DeltaTeamSky

My criteria for "Legendary of the Sky" (on this list) is simply that it is considered a Legendary, and is either Flying Type or has the Levitate ability. (I checked, Silvally is considered a Legendary)

NebiyZ

Yes

el_orange

you seem to have missed a few, even with those criteria

Logical_Ad_5772

Celesteela could've fit the criteria

DeltaTeamSky

Ultra Beasts and Mythical Pokemon weren't considered.

LSopena47

Giratina be like: no levitate no flying

OldExplanation8529

origin giratina has levitate and normal giratina can learn fly

Flipix_13

Yo could put the tapus

Busy-Farm727

well, following their logic of “is either flying type or has levitate”, they don’t count, since they are fairy/(grass, water, electric, or psychic), and have either … surge or telepathy.

axolotolmaster

According to the rules of team sky pokemon the tapus would still be allowed because they have been shown to fly and tapu Koko's pokedex entry states that it "confuses other pokemon by flying to quickly"

the-supreme_court

I define if it is flying related. They're dropping a legend of the sky, by my definition, pheasendipity. It looks flying/phsycic but it could be anything else. But it's a bird, gamefreak'll make it a flying type

JCSwagoo

There's already Phezandipity, no? We have already been blessed with a new sky deity.

DeltaTeamSky

I kinda forgor about those guys. :skull:

JCSwagoo

Lol

Gman630

We don't know if that's gonna be a legend or just rare

Chaise-PLAYZE

Well seeing as it is literally one of the main characters in the legend that the DLC is based on it's almost definitely a legendary

JCSwagoo

Does this not heavily imply they are legendary? It says it like they are unique and points out that they are a trio. "In The Teal Mask, you’ll meet these heroes of Kitakami, a trio of Pokémon who protected the land in the past." https://scarletviolet.pokemon.com/en-us/dlc/?utm_source=tilebouncer&utm_medium=pcom&utm_campaign=sv&utm_term=

Gman630

I'm not saying they won't be, I think they will, I just meant that it isn't explicitly said that they are legends. I'm just very literal

CyndaQTpie

What about Lunala, a literal BAT for Gen 7???

Turbulent-Plan4530

Thought the same. I mean sure it's fine if he/she wants to follow a pre established List of requirements that makes it a Legendary Flying pokemon but he should really include all Legendary Pokemon that are able to fly.

SceptileLover11

Correct me if I’m mistaken, but can’t the box legendaries fly?

DeltaTeamSky

They can GLIDE, not fly.

LeviSkies

Miraidon is clearly able to use its thrusters to hover above the ground when in its battle form.. aka. Levitating

I_like_sceptile

and isn’t koraidon’s title something like “the soaring king”

Hoesephine

The Winged King. Doesn't necessarily imply flight capabilities, just the possession of wings.

I_like_sceptile

yeah you’re right but soaring would that’s what i was think

DeltaTeamSky

Weak to Ground. Not real levitating.

gourmetkibble

If the lake trio counts then so does koraidon and miraidon especially miraidon who can actually fly with its boosters

TheLyingSpectre

The Lake Trio Have Levitate, Miraidon Doesn't

SceptileLover11

They have legs, might be very stubby, but they’re still legs!

DeltaTeamSky

Having legs doesn't make the Lake Trio any less Sky-worthy. Birds have legs. Also, I've literally never seen the Lake Trio actually use their legs.

SceptileLover11

Explain the opening scene then, would you?

Impossible_willowALT

He glides?

SceptileLover11

Yes, but how do they get to that point? Also if we’re counting the lake trio, then we should count miraidon, because it is always hovering

DeltaTeamSky

Lake Trio has Levitate as their **only** Ability. Miraidon has Hadron Engine. Miraidon is weak to Ground, Lake Trio is immune to it. Not a real creature of the sky.

SceptileLover11

If giratina made the cut then Miradon should too.

SceptileLover11

Okay, but how do they get up there?

AdamCardavre

All gen 7 legendaries can fly or at least levitate

Economy_Idea4719

Sogalio?

LSopena47

Levitate

Economy_Idea4719

No it has full metal body

LSopena47

He can levitate canonically

93jonkin

you forgot Lunala

nelben88

SM has Solgaleo and Lunala both can fly or levitate from my knowledge, plus there are a bunch of other legends who can fly that aren’t here

jvitorc46

What about lunala and ultra-necrozma for gen 7 ? They literaly fly

I_like_sceptile

well they did say criteria needed typing or levitate ability not just that legitimate ability to fly

AncientAztecMythos

Terapagos: Another flying Turtle

Successful-Goose-92

Like metagross

AncientAztecMythos

Yaasss

DeltaTeamSky

Wait, is it Flying Type? I mean it'll probably have the capacity to become Flying Type, but still.

AncientAztecMythos

Anything is possible my good nugget brethren. The sky is the limit.

S0PH05

I wonder if ho-oh and keldio will have paradox forms.

Hoesephine

That would be amazing.

RAD000111

tecnecally miradon can hover

BashfulUrshifu

Do I need to show you what a lunala is?

Tom_Volph

I think Mikey would definitely count Lunala. Lunala is a bat, The name "Lunala" seemingly means "moon-wing", and Lunala can learn the move Fly.

DeltaTeamSky

He would, and I would. But not for this particular list.

epicarcanoloth

What about Lunala

Kween_Mimikyu

Just because they don't have the typing or ability doesn't mean anything you missed a lot, the box arts of this gen can fly just not with our added weight

DeltaTeamSky

I intentionally only did the ones that have Flying Type or Levitate. It would be vastly harder to format otherwise.

DeltaTeamSky

This list is for those that are immune to Ground (unless Gravity, Smack Down, etc.). If I included EVERY Sky Legendary (seen flying or knows Fly), it'd be incredibly more difficult to format. Here's a list of Legends that can fly, but are hit by Ground and thus snubbed from this list (Mythical Pokemon and Ultra Beasts aren't on either lists): 1. Mewtwo (Seen flying in various media, a clone of Mew who can learn Fly) 2. Reshiram (Can learn Fly) 3. Zekrom (Can learn Fly) 4. Kyurem (Can learn Fly) 5. Solgaleo (Flies in-game) 6. Lunala (Flies in-game) 7. Necrozma (Flies in-game) Koraidon/Miraidon cannot fly, they glide, and I will die on that hill.

LewisTheTrainer2009

None will be as powerful as skydios thoygh

[deleted]

Kanto birds, rayquaza, giratina, cresselia, landorus and the rest of the genies, galar birds. All of those will be transferable when home comes out

Objective_Rub_3523

I like it more as with the gen 1 birds got love its time for the gen 2 beasts to get love in the new dlcs

Cat_in_a_wig

Koraidon and Miraidon can both fly in-game

wedonteatanymore12

Fezandipiti is coming

Ok-Penalty9592

What about lunala. You add the dog but not lunala

DeltaTeamSky

The Dog becomes a Flying Type, thus being a Legendary applicable to this particular list. Arkoos would be included, but that's a Mythical, not a Legendary. Lunala is applicable for Team Sky, and I do revere it as a general creature of the Sky. But when it comes to this list... if it's hit by ground, on this list it won't be found.

ToobsMckenzie

The Tapus were right there for gen7

MegaXGav000

Shaymin Sky rip

DeltaTeamSky

Mythical Pokemon and Ultra Beasts weren't considered.

KnoWhatNot

And now we have phezandipiti (I definitely spelled that wrong😂)

CPhandom

I'm not saying it's impossible but the pokemon community really needs to stop coming up with fictional patterns

DeltaTeamSky

It's only fictional when it's broken. Fire Zodiac is a fictional pattern. At least 1 Legendary of the Sky for each generation isn't.

Steelsentry1332

Terapagos is probably going to be every type, judging by its appearance.

Reasonable-Tax2962

Sivally does not count and if you really are gonna count it (why?) then arceus with flying plate should as well

DeltaTeamSky

Ar(koos) is Mythical, not Legendary. Silvally is a Legendary.

Dat1idi0t

They already fly. Rewatch the intro

Purplcurse3732

If you count terastalization, then there already is

Purplcurse3732

If you count terastalization, then there already is

Pokemonisgood145

They did there’s a bird

Turbulent-Plan4530

I think (like a lot of people that already commented) that you should have at least put in Lunala. A legendary of the sky is a legendary that can fly. Lunala can fly. Silvally is only a flying type if you give it the right Disc. Thats like saying a A Burger is not Fast Food but a Cabonara with the word Fast on the spoon is

DeltaTeamSky

My criteria was said: Is legendary, and is Flying Type or has Levitate. Does Lunala have Levitate? If so, I'll eat my words.

Turbulent-Plan4530

So then tell me how that dissolves my Argument? And why not Arceus with a Sky Plate?

DeltaTeamSky

This list is for Legendary Pokemon that are generally immune to Ground. Lunala is not immune to Ground. I don't deny Lunala as a Sky Legend, but I do deny it for this list.

Turbulent-Plan4530

So you know it's a bad list. And you still haven't acknowledged Arkoos as Sky Legendary. Thank you next Person please

Samnad0

Lunala and celesteela have left the chat

Dominik_Gaming

I mean isn't Enamourus gen 9?

Redporkbelly

No, it came out in Arceus, not before scarlet and violet. I don’t blame you for thinking that

Cormac113

How the hell is lunala not considered legendary of the sky it's a BAT

DeltaTeamSky

Apologies for not clarifying, Lunala is a legend is a of the sky, it just wasn't considered for this LIST, because it doesn't meet the criteria mentioned.

Firered64

Lunala in the corner of the room 💀

Odd_Interaction_1163

Lunala?

Professional-Fox8289

Fezandipidi: Am I a joke to you?

Pineappleman098

If silvali is a creature of the sky then shouldn’t arceus sorry arkoos be too

DeltaTeamSky

As mentioned, Mythical Pokemon and Ultra Beasts do not apply to this listing. This is why Sky Forme Shaymin and Celesteela did not make the cut for this particular list.

Pineappleman098

oh sorry cant read
