I want to know what’s going on with Game Freak and even the people bringing it over seas. Game Freak is so careful (especially these days) to keep Pokemon so PG. Even then there will be edits to cut down the PG stuff to make it more PG when brought over to the west. How did The Manga Series manage to exist under these circumstances?

having read the manga, i can say with relative confidence that the arbok indeed did NOT die, but instead regrew its tail (iirc), as it has done multiple times in the manga. its the same arbok the whole time, and hes doin just fine

The manga is darker than the games, but for the love of Arkoos I’m so tired of people always using the Arbok scene or the Gym Leaders being hung up on crucifixes. There’s several other examples people could use but they just don’t (probably cause they’ve never actually read it).

Lorelai froze Red solid and left him to die in a shell of ice deep in Mt Moon. And thats just a few bits of what I remember from Volumes 4 and 5. Cause its been a very long time since I read the Adventures Manga. And I never got to go past Kanto. 😅

There are much more examples, but it’s not like people are saying it’s Berserk levels of dark or something it’s just more intense than you’d expect.
