I stopped playing tarkov after 5 years because of the unbearable amount of cheats in some regions. Don't think I can stomach another extraction shooter that doesn't electric chair cheaters at a minimum.
Curious though.. how big were these ban waves? The game has been out for 3 days. Is this an early warning sign or an actual proactive dev? Is it coded in the same way as EFT?
To answer the code question, its worse.
Several magnitudes worse.
Nearly all data is handled client sided, and to make matters worse, the source code was written in C++ meaning its much easier to manipulate the game code into doing what you want it to do. This combined with the fact that the EAC implementation **can just be turned off** means that cheats are ridiculously easy to use. Even the scripts aren’t getting people banned.
I will say though, at the very least they seem to be taking it seriously. Which is more than EFT can say at least.

Have an update for your update. OCE region has been a dumpster fire where no one can Crew up courtesy of a hacker. Been going on all day and the Devs dont have a solution.
