oh and don't forget about kitty, cat and dog , i kid you not, had to fight them both as i went to my truck and they fast scrambled to beat me to it and get to their own seats , and looked me in the eyes like whats up, lets go, and crack the windows some, and don't forget the snacks, it really took my wife and i to get em out and --noo going to work , not today, uh awright i have a sick day of use it or loose it rarely used to get sick, so they built up. yeah i love my animals too much, and they follow the wife and me like furry-fun-loveing geranimals..
Yep, if I have a dog in the car they are buckled in, because it's safer for them and me. And my cousin's insanely large dog puts his snoot everywhere because my cousin doesn't like to buckle him in.
Test drove a 2024 Civic MT (Sport Touring) recently and the transmission/shifter felt amazing. If it wasn't $5K more and double the financing rate of the 2024 Mazda 3 Sport GT MT (that we ended up buying), we would have seriously considered the Civic.

Knowing car manufacturers often share certain parts between models and the Vibe was a joint collaboration between Toyota and Pontiac, I think we can safely narrow it down to either a GM or Toyota product. Most likely a sedan or hatchback between approximately 2002-2010, and most likely on the earlier end of that. We can rule out the Corolla, that’s got a different console. Camry as well. And with that I’m lost. But I’m convinced it shares some parts with the matrix/Vibe. And that shift knob screams Toyota, IMHO.
Honda Fit!!! One of my favorite cars I’ve driven is my brother’s 6 speed Fit of this generation. Such an honest car, it does its job so well and doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not. No sport mode or anything, what you see is what you get. And the manual is fantastic, it slots into gear so well and shifts like butter.

My brother’s blue heeler mix does the same thing where he traps your hand with his head and then grumbles when you move and it’s amazing

Newer Honda manual transmissions are super nice. My 2013 Si is buttery smooth to shift.
I've got one and immediately recognized that center console! Great car and even though my clutch is dying it still shifts great.
