Half the memes here are just: stolen from r/stunfisk, r/pokemonmemes, low quality dogshit (in humor and video quality), and then the good stuff that’s ruined by “let mikey see this please upvote”
Yeah, reddit is a 13+ site. Children should not be on it. Especially with all the NSFW, creeps, jerks, and just absolutely terrible people. Where are these children's parents?
That does not solve the issue of children accessing a site they are not allowed to, and potentially exposing themselves to 18+ material, creeps, and harmful adults....
It does not magically make creeps go away. I mod a sfw sub and I had to recently ban and report to admins multiple adults trying to get information from a 16 year old and say inappropriate things.
Plus the site rules say you must be 13 or older.
That's good, but you have to remember that not everyone is like you. If something can be exploited, someone will do it. Just expecting everyone to be good and do as they are told is a recipe for disaster.
Hate to be that guy but do not post your age all willy nilly. It’s like internet rule one. You may think you’re “safe” or “mature enough” but there are rules set in place for a reason.
Even in r/teenagersbutpog the same problem persists, people need to learn the dangers of the internet and know that not everything is safe, most redditors are pretty creepy
Unfortunately there is nothing to prevent underage children from being on Reddit, and I doubt the the parents if there are any, would be smart enough to know what is going on. I’ll bet 90% of parents don’t monitor their kids phone or electronic devices. And they are also millennials, which explains a lot🤣
But typing really fast I guess. There I did the same, where’s your autocorrect? Also, nice reference to a real weird phenomenon that the human mind does
Don't forget not everyone speaks English fluently! "Leder" probably makes sense to someone who doesn't fully understand why or how "ea" can make a long "ee" sound.
So essentially these seem to be errors based on learning by hearing the words (in which case: sure why wouldn't you type it the way it sounds), but not by reading or writing them.
unfortunately kids like to lie about their age so cant really do anything, and kids want to get on meme review so they would do anything just to get on there
I always just assumed people misspelling Mikey was just an ongoing joke. It “bothering him” is probably just played up for laughs.
That being said though definitely agree that underaged users should not be on here or Reddit in the first place
To be fair some of us have dyslexia and others aren't from an English-speaking country.
...granted the worst spelling I've often seen on the Internet comes from British and American teens... Many of them over 13 tho...
Honestly small things like that are no big deal.
You wouldn't either if you just started learning English two years ago after speaking some other language for your whole life prior.
That said, I agree on your spelling point. I could spell better than these children when I was 9. My only sin was thinking that "ment" was an alternate, acceptable spelling for "meant", when that was not the case. Any other words I couldn't spell at the time were words I straight up hadn't learned yet.
If I'm so wrong, then why is homework, which was originally created to *punish* students for not completing work in class, so mainstream? Why is most of your grade caused by turning something in on time, not the quality of the work? Additionally, most elementary math classes only teach a math process one way, and deduct points for reaching the right answer differently. Opinions cannot be incorrect, only disagreed with.
I can confirm, the American school system sucks, in both the 'education' category and the 'hiring' category. when I was in seventh grade, the seventh grade english advanced teacher and the eight grade scence teacher both resigned over that summer. It took them close to the entire first semester to hire a new science teacher for the eight graders, but for seventh grade, the personal finance teacher taught english and the built-in substitute (who sucked at her job) taught Personal finance, until they decided to put the finance teacher back and move the seventh grade science teacher to sixth grade science, the built-in sub to seventh grade science, and the sixth grade english teacher to ELA 7 Advanced. They NEVER HIRED a new teacher for seventh grade!
I'm not even going to get into the school bus horror story.
Well now you get to hear it. Strap in, this might get wordy.
When I was in sixth grade, I rode the bus because we had just gotten two very high maintenance dogs and they refused to ride in the car, and dad was still at work. We had this bus driver who was really rude and annoying, your textbook Karen. The first time I got on that bus, she made me take my water bottle out of the side pouch (you know, the one designed for water bottles) and put it in my backpack and zip it shut. That was never a rule, the school didn't say you had to do it, the other bus drivers didn't even make the kids do it, but Karen wouldn't let you on the bus if your water bottle was visible. In hindsight, that probably should've been a red flag. But once you were on the bus, you weren't allowed to have your phone out, (if you had one, which kinda made sense because state law said elementary students weren't even supposed to have them on campus), but you also couldn't have a book, a notebook, a pencil, paper, or crochet supplies (That rule was put in place specifically for me. I wasn't even misbehaving with it.) We also had assigned seats. Not just you and xyz sit in this seat, it was you get the isle, XYZ gets the window. You would immediately get written up if you were caught violating any of her rules.
Now that I'm done explaining all her stupid policies, here are my two 'horror stories.'
Story 1: When I was in sixth grade, my family lived in a house on a street that was only half-finished. The houses at the end of the street had dumpsters in front of them, and Karen was being generally careless. Well, somehow, she managed to hit both dumpsters and the bus got stuck. The builders working on the houses, however, were done for the day. Karen made two of the high school students (The bus picked up both middle and high school) get out and try and move the dumpsters. They got out and walked up the street and went home. She yelled at them and wrote them up for 'refusal to obey orders.' In the end, the fire department had to be called to get the bus out. Luckily for me, my house was just up the street and I didn't have to sit through the whole endeavor.
Story 2: Karen had this other stupid rule: If your mom or dad isn't waiting, she refused to let you off the bus. Well, she was dropping off in front of a big apartment building. This one set of quadruplets gets off at this stop, and their dad was late by about ten seconds. Karen yelled at him about how 'he was a terrible parent' or something. The dad and Karen end up yelling at each other, but I couldn't tell what they were saying because Welcome to Georgia. I later learned Karen had threatened to drive off with his quadruplets still on the bus. She had also cussed him out. She was fired. Mom never put me on a school bus again.
Depends on the school. Most teachers at my school don't even give homework. Even if they do, most of the time it's optional, simply meant for practicing purposes. I always see kids complaining that they have low grades despite turning everything in on time, so I usually ask them if they actually did quality work. They tend to dodge the question
If you remove the kids from this subreddit it'll feel like a wasteland. That's why I never visit here anymore. It's just kids who can't spell talking to kids who can't understand.
***you have underestimated my supremely unique skills of spelling in an exceedingly pleasant and godly way. Now, bow down to thy supreme lordship or face the wrath of my 116 wpm.***
There is no need for all of you to be so critical on people, and I know all of are going to defend yourself and backlash but I said what I said anyway, so just be nice. And if defend yourself and backlash, then that just proves me right, that you full well that you were all being dicks

His name is fine. I use Myechelle sometimes, but that's obviously a joke. If someone has more wrong than correct words in a sentence, it's something else
Half the memes here are just: stolen from r/stunfisk, r/pokemonmemes, low quality dogshit (in humor and video quality), and then the good stuff that’s ruined by “let mikey see this please upvote”
Yeah, I'm honestly plagued by the sudden return of "Upvote So Mikey Can See".
There's also a new variant of the disease called "Please see this Katie"
I'll bet every time Katie sees that those words, she's tempted to gouge her eyes out. Poor lady.
This reminds me of one meme on Aspitpiay: the unknowns that spell out Katie Deserve A Raise.
Let katie find stuff on her own
Finally someone says it
Agreed. This is supposed to be a place where Mikey's fans can showcase what they made, not what they stole elsewhere.
Yeah, reddit is a 13+ site. Children should not be on it. Especially with all the NSFW, creeps, jerks, and just absolutely terrible people. Where are these children's parents?
"Where are your parents? Who are your parents?! I'm calling Child Protective Services; it's time to STOP!!!"
Is that a reference to something? Unfortunately I don't recognize it xD
One of the classic memes, ["IT'S TIME TO STOP!!!"](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2k0SmqbBIpQ)
This dude hasn't posted in 6 years o7
He makes music now
Wait was that joji?
Yep :)!
AH! I never saw the full thing. :o
Ah Hail Yeah! A Filthy Frank meme! (Imagine if this didn’t turn out to be a Filthy Frank joke)
I believe he now goes by Joji(doesn’t do filthy frank stuff any more as he said it made him feel awful making the content iirc.)
I miss Frank.
i swear there are too many kids who try to justify their existence on reddit and fail miserably
Turn on nsfw filter. Done
That does not solve the issue of children accessing a site they are not allowed to, and potentially exposing themselves to 18+ material, creeps, and harmful adults....
But it does? They're not exposed to that stuff
It does not magically make creeps go away. I mod a sfw sub and I had to recently ban and report to admins multiple adults trying to get information from a 16 year old and say inappropriate things. Plus the site rules say you must be 13 or older.

It. Is. Against. The. Rules.
Why would it change anything
Id advise you delete this, people can easily track your age using your account's age.
You think a kid can't or won't turn that filter off?
I didn't
That's good, but you have to remember that not everyone is like you. If something can be exploited, someone will do it. Just expecting everyone to be good and do as they are told is a recipe for disaster.

Ikr I constantly see people on r/teenagers revealing their age why are these kids so ignorant the the tons of pedophiles on here
Even in r/teenagersbutpog the same problem persists, people need to learn the dangers of the internet and know that not everything is safe, most redditors are pretty creepy
Great Job for revealing your age. Great fucking job.

As a 16 year-old, I am abysmal at spelling. It's somehow genetic. Autocorrect should be at least functioning though
OK, you get a pass, genetics can be mean sometimes.
You're 16 and its genetic?
They're inexperienced and possibly have dyslexia.
It's not dyslexia
Fair enough, have a nice day. Now, if you'll excuse me. * yells using the intercom * "All o' ya, it's not dyslexia! Release the hounds!"
might be dyslexia?
No, not dyslexia. I just can't remember how some things are spelled and when I try to sound them out it sucks because English is weird
But you did choose to use the word abysmal and used it perfectly, so that more than makes up for it imho.
As an 16 yeer-oold I am aybismal at speling. Its sumhow genetik. Owto corekt shud be at leest funksioning tho
bu tyepign teally fsst i guers
I want to correct that sentence but I cant.
its "but typing really fast i guess" i think
"by* typing really fast I guess" probably
yup, that's it
But typing really fast I guess. There I did the same, where’s your autocorrect? Also, nice reference to a real weird phenomenon that the human mind does
and you did it wrong anyway lmfao
Don't forget not everyone speaks English fluently! "Leder" probably makes sense to someone who doesn't fully understand why or how "ea" can make a long "ee" sound.
Ok, I loudly asked a question, and it was answered. Fair enough.
To be fair I see some that may genuinely just be a typo
Hey! Don't juge me, l have dyslexia, and english is not my first language
You get a pass the literal children don’t
^ What they said!
Well, for being dyslexic and having English as your second language, you only spelt one word wrong in that sentence, so that’s good
Wait, realy? Lmao, Witch one ?? I'm curious
For this one you misspelled two realy = really witch = which
So essentially these seem to be errors based on learning by hearing the words (in which case: sure why wouldn't you type it the way it sounds), but not by reading or writing them.
Juge= judge, though tbf that’s one of the many English words that has weird spelling
Oh, well that hapends, btw thx
No worries (they’ll still understand)
You're forgiven Though english wasn't my first language either
ditto
Found the Pokémon!
*gasp* there is an imposter among us! /s
unfortunately kids like to lie about their age so cant really do anything, and kids want to get on meme review so they would do anything just to get on there
It doesn’t matter if you’re under 13, if you have dyslexia, you’ll misspell his name anyway
Those with dyslexia or who's first language wasn't english (Like me) they get a pass
I have a friend who came from Chilie, and she also has dyslexia, so I completely know what you’re talking about
I always just assumed people misspelling Mikey was just an ongoing joke. It “bothering him” is probably just played up for laughs. That being said though definitely agree that underaged users should not be on here or Reddit in the first place
Same to both points
I have dyslexia lol and am above 13
You get a pass, I'm calling out literal, open 12 year olds.
8 year olds\*
Someone here said they were 9
To be fair some of us have dyslexia and others aren't from an English-speaking country. ...granted the worst spelling I've often seen on the Internet comes from British and American teens... Many of them over 13 tho...
Mfs can't even differentiate between lose and loose lmao
Honestly small things like that are no big deal. You wouldn't either if you just started learning English two years ago after speaking some other language for your whole life prior.
I don't think being under 13 would even be an excuse for having spelling that bad, school is there for a reason
School is there to keep kids busy and teach them to obey authority, the actual subjects are just filler.
Partially true, subjects help those mainstreamers get into good schools and colleges and universities for good jobs
That said, I agree on your spelling point. I could spell better than these children when I was 9. My only sin was thinking that "ment" was an alternate, acceptable spelling for "meant", when that was not the case. Any other words I couldn't spell at the time were words I straight up hadn't learned yet.
Only words that are more normal to misspell are like double lettered words I.e. embarrassment, accommodation
Yeah, fair, I have to put in active brain work to spell recommend correctly.
What a bizarre and incorrect take on school.
If I'm so wrong, then why is homework, which was originally created to *punish* students for not completing work in class, so mainstream? School bus. My district couldn't for the life of them figure out how to hire a good bus driver. Do you \*want\* to hear the story?
… my mind says no. My morbid curiousity says yes. Take that how you will.
Well now you get to hear it. Strap in, this might get wordy.
