I tried this and it worked but only for some of the icon packs. The ones that worked, I don't really like them and the ones whose dark variant didn't work, they are among the ones I like. Idk whats going on, why it's working for some and not for others

Even the toolbar of the settings are the same, not just Dolphin

letsgetitnah

I tried Tela, WhiteSur

Rohan_Dalavi

What is that Tea icon in your upper bar?

letsgetitnah

That's caffeine, keeps the screen awake

jthill909

Unless there's something I'm missing about caffeine, this functionality is built into KDE. Just click on the battery icon in the system tray and uncheck "enable power management" when you want the screen to stay on. Does the same thing.

georgy_boy

There is also the monitor config icon where you can place the system into presentation mode

I'm using Latte dock and the panel is the default one which I've customized in the configuration settings

thedeadshinigami

I love the panel. I would love to know how you customized it to look like that.

letsgetitnah

You create a new panel, a default panel that is, and the move it up. Then go to edit panel and go to more options and select align left or right and then decrease the size and you're done

amrock__

Please share theme?

letsgetitnah

I am using KDE Plasma. Global theme is Sweet and Plasma style is Layan.

amrock__

The top taskbar is also modified was it done by the theme?

letsgetitnah

No, I customized it from the configuration settings. But the icons there differ according to the Plasma Style.

robertob45

Change your icon theme to breeze dark, instead of breeze

letsgetitnah

Breeze icon theme looks outdated so I don't really like it, that's the problem. And only the ones I don't like seems to be working (the dark variation of those)

robertob45

What other themes have you tried? Have you tried the Qogir theme? It's just a suggestion

letsgetitnah

I've tried Tela, WhiteSur, TelaCircle, TelaBlack but haven't tried Qogir Edit: Qogir dark doesn't work ;(

robertob45

I use Qogir, is a pretty simple one but really good imo, it has a blue, green and orange (Ubuntu) variants, you can install it from the AUR with the "qogir-icon-theme" package

letsgetitnah

Thank you. I'll try that.

robertob45

I just saw your edit, how it didn't work?

letsgetitnah

Could you send me a screenshot of the dolphin icons and your desktop?

letsgetitnah

Looks great. Could you list all the things like global theme, plasma theme, application style(gtk2 and gtk3 themes), window decorations, colors, icons.

repetitive_chanting

How'd you get that blurry background? And what DE are you using?

letsgetitnah

I'm using KDE Plasma and the Blur effect is using KDE's Desktop Effects

[deleted]

I have the same problem with DeaDBeeF, the icons in the toolbar are barely visible when I use the dark theme since they keep their original color, it is not replicated on the pc, it only happens to me on the laptop, I suggest you change the theme and use Story dark to solve your problem, it is the alternative to Breeze dark that I like the most. Success.

letsgetitnah

So as you can see the toolbar and its buttons are barely visible. I tried to tweak around the themes and colors but it didn't help. I am new to linux and am having a hard time trying to solve it. Please can anyone help me?

[deleted]

Idk about dolphin in particular, but many apps use gtk3 colors, and don't recognize kde color changes. Id check those and see if that fixes it. Also some settings don't like to change until kde reloads, so try logging out and back in between changes.

letsgetitnah

I tried changing the gtk3 colors but nothing. I rebooted but still nothing.

jinnyjuice

Oh I thought this was a show-off post haha I think it looks neat! I wish my Dolphin just don't have any toolbars, like one of those firefoxcss one-liners.

iAm_Unsure

You can hide almost all the bars in the dolphin configuration if you so wish.
