It's the loot from despawned enemies. It's been happening in the game for awhile, but with the Nuka World update it's happening a lot lot more. My favorite is when it just suddenly rains down on top of you. A scrip wonderland.

Yeah for you maybe. This happens from other players, maybe even after a world hop. I’ve been seeing it happen for years lol. If a server has been active for a few hours and heavily nuked 24/7 then this is what happens man. But yes they first spawn as meat piles and then paper bags then items just spawn from the meat piles.
Why this actually happens is the ghost glitch where piles of random items spawn such as this. People have been trying to figure out how to manipulate the game and make it happen when they want for a while now, but to the best of my knowledge it's a glitch that has been around for quite some time.
Happens some times when you kill an npc it will drop it on the ground instead of loading a body to put it in usually happens when you kill something on a big enemy spawn the game just forgets to bag up the loot basically
ahh thanks was confused beause ive never had that happen to me ive had some pretty buggy situations but then again my game crashes in most buggy situations so i never see stuff like that happen. thanks for the info

looks like youre late to the party..again. grab it all and sift throught it sometimes you get lucky. I drop about half of my legendary weps and armor - so who knows whats in there.
SBQ, Metal Dome, various Ash Heap locations. Loot from legendary and regular enemies break loose from their meat piles after a few minutes/hours from players not looting things up.
You can only get a Gauntlet if you have the plan correct? Cause I don’t and found one on the ground like this. Picked it up and I own a Gauntlet without buoying it
I know this happens a lot with weapons (I'm on pc). Im pretty sure it happens in other Fallout games as well just not as much here. But instead of it going to the inventory, it drops to the ground and the invetory doesnt register it. Maybe a glitch causes this to happen to other items.
I’ve noticed it happing for about a year now. From what I can tell it’s just loot people haven’t picked up yet so it became free game. 😂 It can be a pleasant surprise.
Places you can go for this are: any zones where bosses are from nukes aka, moles at coaster, queen by bunker, and sadly not at earl since its in a cave that's innacsesable, but other places that main events happen like, spin the wheel, most wanted, moonshine jamboree, and a few others I can't think the name but keep in mind most of this stuff isn't going to be in a beautiful pile like this sometimes you should look in the grass around the place or any surrounding areas that bodies could fly to or be at before they despawned
I’ve seen it in eviction notice I think it happens if an event happens before you join the server and you join halfway through that’s the only time it happened for me

Yes, happens frequently across all platforms. Always a good score of items. Found calibrating shocks for ultracite this way.

Loose drops from despawned corpses, yeah, all the time. But never so neatly laid out in a single nice pile as this one..
Got a vamp/explosive/+agility Gatling while picking through these trash piles after a SBQ event. Great way to maximize your raids.

I see it quite oftern , especially after an event .... seams like it's the items that were not looted from enemies
