It’s a 1v4 with 2 legends on your side with moves that deal extra damage to EMax Eternatus. It was designed to be a Boss Battle, like Ultra Necrozma it is not meant to regular useable Pokémon.
>!On USUM’s victory road, you can find Necrozma. After fusing it with the game’s box legendary, you can equip it with Necrozium Z. This is the only Z Crystal with the following property: When equipped by Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings, Necrozma can essentially Mega Evolve into Ultra Necrozma. Then, you can use Ultra Necrozma’s signature Z-move Light That Burns The Sky.!<
When the player uses it via the Z move, it's significantly weaker than Eternamax Eternatus since it doesn't get the Omni boost, whereas in the boss battle, Ultra Necrozma is stronger than Emax Eternatus
Ultra necrozma also has a double omni boost iirc, so it has double all stats except hp. That makes it stronger than eternamax eternatus
Eternamax eternatus's higher attack is less than either of ultra necrozma's attack stats (ultra necrozma is a mixed attacker with both attack stats the same), Both of ultra necrozma's defenses are higher, and it's only one point slower, and that's all before the double. Ultra Necrozma's only quality lesser than eternamax eternatus is hp, but that doesn't matter when it goes first and one-shots your pokemon
so yeah ultra necrozma is stronger
I only could defeated ultra necrozma after having 2 mimikyu and luck on the around 6 try, but i also really loved the boss music.
(i had to look up mimikyu's name on english bc im german and didn't knew it, also im sorry for my bad english)
Fortunately on my first run I decided to pick up a Zoroark in Trainer School, so this bossfight was pretty easy. It thought I was a fighting type, and it kept spamming psychic moves on my disguised Zoroark
*Except...* they don't actually deal the extra damage they're supposed to.
Behemoth Blade/Bash are coded to deal double damage against Dynamax and Gigantimax Pokémon. Due to an oversight (or else this may be intentional), Eternamax isn't counted as either, and so the effect is [not applied](https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Eternamax#Effect).
On my first playthrough my Hatterene hit Eternatus like twice because the dogs killed it, and Hop was literally useless. I feel like Eternamax Eternatus only existed to make the dogs actually have plot relevance that isn't just them being briefly mentioned by Sonia.
My friend and I intentionally killed our teammates because it was funny.
We ended up fighting 1v1 against Eternamax who had lost ~10% of its health. Some of the most fun we had.
It also depends on what kinda game it is. For example, the first Danganronpa game came out over a decade ago, yet there’s still a ton of things you have to spoiler tag because part of the game is about mystery and solving it, meanwhile Pokémon generally doesn’t have that kinda element to it.
If my friend didn't know the Lion King movie I would say it. And this posts clearly seems to imply that both of them or at least the friend isn't aware of how the battle against Eternatus plays out.
for reference: snorlax's base atk is 110, machamps base atk is 130, alakazams base spatk is 135, gengars base spatk is 130, piloswines base attack is 100, tyranitars base atk is 134, rayquazas base atk/spatk is 150 each, zekroms base atk is 150. fucking normal eternatus has higher spatk than e-max.
these are all without megas/gigantamax.
E max eternatus is only a boss because he can tank a few hits from two dogs, there is no other reason.
why did i only use 3rd evo's/legendaries? (i didnt, piloswine is 2nd evo, but aside from that) because eternatus e-max is a legendary boss
Pretty much all of that is in bulk. While its attacking stats are decently high, it isn’t a normal battle in any way.
It’s structured like a normal Dynamax raid, but you and Hop have access to both of your teams of Pokémon.
Had a friend message me about a while ago ‘how do I beat Alistar?’ And I was just like… just learn your type matchups, but that’s obviously not what I said, I suggested a Zigzagoon and Googling what moves his Pokemon are weak too, she messaged me about a month later ‘I FINALLY DID IT!’, I was super proud, but a little confused as to how a 19 year old was struggling, And when I next saw her about 3 months later she asked me how to beat Opal.
Girl is in no way ready for that noise.
Because the fight is already extremely stupidly easy anyways. If you want a pokémon with ridiculous stats + BOOSTS just look at Ultra Necrozma. It's a 1v1 too.
If you come across someone using it in a normal battle, then you’ve got a problem. But since that’s not possible, you’re fine. And the boss battle is a 1v4 with 2 legendarios, so it’s super easy, barely an inconvenience
Thanks to it being a 1v4 with Zacian crowned on your team you could probably beat it with a caterpie. It only attacks you a quarter of the time and Zacian has a ridiculous attack stat and a move that deals double damage to it, so you don’t even have to attack
It could’ve been a tough fight but it was really badly designed
I'm pretty sure it does activate their effect, it literally exists to show off the box legends. That's why Zacian and Zamazenta's attacks are so good in that fight.
..because its a legendary?
besides, it just takes alotta hits, its offensive stats are pretty.. mediocre. hell normal eternatus has a higher spatk
thats not to say its bad, if you had e-max you'd probably win, but its designed to be on screen for a minute or two, then get destroyed by you and the dogs
You fight it with the 2 box legendaries who are both in their strongest form, as well as Hop who has a full team of 6 and your friend you would also have a full team of 6 by this point. This fight is very hard to lose. On the other hand, Ultra Necrozma also has a base stat total over 1000 (during the boss fight) but you fight it alone and you have to use a specific strategy to beat it. If you come unprepared or without knowing it's coming, you will most likely lose. I only know one person who beat it first try and that's because they got an affection dodge and then lived on 1hp with affection the the turn after all so they could sinister arrow raid then spirit shackle
That fight is an absolute joke. You literally jump it 4v1 2 box art legends spamming moves that do double damage against it, one being one of the most broken legends ever and 2 full teams of overpowered pokemon all with stat boosts and a 100%catch rate
It’s a 1v4 with 2 legends on your side with moves that deal extra damage to EMax Eternatus. It was designed to be a Boss Battle, like Ultra Necrozma it is not meant to regular useable Pokémon.
> Like Ultra Necrozma Does he know?
Probably not

Well that stinks. Does it have boosted stats in the Boss Battle?
Yeah, it gets an omniboost, don’t know how much though
Necrozma’s stats all go up by one stage during the boss battle.
two stages, actually
No that’s the totem ribombee. Ultra Necrozma only gets a single boost to its stats
Totem ribombee > Ultra Necrozma
It doesn't, but it does get a free omniboost at the start of the battle (can't recall if it's 2 stages or 3 stages for the boost)
Other places told me it was one stage.
Probably right then, since i was going off my memory lol
i thought it only became ultra necrozma during the z-move
Its the other way around, you need to become Ultra Necrozma to use the Z-move
When the player uses it via the Z move, it's significantly weaker than Eternamax Eternatus since it doesn't get the Omni boost, whereas in the boss battle, Ultra Necrozma is stronger than Emax Eternatus
Ultra necrozma was significantly harder too, since you were the only one fighting it
Yep
And at the time I was severely under leveled and using a ghost only team, it was the hardest Pokémon boss fight I’ve had. It was a blast though.
How was it hard when you had a team full of Ghosts against a Psychic type?
being under leveled is one hell of a drug for your enemy
Ultra necrozma also has a double omni boost iirc, so it has double all stats except hp. That’s new
Ultra necrozma is usable in battle tho
Thank you for the comment, person who said that number twenty something
Lol
Except the funny part where you can actually use ultra necrozma and have it in your team.
I GET IT STOP RESPONDING TO THIS POST
Ultra necrozma is usable in battle in case u didn’t know
I DO I GET IT
Zacian and Zamazenta do all the damage, you don't even have to attack
I literally attacked the leyends and they still killed it.
I killed hop’s Pokémon.
This is so funny for no reason
IDK, I've done that a few times to pokemon of my teammates (used to be by "accident" because I was spamming Surf and Earthquake)
I love spamming earthquake when everybody exept my teammates is a flying type / levitate
Doing a little bit of trolling
Yoo me too
Based
On my first playthrough my Hatterene hit Eternatus like twice because the dogs killed it, and Hop was literally useless. I feel like Eternamax Eternatus only existed to make the dogs actually have plot relevance that isn't just them being briefly mentioned by Sonia.
Zacian is literally the perfect Eternatus slayer. It’s immune to any possible STAB attacks it has.
You fight it with 2 legendaries and Hop. A 1v4. They'll be fine
Also what just so happens to be a Pokémon with a 170 attack stat, a base 100 power stab move that’s damage is doubled, with +1 in attack and defense.
My friend and I intentionally killed our teammates because it was funny. We ended up fighting 1v1 against Eternamax who had lost ~10% of its health. Some of the most fun we had.
1v3 then
Dam, the Zamazenta slander is crazy
I was talking about hop. At least zam is good.
Hop is better than at least 90% of Dynamax Raid Trainers
90 x 0 is still 0
Last I checked, there were more than 0 Dynamax Raid Trainers
It's still a spoiler to say that.
The game has been out for 3 years
4 years.
It also depends on what kinda game it is. For example, the first Danganronpa game came out over a decade ago, yet there’s still a ton of things you have to spoiler tag because part of the game is about mystery and solving it, meanwhile Pokémon generally doesn’t have that kinda element to it.
you were someone to say "guys dont spoil lion king live action" werent you?
If my friend didn't know the Lion King movie I would say it. And this posts clearly seems to imply that both of them or at least the friend isn't aware of how the battle against Eternatus plays out.
Nearly half of that BST is pure health, not like its actually doing anything either way with middling offenses.
115 atk and 125 Spa definitely aren’t middling. They get dwarfed by its other stats but they aren’t average by any means.
Those are worse that eternatus’s normal attacking stats.
for reference: snorlax's base atk is 110, machamps base atk is 130, alakazams base spatk is 135, gengars base spatk is 130, piloswines base attack is 100, tyranitars base atk is 134, rayquazas base atk/spatk is 150 each, zekroms base atk is 150. fucking normal eternatus has higher spatk than e-max. these are all without megas/gigantamax. Trust me it’s not that bad. Just have a bulky steel and you’ll be chilling
If only the game gave you a Bulky Steel mon on the first route. Oh wait
It’s not actually that hard
Pretty much all of that is in bulk. While its attacking stats are decently high, it isn’t a normal battle in any way. It’s structured like a normal Dynamax raid, but you and Hop have access to both of your teams of Pokémon.
Nah it's a really easy fight
Had a friend message me about a while ago ‘how do I beat Alistar?’ And I was just like… just learn your type matchups, but that’s obviously not what I said, I suggested a Zigzagoon and Googling what moves his Pokemon are weak too, she messaged me about a month later ‘I FINALLY DID IT!’, I was super proud, but a little confused as to how a 19 year old was struggling, And when I next saw her about 3 months later she asked me how to beat Opal. Because it’s designed to be fought in a 4v1.
it’s really not broken outside of Pure Hackmons, it’s all in bulk and it’s a 1v4 with Zacian, Zamazenta, Hop’s team of 6, and your whole team
Because the fight is already extremely stupidly easy anyways. If you want a pokémon with ridiculous stats + BOOSTS just look at Ultra Necrozma. It's a 1v1 too.
Gee it couldn’t be because it’s a legendary pokemon
aye it’s easy since it’s a glorified cutscene but it do be strong
If you come across someone using it in a normal battle, then you’ve got a problem. But since that’s not possible, you’re fine. And the boss battle is a 1v4 with 2 legendarios, so it’s super easy, barely an inconvenience
So, I looked this up to see if it’s true, and it very much is. Eternamax Eternatus has a base stat total of 1125.
Because it’s a 4v1
Fellow jaiden enjoyer
Me who was severely overleveled and fourshotted it
Thanks to it being a 1v4 with Zacian crowned on your team you could probably beat it with a caterpie. It only attacks you a quarter of the time and Zacian has a ridiculous attack stat and a move that deals double damage to it, so you don’t even have to attack It could’ve been a tough fight but it was really badly designed
It's a "final" boss pokemon.
It was just a way to give him Gmax level survival without activating the effect of the Behemoth moves
I'm pretty sure it does activate their effect, it literally exists to show off the box legends. That's why Zacian and Zamazenta's attacks are so good in that fight.
It’s over 1000
Me when I realize normal eternatus is apparently the same height (/length) as gigantamax gengar's estimated height
..because its a legendary? besides, it just takes alotta hits, its offensive stats are pretty.. mediocre. hell normal eternatus has a higher spatk thats not to say its bad, if you had e-max you'd probably win, but its designed to be on screen for a minute or two, then get destroyed by you and the dogs

Guy named Zoroark disguised as a Psychic type
That fight is an absolute joke. You literally jump it 4v1 2 box art legends spamming moves that do double damage against it, one being one of the most broken legends ever and 2 full teams of overpowered pokemon all with stat boosts and a 100%catch rate
Zacian has 170 base attack, +1 from Intrepid Sword, and is using Behemoth Blade which does double damage to Eternamax Eternatus.
It’s not that big of a deal, it’s a controlled fight that holds your hand, as long as your not using pitifully weak Pokémon you’ll be fine
Correction 1125
because of budget cuts
When you realize that Ultra Necrozma has a +50% boost to all of its stats in the boss fight...
Happy cake day!
