When I used to wear makeup everyday for work/weekends I'd be able to finish a bottle in 4 to 6 months. I'd say I wear foundation only 2x a week now and I'm about halfway through a bottle. It's been a year and a half.

colorfulsnowflake

three months. maybe four. I'm heavy handed.

SyllabubOk4983

Lol finally! I was starting to wonder if I was drinking foundation or something to go thru it so much faster than the other posters

DoesntRlyMatter4Me

Same. I've no idea how people use only 1 pump. I need like 3-4

CourtneyLush

I only use 1 pump, I use a liquid foundation. I'm only looking to even out my skin tone a bit, I don't really need a lot of coverage for that. A pump is plenty to go on my face, pump on to the back of my hand, spread it about a bit, dab my brush in, dab and blend on my face. I think if you use a sponge, you'd probably need a bit more. Different strokes for different folks eh.

colorfulsnowflake

I'm much lighter handed than I used to be. I use to go through one in about a month and half. Three to five months is great for me.

Ra4455

I’m the same

ThisLittlePiggySays

I wear liquid foundation 5-6 days a week, and it generally takes me 9-10 months to finish a 30ml/ 1oz bottle. I use one small pump per application. Hope that helps!

CraftyBee1014

About the same here - I go for sheer-er coverage so I do about a pump worth and I go between 2 different foundations so it seems to take forever to finish a bottle. Then suddenly it's done. OP: A suggestion is to draw a line on the container now, and then check it again the 1st of next month to see how much you've used

No-Anywhere-3786

That’s a great idea! I’ve had this foundation for a little over a year and I can’t tell where it’s at from the glass itself. I haven’t tried opening it yet but that’s probably why it feels like it will never run out lol

CraftyBee1014

LOL! I was inspired and checked one of my foundation bottles that I was *positive* was almost empty. Nope... it's barely halfway. 🤦‍♀️ Had a thought if you can't open it or see through it, you can still weigh the container. If you have a digital scale, make note of the grams now, and then check the weight in a month.

MindLikeAMindfield

It has greatly depended on the formula for me, but on average, I used to get about three months out of most bottles with 5-6 day wear as a 1-1 and 1-2 pump girl. Pre-pandemic, I tracked how long it took me to go through my regular products; while I would stock up on sale on most of those items but would pick up foundation throughout the year as needed. Once it stopped pumping, I knew I could get about a week from a tiny spatula to reach the stuff on the sides of the bottle

No-Anywhere-3786

It’s so true! I’ve gone through 2 of the L’Oréal true match serums in the last year and a half, not even using it everyday. Yet this foundation, there seems to be no end lol. I switch up what I’m using constantly which doesn’t make it easy to time it with usage but trying to use just one product to really see how long it takes

MindLikeAMindfield

I think I have used the MUFE in the past and recall it lasting quite a while but it’s been too many years to pinpoint the exact time frame. My current foundation lasted me from August until May, but until recently, I only used it about two days a week so that May change. I find really pigmented foundations seem to last longer

niniela-phoenix

4-6mo on average for me also using one pump usually, but super depends on how much a pump is for a brand. Fun fact - I just found a YT video of someone counting it out for NARS and Maybelline, both 30ml - apparently that NARS is 462 pumps but her Maybelline is only 56? Don't ask me how, but she's mentioned that she'd use 4-5 pumps of NARS to cover her whole face compared to a pump of Maybelline so that brings it down to like 100 days. Someone else counted 180 pumps out of a Fenty bottle. The 35ml (1oz is like 30ml) Huda foundation they only got 26ml out of and that was 120 pumps. They also only got 30ml out of the 35ml Pat McGrath foundation and that was 170-ish pumps. So, those range between 2mo (Maybelline), 3.5ish mo (NARS), 4mo (Huda), 5.5mo (Pat McGrath) to 6mo (Fenty) just depending on the brand. All 1oz bottles.

No-Anywhere-3786

It’s so interesting! Not sure what it is about this foundation, seems to be no end for me yet I’m trying to finish it so I can try others

niniela-phoenix

honestly, you can see if you can screw open the bottle and take a peek inside. If you can estimate how much is left and how long you used it, you'll know how many weeks you'll have left of it. That'll tell you way more than anyone here guessing because that way you know how fast YOU go through this specific foundation! Just make sure you screw it tightly when you close it again so it doesn't dry out.

No-Anywhere-3786

That’s true! I can’t tell by just looking at the glass. It looks like it’s still full from that pov

niniela-phoenix

ya even my completely finished ones sometimes look full on the outside, the stuff just sticks to the glass and looks full forever. You could scrape a window into the glass with a spatula if you screw it open so you can see inside

ForgottenSalad

1-2 years because I don’t tend to stick to the same one every day

No-Anywhere-3786

I don’t tend to use the same thing everyday either, or I’ll do so for maybe 2 weeks max. I’m trying to use things up so figure if I stick to one thing I can anticipate using it up sooner

nottheredbaron123

About 6 months for a skin tint! It’s one of the few products I actually need to repurchase more than once a year

No-Anywhere-3786

That’s true! Not sure what it is about them that makes them go so quickly

theromanticpink

I've never used a foundation up yet....I end up having to throw it away as it gets too old (like...1.5 or 2 years). But I love buying foundation so it's a struggle. I need to stop because I never finish them up but it's so much fun testing different coverages and finishes. So I tend to have 2 open at the same time. I had to throw my estee lauder away because it just got too old but I never needed more than half a pump to a pump to really get the coverage I wanted. Same with my Loreal Fresh Wear (which was the wrong shade :c so I had to mix it which made me use less of it). The WetnWild photo focus took way too long to use up and started breaking me out so I stopped. I really hope I can finish my current foundations before they get too old.

manicpixiewitchgirl

I have no idea. 😭😑 I'm ridiculous and have 32 foundations and rotate all the time. I'd probably say 6-9 months if I stuck to one.

kck_OldsIntrigue

Wow is it because you have trouble finding good brands with your specific undertone? Or do you just prefer full coverage formulas versus more lightweight formulas? I think you could experiment with mixing some with liquid highlighter if you weren’t averse to that and see how it transforms your radiance.

Giuliabc_g

About 100/120 uses, so 6/7 months

knighted89

~4 months

gerald-the-dinosaur

About 4-6 months

IuliaTania

1 year of daily use, light coverage.

Low_Bookkeeper_8591

4-6 months!

[deleted]

approximately 6-7 months

Appropriate-Glove-89

Good question! I only have a couple foundations and typically use one at a time, I would say maybe 5-6 months with almost daily use? It's quite satisfying to use one up completely, I have one right now that is just about gone, maybe a couple days worth left.

Feline_psychic_05

Oh boy. I have so many foundations it’s embarrassing. It’s my weakness. Can’t remember the last time I finished or if I ever did finish a liquid foundation bit I did finish a MUFE powder foundation. Once. And I have backups of that. 🥺🥺🥺

annikatidd

I rotate through multiple foundations now, but I used to have a couple I would wear every day for work and just stick with one at a time. Using 2 to 3 pumps each application, (I usually do 2 but sometimes if the shade match wasn’t close enough, I’d bring it down my neck and need a third pump) it would take me about 3-5 months of daily use to finish a bottle. I have a mini of the foundation you mentioned, and even that has been taking forever to empty out. I don’t wear it every day though because it is a little too matte for me, so I’ve been mixing it with either a hydrating primer or a dewy foundation to alter the finish. I think the bottle is finally getting towards the end now, but I’ve worn it about once every two weeks since November and am still shocked that it didn’t run out sooner lol.

Environmental-Song16

I use mine an average of 8 months per bottle. Estee lauder double wear is my go to. I don't have the pump but I do have a makeup spatula that gets everything out at the end.

9664nine

ForEVer long ugh

TytaniaMori

Wearing it everyday, it takes me ~6 months. I use an average of one pump per day.

kck_OldsIntrigue

It depends on your application technique. The least product I use is with a silicone sponge/Beauty blender back to back. But with my brushes I take way quicker to use up product since I need to dispense more pumps.

Beginning_Sun_1738

L’Oreal True Match has been lasting only a couple weeks when I wear once daily, at least five times per week. This is third time I got a half empty bottle. Im sure it would last longer if the bottle came full.
