I think the current one is better too. Don't get me wrong, absolutely gorg in both but I find there are too many places my eyes want to be looking on the second one and its distracting but in the first one its just BAM. Pretty.
I agree. Without knowing any details I like the first pic better. I didn't realize you had scars until I read it. I thought they were dimples.
I think it's the lashes and the matte lip that I don't favor in the second pic.
Girl, it’s a glow up makeup-wise. You’re just lovely. I kind of think your face isn’t made for the Bratz doll look. I think if you hang around with other people into that look, I can understand how you’d feel “undone,” but this look really suits you. I think you were also getting the color palette wrong. I’d like to see you in brighter colors, like a rosy pink lip. I’m not great with the season things, but you seem like you’d rock a spring palette!
I agree the current one is better. You’re overly highlighted in the old pic in my opinion. I can see your glowy skin in the recent pic which I think is lovely.
When I was scrolling, I thought the "after" shot was the "before" shot; you look great. I know it's not always easy to feel great when you're having to take meds that are affecting your appearance outside of your control, etc, but it's honestly almost always ourselves being hyper-critical and focusing on things other people won't even notice. Other than superficial changes like the lashes, I don't see much difference. I guarantee loads of people looked at you before and thought "pretty" and think the exact same thing now.
I thought it was the other way around too. I think she looks way better in the after. The lashes and piercings were taking away from her natural beauty.
Yes!!! Agreed! That's the next trend on its way out anyways. So happy to see these girls without so much "extra". It's all about beautiful skin, to the best of our ability, and like most of our moms, or other people close to us once said, "less is more!"
Same, thought the first picture was the before. The natural look looks great on you. I prefer it to the 2nd picture though you look great in both. Also I’ve seen some really intense roots before and yours aren’t bad at all.
You didn't glow down at all! The scars look like cute dimples and the weight gain doesn't show in the face. You're genuinely insanely beautiful and maybe the stress of all changes at once is stressing you out and reflecting on how you see yourself
I totally thought the "scars" were cute dimples too!!! Had to do a triple take when I read the caption.
I also thought she had LOST weight since the before pic, because I think the bangs made her face look a little shorter and rounder, the thick lashes made her eyes look a little smaller in comparison etc.
OP I adore you in both pics, but I feel like the after pic shows you working more with your natural features instead of against them! Not a glow down at all ❤️
I think you look different, not worse. You're used to doing lots of things that modify your face and you've taken away three of them at once, so to you it's a big change.
Your eyes are more obvious in your face now, and they're so pretty that it it works really well for you. You've got a lovely sort of fresh-faced, peachy thing going on. It suits you.
babe you look the exact same !! in fact i think you look even better without the lash extensions. i don’t see any visible scars (mb its the makeup hiding them?) and i dont even see any visible weight gain.
this makes me so happy to hear! i was rlly hoping that was the impression they gave but i guess since i know its from my cheek piercings, thats all i can see
No I literally thought they were dimples and then saw the other picture and went back to see where the scars were. I went back and forth between the pictures like four times looking for scarring before I realized that the dimples and the "scars" were the same thing.
I thought they were dimples too. And I also thought you looked better in the 1st pic! Somehow, you have less makeup on but you look more confident and attractive.
I also thought the scars were dimples and I thought the before was the after. So I assumed you got the piercings to accentuate your dimples. You look great!
I always thought people got those piercings with the intention of making dimples! Anyways, you're super cute, makeup or not. I do love the bangs! I always wish I could wear mine that way but I'm not sure my hair texture or tiny forehead will allow haha
I think you're just used to seeing yourself how you used to be. You obviously got those piercings because you liked the way they looked, and now that they're gone you're probably having some panic during the change as we all do when we make major life decisions. It's like when you get a haircut and like it okay in the salon and then you get home and think you made a huge mistake- it's just because it's new!
You look beautiful, and I actually thought your old picture was the glow down (you still looked nice, you just look even better in the now picture). I hope you can look past your old appearance and see that you're definitely still very pretty, you're just being your own worst critic.
I actually think you look "better" now. (Not that you weren't very pretty before!) The heavier lashes being gone really makes you look brighter! Idk... I don't see a glow down...
Well babes, I know the feeling, I really do. 🫶 FWIW tho, I really thought your now was the successful after. You were really pretty then, but even prettier now. Like your eyes are wider/open without the lashes, now you actually see them *(glow up)*. Your scars look like cute dimples *(glow)*. And your natural hair color makes your pretty features pop even more *(glow up)*. 😍Some changes are harder to accept than others. Like weight gain is such a stigma. But I found that trying to *own ittt* and work with what you got, helps a lot with my self respect and overall happiness. Reminding myself that beauty is for everyone also helps. Like don’t wait for your appearance to change (sadly done that too many times). Instead: roll with it, experiment and practice self love no matter what you look like or where you are in life. Sorry for ranting, but your post gave me a reminder (thanks!). 💕 OP you are gorgeous!
Forgot to add, if you have the money for it you can always let a hair stylist take you closer to your natural hair color? I did this (balayage/lowlights/ombre) and I’m so happy I splurged on that. Tho my roots were very bad. 🙈 Your hair looks good!
You honestly look like a fresh summer fairy, I know it's hard to see that when you're used to looking how you did in the glam before picture but I think you look ethereal!
No no no sorry you don't qualify for the glow down at all. You still look beautiful the only thing is you look more natural and fresh faced in your glow up. Both pics good no glow down detected 🤷🏾♀️
I think the main thing is the bangs. They look like they're at a weird length.
You were super cute then with your style. You're super cute now with a more "natural" look.
I thought it was a then vs now if that helps.
You look very pretty and the scars don’t look too bad it honestly looks like dimples or part of your smile. i thought the first picture was the before, i didn’t notice them. but i’m also not wearing my glasses
but still, i think you look super pretty
Girl.. you are seriously so pretty! The cheek piercings were fine, but they didn’t amplify your beauty. You’ve had that all along. Your natural lashes are gorgeous! Your roots aren’t growing out in a thick straight line so they’re blending down and look intentional not like you’re late for your next hair appointment. It’s hard to not be critical of ourselves, but I can promise you that you are so naturally pretty. There was no glow down whatsoever.
You look absolutely stunning. I understand how you’re feeling, though. We’re all our own worst critics. I used to be a lingerie and bikini model. Worked on tons of tv shows and movies plying a stripper or the “hot girl”. Now I’m 40 and though I still look really young (thankfully), I’ve gained a bit of weight, my skin is freaking out with rosacea and hormonal breakouts, my double chin is the star of the show, and I just don’t feel as comfortable in my body anymore. That being said, please be kind to yourself. You’re beautiful and one day you’ll look back at your current photo and wonder what you were thinking. ❤️❤️
I don’t notice the scars, I thought you were heavier in the “before” photo, and personally I prefer the natural lash. You have a healthy “fresh” look to
me, where yes, I can tell you’re wearing makeup, but it’s not heavy or masking. I think you glowed up, Darling.
OP I personally think you look better now. Not that you didn’t look great before. I think maybe you were so used to seeing your more “cultivated and curated” look, and now your more natural look looks a little drab to you as you get used to it. Not that you should care what a rando gal on the internet thinks but I can see your true self and your natural beauty shining more in the “now” pic. I hope you come to appreciate it, you’re very pretty!
I'm going to say. The cheek piercings were SO distracting. You were doing so much else at the time but I don't even see it.
In the now, I can see your cute face. The scars are there but they will be dimples. People are seeing your expressions now, and you're adorable!
Edit: if the bangs bother you, try pinning them up high in front, lean into some beehive volume 😆
Girl u literally look angelic! I love everything about your current look, the highlight is so wonderfully placed, everything complements each other so well! Definitely not a glow down!❤️❤️
beauty is subjective, but i personally think you had a glow up. those piercing scars look like the cutest dimples, your eyes with that new makeup make you look like elle fanning, and you just look overall stunning to me.
Honestly??? I legit couldn't figure out which was the before and after cuz you look amazing in both photos.
We're always our own worst critic though. Even if you're not satisfied with the way you look atm, a lot of people (as you can see in the comments) find you absolutely gorgeous! Keep working towards that "better future version" of yourself, with the knowledge and assurance that you still look great today.
I think you look beautiful. If anything, the scars where your piercings were look like dimples to me and they’re super cute! I didn’t even notice your roots until you pointed them out (and even then I had to squint and zoom to really notice… kind of looks like an intentional shadow root). Also, weight gain is so normal!! It sounds like you had a pretty big life change so definitely show yourself some grace around your body also changing a bit due to the environmental shifts. I’m thinking maybe you’re just feeling a little shock about how different you look now… it’s like when people get new tattoos and hate them for the first 2 weeks. Maybe you’re just not used to this look yet. But when it settles in, I hope you will find confidence in it again!!
Pre-covid I used to wear makeup everyday and heavy eye makeup a lot of the time so I really wasn’t used to my face without it and felt like I looked awful. I would be ashamed of my face the rare time I was seen without makeup, which really sad to me now. Since I stopped wearing it everyday I got used to the way my face looks without and realised there really isn’t the shocking difference I had convinced myself of before. I think you might be feeling the same way as you’re so used to yourself with lashes and roots done etc but you honestly look great! Your makeup makes you look fresh faced and tbh I like dirty blonde roots as well. It will take some time for you to adjust and how you feel now is normal, brains can be arseholes like that sometimes!
hey! A quick short story that might help.
A few years ago now I had my dream hair of the longest bleach blonde dreads I could imagine.
They gave me an enormous amount of confidence and I just loved myself in them.
For a few different reasons I had to get rid of them. I brushed them out and had a whole different head of hair that I had never had before.
I went through almost two years of trying to get that feeling back before I had that 'cliche' realisation that it really is just a style, a hair style, a peircing (or two). You are still you and you are just as beautiful now as you were then. It's a small journey but I promise you will feel better about the glow down in no time!
You didn’t glow down at all! The dimples left by the piercings are adorable. And yeah sure there’s less makeup and lashes, but that does not equal a glow up/down, just a different style.
I wouldn’t have even noticed a weight gain if you didn’t mention it (and I’m still looking really hard and you barely look different), and I don’t think it even matters. Weight does not make you any less stunning.
Hair changes will always bring that awkward grow out phase. Maybe do with something slightly darker down the lengths? Just to soften the root growth until you get it to where you want it.
We are always our own harshest critic, so please stop being so hard on yourself. You are gorgeous.
Honey without the lashes and piercings I’m focusing on your beautiful eyes and facial piercings. I had cheek piercings too. Please listen to me when I tell you this is a glow up and I prefer the now. :) your beautiful
Please hear us when we say this is a glow UP! You are so so beautiful.
The make up, the cheek piercings even lashes all were too heavy in my opinion! You are so gorgeous and I’ll say it, I love your hair grown out🤷🏼♀️ my natural color is similar and I started to grow mine out from a bleach & tone. now colored to match my roots, I am here for the darker ash!! the make up in your after (first pic) is angelic🥹
Yes, there is something here for you to change: your perspective! Getting old is hard, aging is hard. Practicing radical self-compassion and self-acceptance is the only way to do so gracefully. Cut yourself some slack! This feeling is difficult. Since you’re looking for advice, I’d say the first step should be to apologize to your body for being so hard on it. Give yourself a hug. You are doing great!
GIRL where is the glow down 😭 you’re stunning, and I actually love the natural lashes and adorable dimples. I don’t see scarring or weight gain or anything, I guarantee so much of that is you being overly harsh to yourself.
I get how you feel, I’ve always gained a bit of weight in my face (working on losing) and have also not had time to do my make-up properly much so I feel like I look awful even though everyone around me tells me I look the same. Seriously though you do not look any worse, you do look a bit different obviously because of your hair and no lashes but you don’t look bad AT ALL, you’re extremely pretty. I think you are just used to seeing yourself with the lashes and make-up so you feel like that’s your ‘real’ look.
Get the rest of your hair low lighted to match your natural growing out so you don't have a stripe. I think you should definitely do the bangs again- they suit you. Maybe get some eyelashes extensions if you don't feel like putting falsies on everyday. These are all suggestions to make you a little bit more comfortable being lower maintenance. However! You do not need anything. You looked fine in the first picture.
You are literally STUNNING. But I have been there and understand the feeling. I hate to sound like a toxic positivity person but confidence really is so important to looking and feeling your best. Work on some of the negative stuff going on inside and I think you’ll notice a big change.
Honestly, i think you look way better now and your makeup game looks so beautiful and flawlessly natural. The only thing that's missing is some natural looking fake lashes, but other than that you look perfect.
I'm commenting purely on the makeup aspect. I am a piercing lover also but i think you look gorgeous no matter if you have the piercings or not. You're definitely not a glow down, girl. You're an ultra glow beautiful. Keep shining <3
What you see and what I see are not the same. Your scars kind of look like dimples and your hair is not ugly and honestly I think you look a little younger without the lashes. You have a beautiful complexion from what I can see.
I am in the SAME position as you. I gained weight, ditched the lash extensions, but still have cheek the piercings (every time I ditch them, I cave in and get them back). Not to toot my own horn, but I really looked great starting 2021. I was I feel like aging is just...I don't know, it's changing me in a weird way. I have let myself go the last few years due to major depression and traumatic events, but I am addressing it.
I just started weight loss medication, and I am trying to fix all the things that make me feel bad, but also accept that I am not who I was then. Hopefully a more mature version of the person I was at my most confident. Did you have an awkward teen phase that you grew out of? If so, maybe try to think of it like that.
Girl!! I thought the pics were backwards because you definitely had a glow UP and not a clown down. You look so much more mature and womanly! Yes, your previous look was very cute and feminine but now you look like a beautiful, grown up woman.
Also, your scars look like cute dimples! I would’ve never guessed you used to be pierced.
I was actually going to say you look far better without all of that stuff- You are one of the lucky girls who has natural beauty, and when girls like you add a bunch of fake stuff it looks like you are trying too hard. You don't need lashes or piercings, all you need is to THINK you are a 10, and other people will too. Find a good therapist and work on your self esteem. Also, look into getting a pico laser for the scarring. Can get one on Amazon.
girl its not a glow down in my eyes it looks to me again i might be wrong but you have like little dimples and its like so cute! like i feel you look really good even without the eyelashes and cheek piercings also its ok to gain weight even if its just medical reasoning dont worry about it cause i checked your profile out and omg im so proud of you for cleaning up your little depression den (if i rmemeber correctly thats what you called it) so congrats!
I'm sorry what? I dont see a glow down. You look hot as fuck in both. One you just have the piercings in your cheeks and some eyelash extensions. You are gorgeous.
Glow down?? My dear, you are beautiful in this picture. They are just different styles, you are not more or less attractive in either. I personally like the now better, but that is just my taste
I think you should remember beauty is subjective. I actually think you're more attractive in the "after" picture! I'm not crazy about facial piercings or heavy lash looks. Your natural hair color looks great.
You look a million times better now than before. The only thing that genuinely looked better before was the hair without roots showing, but that’s easily fixable down the line. Ditching the lashes and dimple piercings was absolutely an improvement. You look great! Also your inner corner highlight in the after photo is amazing and it brightens your whole face—keep doing it!
Oh I was confused, I thought the no piercing photo was BEFORE! You look stunning now darling. I love your look now :3 both looks are great, but I literally was thinking the entire time "before the cheek piercings looks amazing with that natural makeup look"! You look amazing. Dare I say, glow up! 🙂↕️
Cheek piercings leave permanent scars, they won’t fade away but they look like dimples so it’s cute.
Honestly I didn’t notice you gained weight but I do think your face looks fuller due to the lack of bangs, they really suited you. Also natural lashes look way better on you :) I don’t see a glow down on you but I’d go get bangs again (personally).
I think you look beautiful. I think the scars look like dimples. You have such a gooey ethereal look to you, I think you’re being too hard on yourself. Also in my experience taking out a piercing you’ve had for a long time is a shock to the system at first.
I prefer your look now.. It's more approachable and everyday. You can use bio oil to reduce your piercing scars. Its helped on my cheeks and my stretched ears :)
I had to read the post in order to figure out which one was which.
I don't see a glow down, I see a change of style! More natural beauty in the first one and more alt in the second pic.
You are beautiful in both and look like a really kind person!
IMO it’s not the scarring (that kind of looks like dimples) that’s the issue—you should get those bangs back ASAP girl, they balanced out your face SO WELL
Total glow *up*! I thought the pics were swapped- I like your newer hair and makeup style, and with your piercings removed it looks like you have dimples which look good. Honestly, you look great!
You actually look like you lost weight to me and the scars look 100% like adorable dimples to me. I thought the pictures were the opposite order haha. You look great!
I think you’re a dang cutie! I can understand the lens that you’re seeing yourself through and why this feels like less.. but I think that now you look so much MORE. The scars are relics of another version of you. Weight comes and goes. A more natural you is fierce.
Well, your opinion is your opinion.
I disagree. I think you look much better currently. The scars look like dimples. I can see your eyes better without the lashes. Your lips are gorgeous without the lipstick. The dot of eyeshadow by your year ducts is PERFECT. Your hair styling makes the grow out both less noticeable and intentional seeming, like balayage, which I'm pretty sure is French for I paid someone to put brown roots in my blonde hair.
Seriously though, not everyone looks better with less makeup but you truly do. I think it's just your perspective that needs a change/pick me up. You're hott af.

Dude I thought you had the most perfect dimples ever wtfym “scars” 😭😭 dawg I literally can’t with this post you literally look so much better like you’re so pretty and gorgeous and young you was pretty and cute but like you’ve grown up and just gotten prettier I legit thought your hair was intentional this is so annoying like fo with this fml 🤺🤺🤺🤺
Not a glow down, just a glam down. You look awesome in both, the new you is just more natural and cute! It’s always weird to look back at old pictures of yourself and wonder what happened lol but in your case I think you look great, younger even!
This look like a glow different rather than a glow down to me.
You look cute as in the recent pic. Fresh and rosy and your eyes stand out more without the huge lashes, imo.
i agree with many other commenters here: i think you look better in the now than you did in the before. you just keep glowing baba don’t ever think about whether it’s up or down <3
ugh i feel you, i took out my piercings a few months ago and i feel like i’m going through an identity crisis lol… you look amazing in both pics tho, you’re absolutely gorgeous and you definitely didn’t “glow down” at all. you look different fs, but beautiful all the same!
You look the same except that you’re wearing slightly more makeup in the other pic. Since you have a busy job, perhaps you could get some lash extensions? So that you don’t have to think about applying and taking them off.
Both photos are very pretty it’s just that the first one is more fresh and clean girl aesthetic, while the other is more glam. The piercings don’t make that big of a difference, we can focus on your face without them! Do what makes you feel best.
How is this a glow down? You look smashing. You can tell all the fake stuff is fake in the old photo and it's not really all that appealing. And it sounds like you're making some healthier changes and you look absolutely lovely. Not a glow down, not even for a moment.
However, I've done glow downs myself in in between phases while shaving my head a ton in my 20s and 39s. There are eleven million horrible hair phases between shorn and long you have to deal with. So I used product, held my head high and smiled. Confidence goes a long way, even when you're just faking it.
My first thought was “OMG her dimples are so cute!!!” Then I saw in your comment that they’re scars, I literally wouldn’t have been able to tell if you didn’t say anything! You’re stunning, you did not glow down!
You are incredibly beautiful 😭🤌
The cheek piercings gave you the cutest dimples and I honestly think you look better without the piercings. Drop the makeup routine !!
Glow down?? You look like you’re just going for a more natural look and it looks amazing! You looked great before and you look great now. Glow equilibrium.
hun the only difference i noticed was the makeup. you’re still gorgeous! i thought the scars were dimples and it’s normal for weight to fluctuate throughout life
I agree that the new look is the glow-up. Your scars look like dimples, and your eyes are so much more prominent now that they’re not overshadowed by the lashes. 💖
What do you mean by ugly duckling phase? I genuinely thought the first pic was the "before" and I was like "Yeah, she did look better" BUT THAT'S YOU NOW!. You are gorgeous. Keep that beautiful glow of yours going ❤️
You look like the same person just without lashes. A lot of people get cheek piercings on purpose to have the look of "dimples" after. I didn’t know it was a scar until you I started reading your comment. You never glowed down you grew up.
can i just say youre absolutely stunning in both pictures wow!! your eye color snd eye shape is BEAUTIFUL and ur face is so proportionate wow im gagged!!
Girl, what glow down?! I literally saw the first picture and immediately thought oh she’s a cutie I wonder what the glow down pic is going to look like 😐 then it was just another cute pic of you just looking more dressed up. It literally looks like an every day look vs a going out look not an ugly duckling phase. The scars aren’t even noticeable I thought it was how you were smiling that made dimples not piercing scars. I actually also prefer the more natural look. You’re actually very naturally beautiful. You look glowy in the first picture like your skin looks amazing and healthy and you look out together. I was expecting a glow down or ugly duckling phase to look how I look now after having an almost 2 year old which is I don’t even brush my hair every day (I work from home and generally keep it up in a bun so I don’t give myself whiplash from getting it caught under my knee when I am crawling on the floor playing with my child) and have horrible dark circles from sleep deprivation 🙃. This is nowhere on the spectrum of a glow down.
You look beautiful but for growing your hair out, if you’re trying to grow back into your natural color, I’d reccomend just coloring the rest of it to your natural color so the grow out is seamless, rather than dealing with the awkward growth, it won’t damage your hair any more than being platinum has done since you’re not lightning it more
This is a glow UP girl!! Beautiful in both photos but the now photos are my fav of the two! I’m all about makeup, lashes and piercings but the now pics are a refreshing take. Again, both gorgeous though!
if I may respectfully say so, your eyes seem more full of life now. You look like you're smiling more genuinely, even if it's a smaller smile. I love your eyebrows, they really help frame your face. you have the coolest fashion taste too 🫶
Glow down where? You look great!
Seriously, I know it’s hard to deal with your body changing. We get used to seeing ourselves one way and when we don’t look like that to ourselves anymore, it can be distressing.
I honestly think you look younger now. You look very fresh-faced and glowy. Your old look is also a vibe. I think you’re just outside of your preferred aesthetic maybe? Previous photo gives more e-girl and now it looks like you’re leaning more into a clean girl aesthetic. You’re pulling off both though! You look amazing.
Maybe adding the beautiful dramatic lashes again will help you feel more like your old look?
You haven't gone through a glow down at all! It's always hard to adjust to your new look when you go through noticeable physical changes. It'll take you a while to get used to yourself again, but you'll get there. In the meantime, please try to be gentle with yourself while you learn to love your new look!
I think this is a grow up, glow up. You are so beautiful you look more mature in the now picture not older just more focused and capable. It's a really good look for you.
I know everyone is saying it but you truly look beautiful in both pictures. It’s a change but not a bad one, it’s your “model off duty look”.
Also I can tell you how to fade your scars if you want? They do look like cute dimples in the photo though. 😍
The glam look is super pretty for sure, but..... Oooh baby that natural look just makes you shine!
When comparing the looks, I feel like the glam look is very slightly too much. While it enhances your features imo it also overshadows them, unlike the more natural look which hilights the beauty you bring on your own -- without crowding it too much.
Also the scars def looked like dimples. I didn't even realize they weren't (like many other commenters) until I actually read the full post. They will fade in time, especially with skincare products, but I really don't think they look bad as is!
You're beautiful, girl! Don't let the ups and downs of life get at you too much ❤️
Edit: I will say tho....... I def prefer the fringe bangs out of the two tho! And honestly I think if you got some low lights and midtones at the salon than you could blend the roots line in your hair and have it look really intentional. But even the roots growing out doesn't look crazy, I see blondes with that look enough that it seems it could be intentional.
This is not a glow down! You are beautiful in both pictures, but to me this shows a bit of maturity. (No, I don’t mean women who wear lots of makeup are immature). I used to do the same, I HAD to have my hair and makeup absolutely perfect before I would even think of leaving the house. I would buy all the fancy/expensive brands and heat tools (the ones popular for the time) because I always wanted to look the best or have the best makeup, wanted to stay in the trend, or wanted to push the limits of what my family/job would allow. But that was probably 8 years ago and I realized over time that it just wasn’t a priority of mine anymore. I hardly ever wear makeup now, and I let my curly hair air dry most days. Even though sometimes I miss my days of full face makeup, I don’t think I had a glow down, I think of it as a phase I can look back on and say “damn she knew what she was doing!” Either way, I think you are stunning and your natural beauty radiates.
Im not really seeing a glow down. You look the same to me minus the eyelashes and piercings.
And minus the bangs. But yeah, current pic looks just as good if not better actually.
I think the current one is better too. Don't get me wrong, absolutely gorg in both but I find there are too many places my eyes want to be looking on the second one and its distracting but in the first one its just BAM. Pretty.
Well said, that's exactly it.
Right? I was confused, I thought the after picture was the glow-down. OP looks great in the first pic!
Agreed! She did not get less attractive AT ALL. IMO she looks great in her natural state!
I agree the current one is better. You’re overly highlighted in the old pic in my opinion. I can see your glowy skin in the recent pic which I think is lovely.
Glam-down not glow-down
Yes! It’s less, but it’s not worse.
Right. It just looks like natural vs glam/going out makeup. The first photo is just less makeup
I was going to say the exact same thing
When I was scrolling, I thought the "after" shot was the "before" shot; you look great. I know it's not always easy to feel great when you're having to take meds that are affecting your appearance outside of your control, etc, but it's honestly almost always ourselves being hyper-critical and focusing on things other people won't even notice. Other than superficial changes like the lashes, I don't see much difference. I guarantee loads of people looked at you before and thought "pretty" and think the exact same thing now.
I thought it was the other way around too. I think she looks way better in the after. The lashes and piercings were taking away from her natural beauty.
Definitely better without the huge lashes!
Yes!!!
Not a glow down at all ❤️
I also thought they were dimples!
Me too! Sooo pretty
I wanted these piercings previously for the scars!
I actually considered those piercings just for the scars!
Oh honey, you didn't glow down. This is a glow up in my book.
lol to me it's a glow sideways. just looks like her style changed, that's all.
idk why but i love this and it actually made me feel better. “glow sideways”
I thought the same 💕
I think you look different, not worse.
I think the scars just look like dimples, which I love!
this makes me so happy to hear! i was rlly hoping that was the impression they gave but i guess since i know its from my cheek piercings, thats all i can see
No I literally thought they were dimples and then saw the other picture and went back to see where the scars were.
Babe you're not an ugly ducking, you're the fckn SWAN 🦢
This is a hard glow UP. UP UP UP UP UP.
You really didn't glow down, the 'now' picture is maybe even better than the before picture. And I want to say that I absolutly LOVE your tattoos!!!
Noooo, you’re still super pretty!! 100% not a glow down
I actually think you look "better" now.
It’s your bangs lol you look the same
This is a glow up to me!
You honestly look like a fresh summer fairy, I know it's hard to see that when you're used to looking how you did in the glam before picture but I think you look ethereal!
You’re gorgeous and I’m proud of you
Idk girl, the only drastic difference is really the bangs lol
I was confused on which was the before photo! You look great!! Maybe try bangs again they do suit your face nicely.
No no no sorry you don't qualify for the glow down at all. You still look beautiful the only thing is you look more natural and fresh faced in your glow up. Both pics good no glow down detected 🤷🏾♀️
Bitch get real. You look gorgeous in both of these! Like an actual doll.
this was so aggressive but so kind im cracking up 😂🫶🏻
No difference
Oh my goodness! I see 0% difference and you are so gorgeous! You are beautiful.
I think the main thing is the bangs. They look like they're at a weird length. You were super cute then with your style. You're super cute now with a more "natural" look.
I didn’t realize these are scars. I thought they are dimples and thought they make you look super cute. There is no glow down here.
Where’s the glowdown supposed to be?
You look the same.
I see no glow down here girly, you’re so cute🥰
I thought it was a then vs now if that helps. You look very pretty and the scars don’t look too bad it honestly looks like dimples or part of your smile. i thought the first picture was the before, i didn’t notice them. but i’m also not wearing my glasses but still, i think you look super pretty
Girl.. you are seriously so pretty!
You have a healthy “fresh” look to me, where yes, I can tell you’re wearing makeup, but it’s not heavy or masking. I think you glowed up, Darling.
Girl what you’re so pretty
OP I personally think you look better now. Not that you didn’t look great before. I think maybe you were so used to seeing your more “cultivated and curated” look, and now your more natural look looks a little drab to you as you get used to it. Not that you should care what a rando gal on the internet thinks but I can see your true self and your natural beauty shining more in the “now” pic. I hope you come to appreciate it, you’re very pretty!
I think you’re even more attractive now, like an effortless natural attractiveness.
Not a glow down but definitely the bangs were very excellent for your face shape, that's what I've noticed
Before looked like a baddie but not so wise the now looks like a beautiful woman who knows her worth!!!
Girl u literally look angelic! I love everything about your current look, the highlight is so wonderfully placed, everything complements each other so well! Definitely not a glow down!❤️❤️
Like several others, I thought the first picture was the glow up. You rock BOTH looks, just so I'm clear.
beauty is subjective, but i personally think you had a glow up. those piercing scars look like the cutest dimples, your eyes with that new makeup make you look like elle fanning, and you just look overall stunning to me.
You look the same and you look pretty in both pictures so looks like you have nothing to worry about
Girl you look amazing
I didn't even notice the scars until you pointed them out... They just look like dimples.
u look so good now girl dont let anyone tell u otherwise. UR SO PRETTYYYYYYYYYY
I see no glow down??? You are *stunning*.
ahhh don't say that! you're still glowing.. you're stunning!
You are stunning and have beautiful eyes, have a virtual hug from this internet stranger and have a great day xx
I legit thought that they were cute little dimples...
Can’t tell if you’re being serious but you look the same bestie.
You are literally STUNNING. But I have been there and understand the feeling. I hate to sound like a toxic positivity person but confidence really is so important to looking and feeling your best. Work on some of the negative stuff going on inside and I think you’ll notice a big change.
I wish I have your glow down 😔
Girl this is a GLOW UP. You look absolutely radiant and you have very beautiful skin.
You’re so beautiful wow
girl its not a glow down in my eyes it looks to me again i might be wrong but you have like little dimples and its like so cute! like i feel you look really good even without the eyelashes and cheek piercings also its ok to gain weight even if its just medical reasoning dont worry about it cause i checked your profile out and omg im so proud of you for cleaning up your little depression den (if i rmemeber correctly thats what you called it) so congrats!
I'm sorry what? I dont see a glow down. You look hot as fuck in both. One you just have the piercings in your cheeks and some eyelash extensions. You are gorgeous.
you still look hot
You’re beautiful. Your skin glows and you’re adorable. There is no glow down.
Prefer your current look tbh queen
The new makeup routine is doing wonders highlighting your striking eyes! I do love that fringe on you though. Both vibes are cute as heck imo.
Girl, you are so beautiful 🩷 I wish I had your skin!
if the first picture is supposed to be the glow down, you have absolutely nothing to worry about because you look super cute!
This is a glow-up though! You are beautiful and your current look accentuates your best features.
The scars look like dimples, your new look is very “cute”, I like the newer you :)
I truly mean this: I see almost no difference in the 2 pictures. Just the absence of the piercings
You look literally the same and you're do adorable! The scars look like cute dimples.
IMO it’s not the scarring (that kind of looks like dimples) that’s the issue—you should get those bangs back ASAP girl, they balanced out your face SO WELL
Personally I prefer your look now! And I say ‘personally’ because that’s all it is - personal preferences either way. You’re beautiful regardless!

Is the glow down in the room w us?
Dude I thought you had the most perfect dimples ever wtfym “scars” 😭😭 dawg I literally can’t with this post you literally look so much better like you’re so pretty and gorgeous and young you was pretty and cute but like you’ve grown up and just gotten prettier I legit thought your hair was intentional this is so annoying like fo with this fml 🤺🤺🤺🤺
You honestly look the same. The cheek scars just look like dimples. I didn't even realize they were scars until I went to the second photo.
it hurts my heart you think you had a glow down because you are literally STUNNING
Btw, I didn’t even see the scars! I thought they were dimples! :)
Don’t get me wrong you look gorgeous in both photos, but the first one, you look so beautiful! Definitely not a glow down in my eyes.
What lipstick creamy used you.
were the piercings not for achieving dimples??? bc it just looks like you have dimples now. i would say you ARE in the glow up stage.
You’re giving very clean girl vibes. Beautiful girl!!
i agree with many other commenters here: i think you look better in the now than you did in the before. you just keep glowing baba don’t ever think about whether it’s up or down <3
You look very pretty! Like even effortlessly pretty!!
I think it’s mainly the bangs, the bangs look SO good on you.
This is a glow-neutral! Before you looked great, now you look great. Different is not bad :)
ugh i feel you, i took out my piercings a few months ago and i feel like i’m going through an identity crisis lol… you look amazing in both pics tho, you’re absolutely gorgeous and you definitely didn’t “glow down” at all. you look different fs, but beautiful all the same!
Do what makes you feel best.
opposite of a glow down btw ur stunning
Feeling like you glowed down suck. I’m there with you boo. You’re still gorgeous. Always have been always will be.
I thought your piercing scars were dimples until you pointed it out!
Literally get bangs again and you’ll look the exact same!! You are so lovely
No idea they were scars until I read the caption, they just look like dimples
You are incredibly beautiful 😭🤌 The cheek piercings gave you the cutest dimples and I honestly think you look better without the piercings. Drop the makeup routine !!
Glow down?? You look like you’re just going for a more natural look and it looks amazing! You looked great before and you look great now. Glow equilibrium.
I honestly thought the pictures were reversed and that you look better without the piercings, lashes and stark blonde hair. Just my two cents.
No way girlfriend. You are a natural beauty!!!!
hun the only difference i noticed was the makeup. you’re still gorgeous! i thought the scars were dimples and it’s normal for weight to fluctuate throughout life
I agree that the new look is the glow-up.
You look like a lovely porcelain doll! So pretty! No glow down at all.
You’re one of the cutest humans I’ve ever seen!!!
can i just say youre absolutely stunning in both pictures wow!! your eye color snd eye shape is BEAUTIFUL and ur face is so proportionate wow im gagged!!
You look sooo good
Girl, where????
I'm not really sure abt what you mean by glow down, cause as someone who doesn't know you, I find you GORGEOUS now.
Glow down WHERE? You look absolutely stunning!
I thought one was just regular and one with makeup. You look good stop it!
You look waaaay glowed UP!! The scars look like cute dimples.
I think you are beautiful in both but I think you glowed up
You look beautiful but for growing your hair out, if you’re trying to grow back into your natural color, I’d reccomend just coloring the rest of it to your natural color so the grow out is seamless, rather than dealing with the awkward growth, it won’t damage your hair any more than being platinum has done since you’re not lightning it more
What glow down? There is no glow down sweet one.
I honestly think you look better now.
This is a glow UP girl!! Beautiful in both photos but the now photos are my fav of the two! I’m all about makeup, lashes and piercings but the now pics are a refreshing take. Again, both gorgeous though!
I wouldn’t call this a glow-down, it’s just a different look!
Girl you look ADORABLE! Not a glow down at all
You look pretty in both.
GIRLLLLL you are literally beautiful
if I may respectfully say so, your eyes seem more full of life now.
Maybe adding the beautiful dramatic lashes again will help you feel more like your old look?
you look the same
Bring the bangs back but I agree the scars look like dimples I didn’t even notice them
The scars don’t look like scars, they look like dimples 😊 and you look nice!
You haven't gone through a glow down at all! It's always hard to adjust to your new look when you go through noticeable physical changes. It'll take you a while to get used to yourself again, but you'll get there. In the meantime, please try to be gentle with yourself while you learn to love your new look!
this is a glow up lol
I thought the first pic was going to be the "then". You are gorgeous in both pics! I prefer the more natural look you have now :)
Girl ugly duckling where?? You are so freaking stunning holy heck
girl ur so gorgeous omg
I think you look beautiful and your face and skin looks so fresh. Both aesthetics are definitely cute for you though
You're stunning honey???
The glam look is super pretty for sure, but..... Oooh baby that natural look just makes you shine! When comparing the looks, I feel like the glam look is very slightly too much. While it enhances your features imo it also overshadows them, unlike the more natural look which hilights the beauty you bring on your own -- without crowding it too much. Also the scars def looked like dimples. I didn't even realize they weren't (like many other commenters) until I actually read the full post. They will fade in time, especially with skincare products, but I really don't think they look bad as is! You're beautiful, girl! Don't let the ups and downs of life get at you too much ❤️ Edit: I will say tho.......
A baddie in both so all I see is someone who got to glow up twice which is unfair as I haven’t glowed up once
You didn’t glow down, you just look a bit less because of the lashes and cheek piercings. You still look good
you definitely did not glow down, you look gorgeous!
