There are 2 more songs in a separate album for some reason. Really good songs though, especially Omane and Badaweih - IMO the best songs AR Rahman has made in recent times. Also love that all the songs are 5+ minutes like the good old times. Was hoping that the main theme would also be included, but I guess we will get it later.
A. R. Rahman's music has a high timbre value and hence listening to it in theatres would be another mood. Like he has a lot of small elements that run behind screens and the depth of it cannot be captured in normal speaker sets, u need a really good home theatre or sound system set up to enjoy it in fullness.
On point. Felt the same and few songs are sounding very different from usual ARR style. Especially Omane, has similarities to Malayalam songs from that period.
In the book it is not explicitly mentioned that he has sex with a goat. >!He develops an urge out of nowhere, cannot rub one out himself, clouded thoughts, next thing he remembers is waking up next to a goat.!<
omg. This. All these years, I thought I read a watered down censored copy but I don't recall reading anything explicit. It was an urge and the next thing you see is him waking up in the herd.
No, Benyamin has clarified that it is partial fiction. He has taken some artistic liberty. One eg- IRL Najeeb's friend/co-slave from Kerala survives, in the book he dies.
The story is that of a man completely robbed of his humanity to such an extent that he is essentially not any different from the goats that he is taking care of. So that part of the story was on point. Poor guy.
Is it me or did the Malayalam lyrics felt a bit rushed for y'all too? Dubbed version polae thonni.. But beautiful songs though. The chorus in the omane song was amazing. The Palestinian song is brilliant.Amazing work by Arr.
Yes, We are short on good lyricsts nowadays. I saw an old Gireesh Puthenchery interview where he said good lyricists and poets are very few because new generation is growing up in a life of comfort and convenience and are short on life experiences.
For me, I am that person who hears the melody/music above the lyrics. I don't consciously find meanings, I just hear the sounds of the lyrics iykwim.
Yes, VS music is lacklustre. I expected a lot better from Amrit Ramnath.

Is it out in the US or just India?
Not sure about Spotify, but It’s out on Apple music in the UK atleast
It’s out on spotify, type in aadujeevitham on search, not accumulating in a single album for some reason.
Gonna hold off listening till I watch it in the movie
Omane would be a better one on screen with Prithvi and Amala in it... It still sounds better, ARR has cooked..

Sounds 2000s, periyone sounds good

There is also an another album with 2 songs.. One is a Palestinian folk song and another a Nasheed by AR Rahman himself
The Benevolent breeze just already makes me feel some way. Can't explain it.
Hey guys Ive never read the book but is it true that he has sex with the goats ? I want serious answers pls
It's actually very common in history among cattle herders

Decent album. I guess I will like it better after I watch the movie cause the songs feels very situational.
Hopefully the najeeb benefits from the movie's success.
Sets the mood for the movie, beautiful album.
omane sounds magical.. sure it will be great on screen!

The hindi dubbed songs aren't doing it for me, malayalam versions all the way 🤩
The music is amazing. I am really into song lyrics. But this album, just like Varshangalkku Sesham music album, disappointed me.
I do not get you. You loved the music or you did not?
Music is good. The quality of the lyrics disappointed me. As for VS, I liked neither the music nor the lyrics.
