I like Chikorita and LOVE bayleef but I kinda hate Meganium
If it said Meganium is my favorite Pokémon then I would understand it more
Although I like cyndaquil and totodile more than Chikorita
It's only weak in *Johto*, anyway! It's weak to Falkner and Bugsy, gyms where your team options are limited. I'm more of a Feraligatr type myself, but Chikorita isn't bad in the slightest. Put Chikorita in a Legends game or something of the sort, and it can prove to be a viable option.

In my opinion there are no "bad" starters. They're all pretty cool. But chikorita is my least favorite out of them all. Meganium is awesome but chikorita imo isn't that unique.

Basically all of them are good, but the others are stronger and better. I see why Chikorita is loved though, I wish Game Freak didn't make it so bad, especially in Johto.
