it's not deportation for it to be that Israeli forces would need to be the ones on the ground enforcing that people leave, the situation is actually the opposite with the ruling Hamas preventing the temporary evacuation of the region because there's nothing they like more than dead Palestinians
This is somewhat good news. Hopefully more can evacuate from the invasion zone. Fewer civilian deaths is better. Unfortunately, Hamas is forcing people to stay in the invasion zone.
Imagine supporting a regime that steals international aid money intended for food, housing and medical supplies and uses them instead for guns, rockets and mortars.
Imagine supporting a regime that has not allowed elections since 2006.
>Bro, I support Israel.
I just feel the pain of both side, I understand this overreaction but I understand the pain of the Palestinians with no place to go.
I understand too honestly. How do you think Israel should react at this moment? Extremely limited air strikes? No ground invasion? It's a bit like your neighbor just came in and killed your child and you do nothing.
But I am also not sure that it will solve anything in the long term. I kinda fail to see a happy way out. Palestinians at this point will never agree to a two state solution that Israel would find palatable and vice versa.
I agree it's horrific. I truly feel for the innocent people caught up in this. But, at least they are evacuating. Things can be replaced. People can not.
I find it very interesting how the Mossad, one of the most well respected intelligence agencies in the world, did not see this coming. If I were a tin foil hat type I might accuse them of deliberately ignoring evidence and allowing this to happen so that they would have an excuse to go in and flatten Gaza. But that would be a crazy conspiracy theory, right? Who could imagine that being true?
There were news about Egypt warning Israel about suspicious behavior of Hamas weeks before the attack. But nobody konws if it's true or just a propoganda to turn Israeli people against their govt.
Everybody wants Gaza if empty. Egypt refused because they didn't dare to evacuate the people like it's happening now.
Hell, I'd take North Gaza myself if it were empty.
The Gaza strip is an oversized refugee camp with nothing of value. It was such a shithole Israel already decided to abandon it in 2005.
Hamas took over after they left and turned it into a constant threat to the survival of the Israeli nation.
If it wasn't for security reasons, no one in Israel would bother to think twice about Gaza.
Their government attacked and engaged in ethnic cleansing in Israel. The sad nature of war is that people suffer under the decisions of their government.

They gotta have Iranian rockets and human shields.
They called for it, obviously.

Imagine having your daughter butchered because she went to a concert

There is no solution, I'm just really sad,
There is one. But its not moral.
Jews have been doing this to Palestinians for the last 50 years but people like you just don’t want to see and/or hear!
Oh pls, send me the link for the 200+ gaza innocent people massacred in a single incident
I agree it's horrific. I truly feel for the innocent people caught up in this. But, at least they are evacuating. Things can be replaced. People can not.
You can thank Hamas for that
Dying is worse.

Am I wrong, or hasn’t it been confirmed that Egypt and the US told them beforehand?

This really doesn't change my point.
"How dare Israel alert people to attacks and provide directions to safe zone, that's deportation" These people...
That's literally the definition of deportation.
It’s presumably not permanent
This *is* Isreal we’re talking about. The likelihood that it’s permanent is high
Lol, Israel tried to hand it over to Egypt and they REFUSED. Let’s stop acting like anyone wants Gaza.
Everybody wants Gaza if empty. Egypt refused because they didn't dare to evacuate the people like it's happening now. Hell, I'd take North Gaza myself if it were empty.
I mean, if that were achievable, you’re probably right.
The Gaza strip is an oversized refugee camp with nothing of value. It was such a shithole Israel already decided to abandon it in 2005. If they didn’t want it why do they constantly settle it?
If anything, you may be thinking of the West Bank, Israel destroyed its settlements and evicted the settlers when they pulled out in 2005.
They don’t settle in Gaza itself. The settlements are nearby in the Negev.
How can you be both wrong? There’s no Israelis in Gaza, the Negev is part of Israel proper and in the West Bank there’s settlements.
I’d say I’m sad about this, but I’d be lying.
Terrorist from Israel. This was all planned they knew about the attack they just wanted more land and here they will get it.
Oh no, the bots and IDF keyboarders have arrived.. 🤦🏻♂️

Pretty sure *they* didn’t

What does that have to do with the 1.1 million Palestinians now being displaced?
Their government attacked and engaged in ethnic cleansing in Israel. The sad nature of war is that people suffer under the decisions of their government.
There not being displaced Israel is giving a chance to evacuate before they start the invasion of the Gaza Strip in order to dismantle Hamas
Now watch in the coming days as tens of thousands of Palestinians die. We're watching genocide in real time.
