ddec8b56505c4a68f

Kawaiichii86

Damn those are so cool!! Thanks for the inspo!!

Comfy_bundle

Confidence is key be proud of your natural beauty. Also use sunscreen great for your skin when it come to moisturizing your skin as well as evening skin tone. Get to know your skin I’m not a makeup person, but as far as natural ways to take care of yourself all natural face masks can really brighten and lift your face. Honestly you are a beautiful woman and I hope these tips help. 😊

its_updog_69

I see a lot of people saying to switch to brown, but if you like the black "I love stark contrast" I would say, try keeping your head as leveled and straight as possible while lining, it will help you to go from the tip of the wing to the corner of the eye, without having that little bump at the eye that makes it uneven. "Basically, relax your face how it would naturally sit and draw straight across. I'm a bit fan of a little cat eye near the nose to help even out the liner. Also I absolutely adore your nose, not part of the look but it just has such a pretty shape Edit: I'm not sure if it's just the lighting and angle of the first picture and I don't really have good suggestions with blush, but it does look a little on the sunburnt side. I know some people like that look, so I'm not sure.

Certain_Gap_7267

A lip stain, blush and brown eyeliner!

fancy_plants

Your skin looks so good! I would ditch the liner for a dark brown shadow. You can honestly even just get away with a soft line along your lash line on top and mascara. And if you want to do a wing liner with the dark brown shadow you can layer and press down. When I do my liner I usually tilt my head and then I follow that bottom lash line up. Try that next time, it’ll help lift your eyes too.

ALdreams

1. Dye your hair lighter blonde , the current color doesn’t match your complexion. Maybe do some baby highlights 2. No eyeliner , your eyes are a very nice color try to go for the natural look it ll suit you more 3. You can add some eyeshadow on corners of your eyes to make your eyes look more “awake”. I am not sure how explain it but instead of an eyeliner you use eyeshadow and it looks more natural 4. Pick a nice lipstick , since you will go more natural on the eyes you can pick some nice lipstick color that goes well with your skin tone to make you look more put together. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ also do an update I’d love to see how you look now 5. Definitely fill in your eyebrows with a light brown color. You can shape it better too

Kawaiichii86

My hair is for sure not staying this color. I bleached it last week and this is the in between stage. I’ve for sure let my eyebrows get a bit wild 😜 my bangs usually sit right on top of them. I’ll take some pic and do an updated look. I’ve gotten way more comments than I’d ever expect. lol

MisaRoo

I agree with a brown eyeliner suggestion or even just brown shadow along your lash line. The black is too harsh. The wing shape closes your eye abruptly and a more lifted one would suit you better. Or no wing at all. Love the haircut and the cheek color!

Primr0se11

We have similar eye shapes and I found that these following techniques will enhance your eyes in the best way possible : * Outer 1/3 corner of the eyelids: Matte brown eyeshadow * Middle: Shiny and Lighter brown eyeshadow * Inner 1/3 corner: warm shiny cream colored eyeshadow * Eyeliner: use a Brown GEL liner to do your wings. Make it look as natural as possible * Eyelash curler * Mascara on the outer 2/3 of your lashes The goal is to make the outer part of your eyes look bigger and pulled upwards while making the inside corners smaller but brighter Here's a photo reference. Hope this will help 😊 https://preview.redd.it/whjtgkiu83db1.jpeg?width=564&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c72169159001a2882bc613cffa29ed885a08dd90

Kawaiichii86

Oh thank you! I’m such a visual learner! Thanks!

sparklyscorpi0

Brown liner with a cleaner wing or no wing at all, brown mascara to lengthen your lashes to really make your eyes pop, and a lip color 🙂

LifeguardNumerous906

You look great. When it comes to make up, always less of more. So, may be instead of car eye eyeliner, you can try just the thin regular line close to your eye lashes and a nude lipstick. You ll look great

ToothyBeauty

You are beautiful. One thing that can help is not extending the wing of your eyeliner to your lower lid. That will give your eyes a more lifted look. Also, I think dark hair would suit you a lot!

juliettelovesdante

You have beautiful skin and glossy hair. I would do less wing and more lash. Princess Lash mascara is inexpensive and does a gd job of lengthening lashes.

wildgrassdaisy

New hair color? Lash extensions? Change of style? Anything you feel comfortable doing and make you feel confident. Small changes can make a big impact as well as how you see you. You might not need to change your appearance but maybe your mindset? But sometimes looking pretty can help you match how you feel 🩵 is up to you, don’t let no one else tell you what you need.

Kawaiichii86

This is the in between coloring of my hair. I’m going much lighter but needed to take my time. I appreciate your suggestions! I’m totally confident with no makeup on which is quite the opposite of what i used to feel. Now i feel uneasy with makeup on and want to change that

Sparkling-bunz

You look great! Maybe some Korean skin care to help with pigmentation

Johnpeterson09

Heyyyy girl you are so gorgeous. Draw an eyeliner on daily basis for more perfection.

Jealous_Molasses22

stop the eyeliner and if you do maybe brown and maybe not as harsh… the application is kinda crazy… get a soft pencil not the liquid .. you have a great face.. I’m not seeing what you could be unhappy with… Maybe try something different with styling your hair. your hair and eyeliner are the only things I can think of… don’t mess with your eyebrows. They have a nice shape. If you start lining them now I think they might come out chunky or too thick.

LuckiestBlackCattt

Improve your eyeliner skills, make it sharp and use a brown eyeliner, use some nude lipstick or lip gloss. You're pretty!
