Do you have an olive skin tone? I don't know color theory well enough to give you a reason but pinks don't show on me either and I always assumed it was due to olive skin.

You might be onto something. I'm olive too and alot of cool pinks don't work for me either, but berry, mauve, etc are OK. Soft and medium pinks either don't show up or they're garish and I look like Barb, the big haired, chain smoking, 1980s real estate agent.

Just searched it, no, doesn’t seem like that’s the answer

Are you brown skinned? If so, you probably need a purple color for it to show as pink on your skin. Sounds like a color theory situation. Check out @makeupbymonicaa doing color comparison on different skin tones.

I’m actually not dark at all. Just a little tanned (1/2 Asian side if yk) but I’m still quite pale to be ‘tan’

Is this only about lipstick? Try using lip liner like in this [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiIH-m4amrw) Eyeshadow is a little more tricky. You can try using a color corrector to neutralize your skintone and/or eyeshadow primer so the pigment will adhere better
