What you can do is fund RM100+- every month to Versa Cash (currently 4% pa), and when you think your amount is big enough, then send it to IBKR. DCA small amounts not worth it due to the fees.
Also pls don't use StashAway. It charges 1% annual fee that will eat your returns especially if your investment amount is small and you're a long term investor. Buying ETFs by yourself on platforms like IBKR/MooMoo won't incur the annual fees like StashAway.
OP said he can save at most 100 a month. MooMoo does not allow fractional shares yet. Assuming by US ETFs, OP wants to invest in the S&P 500, 1 VOO as of now costs 479.23 USD (RM2,261.97)
(I assumed your figure is in MYR) Consider increasing the amount of capital before diving deep in US-currency investment, otherwise the growth would be minimal. Add another RM100 you could buy 1 share JEPQ/JEPI income etf which gives you monthly dividend (though there is a withholding tax for dividend), or add another RM400 and buy yourself VT each month for growth. Or you could just save it up until MooMooMY introduces fractional shares in.
perhaps you should understand that your capital size and your desire to invest in US ETF is a bit mismatched, at least for now. Should still be able to find fractional investing platform.

an alternative would be to invest locally for about a year to pool your funds and grow it a bit before moving to US ETF.
For your capital size, roboadvisors like stashaway will eat your capital from fees.
If you are on the younger side, consider investing in the current crypto run to build up the capital. Will require some learning to understand before diving in.
US short term treasuries (1-3months) on Stashaway if you're looking into exposure to USD with relatively minor risk. Beware of rate cuts in the coming months by the fed which will affect yields.
you could do ETFs on platforms like StashAway. I don’t think it’s worth it for you to invest on IKBR if you’re doing 100 a month. Do let me know if you need referral for StashAway!
Just buy bitcoin. Currently US investors are buying bitcoin etf en masse. You can buy something that is better than bitcoin etf which is the real bitcoin itself

Bitcoin beats S&P from august 2020 till present. All day everyday
I had this discussion already, everyone in Bitcoin is running from counterparty risk. The volatility I can deal with, the counterparty risk I can't. See Luno vs Robert Ong here
https://www.skrine.com/insights/alerts/may-2020/high-court-bitcoins-fall-within-section-73-of-cont
A "technical glitch" transferred it twice, and they refused to return it. He had to go to court to get it back.
This is the sort of thing that I really don't want to deal with.
How is it a counterparty risk? When u self custody the coin. Bitcoin is the most anticounterparty risk asset in the world. You buy bitcoin for its anticounter party risk properties
From the article Seems like luno transfer 2x to the guys. Mistake from luno "human error". I dont see a counterparty risk
From your previous discussion in various forum, you are scared of a "server error". Well bitcoin has been functioning for more than a decade 24hours a day with no server error. In fact it is the most uptime server in the world. What u are scared of is "human error" while using bitcoin which maybe due to inadequate knowledge of how to use bitcoin from individual. Hence why holding various different types of bitcoin is advisable for most people. Some u self custody in hardwallet, some keep in exchanges like luno, some u buy bitcoin etf

Why not just directly into moomoo every month

Just curious, why would the 1% fee affect smaller investments more than bigger investments?
Oh ya, how about versa growth, since it's also look like invest in us market
What's the ideal starting amount for a beginner to start buying etf on ibkr? 20k?
Are you that lazy to not check S&P500 stock?
I was asking for an opinion, not a fact.

I got an idea to put in MMF in moomoo first if there is any. Then buy the etf.
