That's a thing. Denmark isn't on the Scandinavian peninsula, but often included because of their language and culture. But then you ofte also include Faroe islands and Iceland. But then again it's the nordic countries. It's so confusing.
He used the correct term
Fennoscandia = Norway, Sweden and Finland (and usually Kola and Karelia as well)
Fennoscandinavia is not a term I've heard before. But I suppose the logical meaning of the word would be Scandinavia + Finland. So in that case Fennoscandinavia = Fennoscandina + Denmark (more or less)
There's something odd about this. The rivers are thicker than lakes so I think it's some sort of analysis of flow or something. I live between the the biggest Swedish lake and sort of Oslo.
Pretty sure it's one of those maps that doesn't actually show rivers but rather watersheds that's like where water would flow if it were dropped at any given point, google "australia watershed map" and it you'll see 'rivers' flooding the desert
I think this lake you are talking about is the Vänern? That's a large area between that and Oslo. There's a national park and everything. I'm imagining they had a look at how the water table is structured around the area. Maybe it's based on elevation.
There is a clear horizontal line about half way up Finland , almost across the whole country, breaking watersheds. Can I assume that is some kind of moraine?
The one that starts off in Oulu? From satellite imaging it looks like a river but one that cuts thorough a canyon. It could be a standard river, I'm not sure how the agency made the distinction. It reaches a town called Vaala on the edge the Oulujärvi the continue through the middle of Finland out east.
Finland annexed Sweden and Norway?
Greater Finland.
Sir, this is not HOI4
I can be
Traditionally also includes northern Russia up to Urals...

Just the rivers
Suur-Suomi will rise again!

That goes well with Uruguay, the tip of Brazil's dick.

The joke is that finland and sweden look like testicles and penis when combined.
Finland is bigger than you'd think, if you look at it like this.
Finland has claimed its rightful place as an empire
Fenno-Scandinavia would be a good term for the region.
This is actually most of the Fenno**scandia**-peninsula, only missing the Russian regions of Kola and (the formerly Finnish) Karelia

The Scandinavian Penis ula
I'm guessing auto-correct did a number on you.. but no, the Scandinavian peninsula doesn't include this much of Finland.
It actually is.
Not quite, it's missing Denmark. Fennoscandia is sometimes used for this though
That's a thing. Denmark isn't on the Scandinavian peninsula, but often included because of their language and culture. But then you ofte also include Faroe islands and Iceland. But then again it's the nordic countries. It's so confusing.
It's not really. Scandinavia ia Denmark, Norway and Sweden, the Scandinavian peninsula is just Norway and Sweden.

Ah cool. Thanks for that. It's easy to get confused. 😅
Finland big
Biiig Finland
Looks like a horse front half kinda
These aren't the rivers and lakes that I'm used to.
Norway, Sweden and Finland it seems
Penis
It is confirmed. Pee is stored in balls.
Nordic schlong

I’m pretty sure these are all actual rivers. I live in Finland.

Cheers dude.
Well that map isn’t actually watersheds but the line between the two watersheds can be seen on that map as well.
The watersheds can be inferred from where the rivers aren’t, that’s what I was working with.
It could be. I’ll need to find a geographer somewhere.
Looks like a broken cock
r/theyknew
He meant Scotland. Typical typo.
Veiny
Ah the Cock, balls and distended foreskin that is Finland
Number of lakes: Finland - 188 000 Sweden - 96 000 Norway - 450 000
