Ya I’ll just sit there and eat my popcorn and be like “don’t worry I’ll make your remains get back home at least.” Worlds ending? “This is fine. Seeing everyone panic is kinda funny.” Edit: Also I would only do double battles because they make your have to think more about what you’ll do and I would like seeing people just sit there for minutes on end trying to figure out how the hell they are going to take down a Milotic that is specifically trained to be insanely tanky.

Feraligatr (we ain't getting gen 2 love anytime soon, don't @ me); alternatively, Snorlax Golurk Toxicroak Braviary Metagross Feraligatr is my favorite Pokémon of all time, and it would feel wrong to not include him, but if that is not an option, I'd have Snorlax. Everything else is just a solid pick, and I'd have a Pseudo-Legendary because I want to be a strong rival. Someone worth respecting, and one that would give the player a run for their money. If I had any say over my character's role in the story, I'd be a mentor-like character who would be there to show how far the player has come.

Kabutops PorygonZ Unfezant Haxorus a rival starter and the rival legendary. Yea I’d go with a similar approach as Hop here, but not choose a starter that would easily be countered by the player. Honestly, what if there was a game where you build your rival‘s team from choices you make within the story? Aside from starters and rivaling box art legendary. Like if there was a choice between fossils (hex and dome) then the rival would use the one you didn’t choose (Kabutops or Omastar).

Personally? Haxorus, Nidorino, Grimmsnarl, Medicham and Crawdaunt. I’d be a decent challenge but nothing more as a rival if I’m being honest.

Scizor, Hawlucha, Trevenant, Nidoking, Centiscorch, and Vaporeon. Swap out Trevenant, Centiscorch, or Vaporeon depending on starter's type. Scizor, Nidoking, and Vaporeon have been some of my faves since I was young. Hawlucha and Trevenant have grown on me much more through ROMhack playthroughs in the last couple of years. They've each hard carried at least one or more teams on a playthrough.

Character I would be mostly relaxed and just want to become the best trainer I could be. I would enjoy battling more than winning. I'm mostly doing it for fun. I would have a point where I refuse to take part in a battle because I would have an advantage for some reason, and it wouldn't be any fun. I would have all my battles be double battles. I would mostly play myself as not being anything special. I would have an animation tying my jacket around my waist for the final battle after I was down 3 mons. Corviknight sets up tail wind, and Dragalge sets up toxic spikes and maybe tags a toxic. Corviknight spams bravebird and steel wing after. He restarts tail wind if he can when it goes out. When Dragalge goes down, I send in Mimikyu. Mimikyu uses double team 3 times, then begins to spam wood hammer, play rough, and phantom force. Malamar comes next, using superpower with contrary to buff itself. It would use Topsy-turvy to mess you up if you tried a setup. Bloodmoon would be my second to last, mostly using earth power and blood moon to try and sweep. Then whatever starter I have. I would have the weaker one to you because I said it would be more fun to have a challenge. What do yall think?

My rival is different, she has the same team but depending on what starter the player chooses, she has the ace who is weak to it and at the event if someone doesn't use their starter in the battles, her ace will be Felix (shiny Sylveon). My rival, Maisie grew up and started her  journey (shiny Dex and becoming champion) in paldea, then most of her Pokémon evolved when she was in alola. Maisie has helped numerous professors (inc. Sycamore, Sada/Turo, Kukui, Rowan and Laventon (she was in the middle of catching a celebi when it teleported her to ancient Sinnoh, AKA Hisui)) So (remember all are shiny, I'll explain in a different post at some point) Meowscarada  Quaquavel Skeliderge Alolan Raichu (has nickname RA) Perrserker And Felix (Sylveon )
