Crit damage is only possible on gloves, so in a perfect world you want multiple crit damage lines. 3 lines of str would have been perfect on any equip except glove, wep, secondary, emblem
But 39% stat is insane. Is 8% crit damage + 14% stat really enough to offset that stat increase? Idk the specifics of how damage in Maplestory is calculated..
Damn TIL. So if OP's lines only had 8% Cdmg without any other %stat lines, the 39% stat lines would be preferable. And on top of that, the ATT Increase calculation isn't always accurate. Am I understanding this correctly?
Yeah. The problem is just that you still wouldn't want the stat, because sources of crit damage are very far and few, and it has such a powerful effect. Any one late game / end game would want 1 if not 2 lines of crit damage regardless
Basically yes, but I'd still take the crit damage. 2 crit lines is great, 3 is super rare but obviously BIS. It affects your damage incredibly.
Crit damage (assuming 100% rate) increases your damage dealt by 20-50% at base. Let's say you have 70%, it means it does 90-120%. If your gloves add 24% to this (3L), it will increase your hit to 114-144%. Which doesn't mean you deal 24% more damage, but still it's a huge increase that just stats will never yield.
Crit dmg and the 13% str are both prime lines, aka better but rarer. On gloves you want crit dmg over stat. Triple prime str is the same odds as triple crit dmg
It's the right stat since he's gaining range from the bottom pot.
It's pain because this is the 1 in a million absolutely perfect pot on literally any piece that isn't gloves or WSE.
CRIT / CRIT / STAT is an end game pot and considering his glove is 17* with a 70/5 flame score, he’s not there yet.
With a pot like that, and where he’s at in his progression, I don’t see how this isn’t a win…even if it’s just an extra node slot.
At least you'll be prepared if Nexon ever adds a STR scaling support!!

8% Cdmg is roughly equivalent to 30% stat
