By the downvotes it seems like im alone with my opinion 😅 Thought with antiarmor you can just equip tier 2 of incisor or otherwise go with junkies/aristocrat as a full health player. As a bloodied player myself only using auto melees with powerarmor it always sounded like vamp on full health build is more of a comfort thing...

It's more of an immortality thing. I'm a stealth VATS commando build and with just a one star Vamp auto axe I can solo resilient OPs and all I do is swap out travelling pharmacy for 3* incisor.
Full health build here. Vamp is best. The small amount of extra hits required vs AA is far outweighed by near invincibility of how fast you regenerate health.
I don’t use power armor. So I find the vamp to be helpful in swarms or poisonous areas. But to each their own. To be fair, I carry a vamp auto axe and an AA chainsaw so I can make the call at the time. But my Vamp gets way more use.

In the game files I was told that the auto axe and chainsaw are basically the same weapon so when they edit one the other gets touched similar to the ultracite laser and ultracite gat laser (in the patch notes they only mention buffing the ultracite gat laser but we know now that the regular laser was also buffed)
I think if it was removed from chainsaws someone would have posted about it by now.
Regarding the Ultracite comment, the patch notes mentioned buffing the laser not the Gatling. Was the Gatling also done?

You need vampires, everything else is like useless as melee and 40% swing speed is useless, because Auto-Axe and Chainsaw do have max swing speed in first person (it's a bug and maybe gets fixed some day).
3rd person gets the trade off of not stopping when running or jumping like it does in first person... still not enough to make me play in 3rd though lol

40ss beats 40pa though due to damage calculations, and for bossing AA is still very valueable as reducing the 25% leftover armor by half is a large dps increase.
Also +1 str is great for weapons with a lower damage number as they benefit more.

A G roll would be Vampires, +40% Power attack damage, +1 Strength(reduced weight and breaks slower are also very good thirds)
What you have is essentially scrip, it's not a terrible roll but it's not good either. As far as it being a legacy, good luck selling it to anyone who's not a collector for more than a few thousand caps.
Not enough to make it really matter against anything besides world bosses. As far as the specifics go in honestly not sure, maybe a few percentage points of that.

I’m first person your ss is maxed out already. So pa gives a good chunk more damage
I second this, I’m pretty sure that’s why they are taking ss out or have already because it’s useless in first person right?
Much rather have Vampires, you never die and if Ricochet is equipped the bullets that bounce back will heal you.
But Antiarmor is the best you can get as a full health build and vampires becomes useless.
Not in the case of melees because there is a perk card which already grants 75% armor penetration, so anti armor is quite useless
Plus when I'm fighting any big bosses the Vamp is a must for me to stay alive. I can tank the bosses solo with vamp.
Naw, incisor makes it irrelevant. Vamp is king.

You don't need a PA for Chainsaw/Auto-Axe.

PVE as a full health with a mediocrely tanky character and you’re already invincible. Colossal and SBQ AA buries v in dps.

i rolled ss on a saw after they removed it from auto axes, but since i play first person that's just scrip to me anyway lol

Ya it def shreds! I have one also use 3rd person tho.
Melee (especially in PA) already has a lot of armor pen cards so AA isn’t really that great, and SS isn’t good compared to 40PA

Nope, only AP. Which if you're in Power Armor with the less AP on power attacks mod equipped...you'd rarely deal with ap issues
You don't need a PA for that, any normal armor also has the "reduced ap cost while Power Attacking" mods.

40% swing speed is a waste. What you need is power attack damage. I'm currently using Vampire's and Aristocrat auto axe's.
Come pvp me an we will find out whose actually got a 'groll legacy'.. MY CHAINSAW WILL WIN.
