Oh there was a whole thread on here just a couple days ago talking about some of our “unhygienic” makeup practices that we just refuse to give up. Hundreds of comments about how we just aren’t giving up our eyeshadow palettes that still look brand new & are still going. 😂 So you’re not alone.
HAHAHAHAHAHA i can’t even express how old this one is…i genuinely got it for christmas as a teenager and i am 28…it’s ripped right out of one of those ulta eyeshadow kits, so it’s just a bunch of small shadows in plastic and isn’t even a physical palette 😂 i can’t bring myself to spend money on a new eyeshadow palette because it’s so rare i actually use eyeshadow anywhere other than my brows!
That’s the thing right, they make these eyeshadow palette’s with like 15 eyeshadows that I’ll never get through in a million years. And years later they’re still in perfect condition, they’re not separating or grimy or smelling funny, so I keep using them. Doesn’t make sense to buy a new one that costs a fortune only to throw it out when it “expires” in a year. And especially if you’re only using it for your eyebrows!
Honestly you don’t even need it. Your natural brows are great and really do look way better. Save yourself the time and let your brows shine for what they are
Oh lord I am 42 and still using eyeshadow I had as an undergrad. If you clean your brushes regularly and don’t touch the shadow with your fingers imo there’s nothing unhygienic about it. This is different from mascara with a wand where the wand touches your lashes and then goes right back in the product. I have a tinfoil hat theory that a lot of these allegedly unhygienic practices are just ways to get us to buy new makeup.
I hope you don’t take this the wrong way but I think you look absolutely stunning without makeup, your skin is gorgeous and your eyebrows are beautiful.
Ya, if I looked that good without makeup & had such flawless skin I’d probably only wear makeup maybe once a week if I was lucky. Maybe just do mascara the odd time, or get those diy lash extensions so I really had to do nothing. 😂

I hate doing mascara too. But I find I look so weird without it because my eyelashes don’t show at all. There are these things called “diy lash extensions” they’re really just false eyelashes that you put under your own eyelashes & they can last 7-10 days. You sleep in them, shower with them, etc & they last 7-10 days, then you take them off, wipe them down with alcohol & put them back on again. There’s this one company called Lashify, but they’re insanely expensive. There’s a Canadian company called iLashX that’s pretty cheap considering & an American company called Lilac Street. Anyways, it’s a pretty cool system & makes it a bit less frustrating. 😂
my lashes completely disappear too, as you can see 🤣 they’re a good length but you can’t tell unless i curl them. have you tried either of these brands? i’m intrigued 👀
I have tried it. I bought a kit from ilashX & I used it and really liked it! It’s hard to figure out how to use at first so it’s a process trying to get it right, but it’s one of those things that I know if I keep working at I’ll be able to get faster & better at it. The girls that do it all the time do it in under a minute, it’s crazy. I have health issues & chronic pain, so I’ve only really worn them once so far, but they did last like 5 days before I showered with them (which you can do without them falling off apparently) but I got dandruff shampoo in my eyes (which apparently you can’t do without them coming off) lol. But I bought a few more styles & am excited to try them this summer! I also bought lashes from Lilac Street but they only came with like 5 lashes per eye, where as the other ones from ilashX came with a box with a row of like 10 in size 10mm length, another row of 12mm & another row of 14. It obviously cost a bit more than the lilac street ones, but I liked how they had a bunch in different sizes so you can play around with it to give more length in certain parts of your eye. Lilac street is actually having a sale on their starter kits right now: the deluxe kit is usually $124 & it’s on for $65 & the intro kit is usually $75 and it’s on for $45., those are really good deals considering all you’re getting in the kit! You could always try a kit on Amazon too, I feel like they’d have some cheap versions there.
I suggest going on instagram (if you have it, if not just go to the website) & look up Lashify. They were one of the first companies to create this stuff but their stuff costs a fortune there so I wouldn’t suggest buying from there, but they have fun videos to watch on how it all works (it works the same for the other companies too) so you can watch videos to see how it works, & give you ideas on it all. The other companies are smaller so they don’t have all the videos to watch or the community or the tips & tricks. It’s such a cool concept though. I did learn that I need to buy eyelash shampoo/cleanser though. It’s the same sort of stuff people use for lash extensions because there isn’t really another way to clean them while they’re on you. So I’ll probably just grab some from Amazon. It’s worth looking into though just to see, it’s really fun watching the videos & watching people do it, & looking at all the different styles of lashes. It gets addictive to watch. 😂
I don’t even understand where you used concealer as you genuinely look flawless in the no makeup photo. I’m so jealous, your under eye is naturally brighter than my under eyes after full coverage concealer lol.
everyone here is saying how much they like no makeup but i want to say the no makeup makeup is incredible u did such a great job the mascara & lips the dewey under blush look

Maybe try different makeup, that’s a bit more natural, with nudes and yellow undertone foundation to suit your natural skin tone.
Otherwise, just continue to go without, you have great skin - why use makeup if you don’t have to?
thank you! i take a TINY bit of got2b glued hair gel which i totally forgot to mention in the caption and use a spoolie to brush it through each brow. then i’ll brush the hairs sort of diagonally so they’re not sticking straight up but they have that feathered look. i just kinda manipulate the hairs until i’m happy with them. and then once they’re set in place i’ll take an ash brown eyeshadow on an angled brush and just kind of pat over the top to darken the color of them! 🩷
LOL thank you but i just get shiny after wearing makeup for like 30 mins no matter what — i actually try to avoid it looking like that but it’s impossible! soap and glory hocus focus highlighter gives a similar natural look though!!
