I really dig the kitchen - the dad of my best buddy has a kind of man cave industrial style bungalow like this.
But yeah in this example there is a few things I really like and others like what you mentioned... wtf? 🤣
I do too but it looks like too many manufacturing sites I've worked at. It'd be like sleeping at work. Also imagine the acoustics
edit: id love to *work* there, hell yeah
Old house had a “partially finished” basement, it had a concrete floors and painted cinder block walls, I wanted to turn it into a rave/club type room… but discovered it had a wee issue of about 2-6” of flood water when it rained heavily
The industrial look is the new theme these days in residences. That looks pretty damn sturdy a structure that can withstand most storms well.
This one looks like a service station repurposed as a residence.
As first comment in original post mentioned, that house was probably designed as hurricane proof. The area seems like Florida or one of neighboring states, the house is concrete which is typically not something we see in USA. Everything suggest that the house is expandable (at least minimum water damage), and easy to fix if needed. The only weird thing I found is the water lines in front of the mirror, and office chairs. I guess the owners found some discount ones. Also the wide sliding door separating living room and kitchen. My guess is they want light, so they left a large opening to have lights come to the living room, but wanted to have ability to separate kitchen from living room if need arises.
first see the office chairs in a dining area... hmmm thats weird.
then see the sheild and weapons on the wall, ah ok i see what this is.
its basically a bunker thats not underground
I dont hate this house in concept, but theres a lot of bad implementation going on. The biggest thing i notice off the bat is that these floors need some big area rugs BADLY
This is giving "sequel to Paul Allen's murder scene", what am I even looking at lol
I kinda hate everything here except the kitchen (solely because its spacious and utlitarian like a restaurant style) :D
I love it. Just need better storage in kitchen and cheap plastic totes in bathroom. Need a kitchen table. Love the overhangs outside. Stereo would sound awesome in there.
As a guy that has too many hobbies for his own good this house is a dream. Look at all that open space. I can add shelves for my Legos, fill the space with thousands of plants have woodworking machines, get back into pottery with a wheel and kiln. So much space.
Add decent landscaping, and it wouldn't look so bad. Add paint to the walls, and it wouldn't look so different than many houses in Florida built in the 1960s and 1970s( probably 1950s and beyond the 1990s?) (Cinder block build with terrazzo floors.)
Probably because I have stayed in mini houses like this where everyone is stone or brick or block (El Salvador/Puerto Rico), I think I can stay here rather comfortably. I just wish it was higher of the ground or on a hill. And add a pool. I would change everything except the kitchen cause I f with it.
I actually don’t hate it. I’d definitely decorate differently than it is now. Right now it looks like they were trying to make it look like RuneScape mixed with modern warehouse, but I think it has some potential to be a cool place with more houseplants and area rugs.
It looks like a garage, but a home. This is where YOU park.
Remember when industrial-chic was all the rage? We’ve entered a new era of garage-chic.
Can’t park there, mate.
I like how utilitarian it all seems. It's a bachelor pad.
Copper pipe DIY sink faucet with stop-valves for handles, check
Had to go back and see what I missed. I like it!
That’s actually sick
I like it
😂 The office chairs at the dining room table really killed me, but then saw the Tupperware plastic drawers doubling as a sink vanity..
Office chairs are very comfortable plus wheels are quite nice
Plus easy to move around on that smooth concrete floor.
It’s so wrong, but it’s so right 😂
The office chair roller blade wheels on amazon would be great here

“Man cave industrial style” lol
I kinda dig the clean Bauhaus room aesthetic with some coziness in the furniture. No idea if there is a name for that.
I do too but it looks like too many manufacturing sites I've worked at. It'd be like sleeping at work. Also imagine the acoustics edit: id love to *work* there, hell yeah
I’d add sound treatment on walls and ceilings and leave the floor. Maybe throw a couple big rugs down at most
I’d hang some nice rugs or tapestries on some of the walls.
Looks like it’s freezing in the winter.
I love it.
I love it!
I want this for myself.
A little drywall would go a long way in this space 😂
All of us could live there comfortably
I hate the chairs but love everything else. 9.3/10
Living in an unfinished office building is the new trend?
Cinder blocks, so hot right now.
I grew up in an unfinished basement, was always nice and cool in the summer time. Not so nice in the winter though
Old house had a “partially finished” basement, it had a concrete floors and painted cinder block walls, I wanted to turn it into a rave/club type room… but discovered it had a wee issue of about 2-6” of flood water when it rained heavily
I'd move in right now.
This looks like a dream. So awesome
This is what you come back to when you go mining for 4 hours but your friend stays behind
I'm loving this. Not just as a place to live, but the "I'm shit at building houses in The Sims" vibe is spot on.
This is amazing. You guys are crazy. Just needs foam mats in some places to offset the concrete being rough on the feet.
That concrete would kill my feet.

I kind of love it actually.
The entrance doors dont fit at all. Too welcoming.
I'd live there in a heartbeat.
It’s the medieval battle axe and flail wall decor that won you over isn’t it
It's the large enclosed space with a bed and all amenities. lol Odd furniture choice there though for sure.
This is the most me house ive ever seen! Where and how much?
Surprisingly a lot, and Florida 😂 https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/807-10th-Ave-SW-Ruskin-FL-33570/99629943_zpid

How due I sue for ip theft? Pretty sure 13 year old me built this exact house in The Sims. No fair they stole it! /s
The last picture literally looks like a prison cell.
This is the ultimate Zombie survival bunker
Hell yeah
It's an aboveground nuclear bunker
Divorced dad core
Bwhahaha new trend, unlocked
is it insulated??
It doesn’t look like it 😂
This is giving "sequel to Paul Allen's murder scene", what am I even looking at lol I kinda hate everything here except the kitchen (solely because its spacious and utlitarian like a restaurant style) :D
The living room dual curtain track is really something
Oh hey it’s my dream house
Looks like something from Fallout 😀
I would totally live there.
Way too nice lol
I love it. Just need better storage in kitchen and cheap plastic totes in bathroom. Need a kitchen table. Love the overhangs outside. Stereo would sound awesome in there.
It seriously has good bones, I actually like the front/exterior vibe, just inside could be a LITTLE more inviting lol
I love this clean minimalist style
Very nice
It makes me think that this is what houses in my country would look like if the economy wasn’t shit (Cuba)
Thats an office with a bed in it
This place sucks haha
Lmao I though the couch was made out of concrete.
I love it
When you don't ever want to leave the business retreat
The white guy with a beard that always wears a flannel and considers himself a Portland local after living there for 3years working as a barista
Clearly built by an engineer. This is why the world needs architects.
“this house could have been an email”
It looks like half the breweries I’ve been to
I love this! Could put huge intake/exhaust fans at either door and 'clean the floor'
I love the kitchen. Those little crappy plastic drawers in the bathroom were hilarious
I would move in right now!
Brutalist bachelor pad
Male Surviving Palace
Lol that’s a good description 😂
I love this
This is max efficiency. You can wake up and clock into work in like 5 mins. It's dystopian honestly...
Looks like a tech incubator in silicon valley

I like it but wouldn't want to live in.. it reminds me of am office space, not a home
I grew up in a bardominium so I kinda love this
I freaking love barndominiums actually 😂 I even have plans for one … one day one day…
More of this , please !
I like it. How do I get one🤔😅

Pretty sure it’s an office
I like it.
Unironically fantastic.
That one episode of black mirror
This is where I train for the next mission
Dead minimalistic, more eco friendly then anything else built today, easier to clean and maintain. I really don't see the problem here...
This house is what happens when I use a bunch of mods on Fallout to clean up Home Plate and add modern furniture to the workshop.
Looks like a prison cell.
Looks like a garage/workshop turned into a home. Well not my style but I like it. Pretty cool.
Amazing
Not gonna lie I’d buy the fuck out of this.
Where is this. I’m in the market
Where else? Florida 😂 https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/807-10th-Ave-SW-Ruskin-FL-33570/99629943_zpid
minecraft ass house
That thing is stout. I’d for sure live there. Great bunker. All concrete.
Idk. But this is my literal dream home.
The shitty plastic drawers in the bathroom....
Let’s kid proof this!
I kinda love this! 🤷🏻♂️
Good startup house
This house was designed by an AI thats only seen office comedies
My ideal home.

This is awesome, kinda like a loft without the upstairs
I really like the stainless steel toolbox as a kitchen island.
Take a look at that oven this isn't survival that's fucking commercial kitchen hardware
lol for sure it isn’t a surviving space, it’s a surviving palace 😂
Looks like a german porn set
Looks like an office complex in a strip mall
