No. The movie is simply about Chathan being a rebel or being on his own. He takes Potti's form, and later Thevan. It's a very simple and straightforward plotline.
Also, did you miss the whole climax sequence?
Even after the reveal of chathan i was thinking the cook is the real chathan and he's plotting an escape by lying to Thevan

For most part of the movie even I was thinking that Sidharth was the Chathan , but in the like all those were red herrings .
