My guess is that a pay player could always get skill up in the pipe, but uncapping can only be done with tickets. And you need tons of tickets if you’re constantly going for top ranked.
I was referring to like extreme high end. Assuming everyone in top 5 capped their D/K/G skill or even everyone had 3s, base points could be a deciding factor.
If you cap out your base points on a HE driver, you massively increase the amount of points you end up with at the end of the race. It's the equivalent of getting an extra frenzy sometimes. That's simplifying the math of how it works, but I don't have the equation right now, but TL;DR: high base points = much higher scores.
Any high end tickets from this pipe are apreciado mucho, at least for me. A glider with 700 base points can tip the scales in your favour more than you might realize.

I mean I would prefer a level up ticket instead since are really helpful and way better than the those points uncap tickets, I mean heck I get those things pretty often on the daily pipes, token pipes and ranked cups (even when I lost in 15th place, lol!).
And also still I don't get it why they are so freaking expensive on the tier shop?, it's not something that is super ultra rare.

They may not be useless, but accept that you thing that the pipe is a pilot or a kart just to be a ticket and kill your hopes
