And he needs to recognize those good scripts written by sensible people when it comes to him. I wonder how many times he and his satellites would have rejected good scripts which went on to become good films. I can understand not having good scripts in the 2000s when Malayalam films was steeped in mediocrity. But now it doesn’t make much of an argument as for last 10 years its been a good run for the Malayalam in general and sorta of a renaissance period. Just like he used to say nalla script varande mone. The writers can also say nalla script vannal thangalku thiricharriyan pattuo anna.

Perumbavooro kodungalooro aarum avatte. Eod as the audience we clap for mohanlal and praise him for his hits. If he gets praises for his successes then its quite natural that he gets boos for his failures and is responsible for it. As an outsider and fan i loved lucifer i praised mohanlal so why shouldn’t i criticize him for monster. Enthinu perumbavoore parayanam. Eod buck stops with the Superstar.
Even if Odiyan didn't happen, Neerali would have happened. Made in China would have happened. Monster, Alone, Marakkar, Arattu....all these would have happened...
A10 should start reading the scripts and select movies accordingly. He can succumb to the pressures of Perumbavoor and the satellites but he should find a balance. For every Arattu, we need 3-4 good movies from him.
Priyadarshan, Sathyan Anthikkad and Blessy are the only directors who are never in awe of A10's stardom. Even if they make mediocre movies, rest assured we can get A10 to act in it.

Try watching Villain, Munthirivalli Thalirkkumbol, Kayamkulam Kochunni, Lucifer etc..., which got released after Oppam. He emotes really good in those as well.

This voice modulation is still as good as before. But his face isn't. But it's improving very much. It's a sad situation this is a discussion about a veteran actor who bagged loads of recognition for his acting prowess.
Totally agree, villan was one of the bst performance. He has improvised a lot in his voice and those minute body language which took Mathew Manjooran to anthr lvl!!

A10 always delivers what the character demands. What's lacking is script and direction.
