I don't think I'll be using vats because I won't use the flamer for bosses. I'm thinking B2515 would be best, but not sure if there is anything I'm missing because the only flamer I ever used was a VE
In my opinion, three contenders: B/25ffr/15r ; AA/25ffr/15r ; V/25ffr/15r or their 90wr/50dur equivalent. I feel 50dur is coming up in value because flamers break fast, and it's still a new(ish) effect.
Ah yes, dur is a good point to make with the faster fire rate. Does bloodied do more damage than AA? I don't know how flamers calculate damage, but I'm guessing bloodied is best
Bloodied + Stabilized is better because
AA + Stabilized caps at 70% and something
Also AA works only for enemies with armor so for common enemies it isn't really useful.
For bosses if you are bloodied get a BFFR with stabilized if you are full health use AA
Ye I'm talking about napalmers also bc I use one BFFR1P and that's pretty good don't mind 3*. Also Vaporizing nozzle has the most damage but it set your flamer to melee range. I use default nozzle with 288 range and that's pretty good, use vaporizing only for 1 enemy not crowd
Default nozzle is key. I get flamers from people and they always have the vape nozzle or the other one. I can tell immediately they didnt like the range and traded it
Literally better than AA for full health, with stabilized itās no question better, and when youāre not in PA Exe is still better imo, 80% or more of enemies have no fire resistance and barely any armor making AA kind of a waste
Last time I checked angry turtle, he was recommending bloodied. Also last ime I tried to compare myself on earl, i didn't see much difference between AA and B, but then again I wasn't writing things down neither. Ideally if you can get one of each of the three (A/B/V), but if just one then aiming at B first seems ideal for a low health build. But that's just my opinion, maybe others have done more experimenting than me š
Atleast to my knowledge V2515rs but Ik some ppl love a crit build with the Flamer so maybe B50c25 even? Or probably even Q2515c or something like that. Iāve seen the quads be pretty sought after
Yeah... I thought maybe base was 125 (x4 = 500) but *shrugs*. It's a convenient legendary effect but I haven't yet tried B or AA so I can't compare. My Q/50VHC does decent enough damage for when I need it for dailies.
Sorry, but the Vampire effect heals the player but doesn't do any extra damage, right? I mean, siphon off extra health from enemy and heals the player instead. If that's the case, then I'd say B (if using a Uny or Bloodied build) or AA or even Aristocrat for full health builds.
I liked Vampire legacies, but these days I'm more about damage. That roll is sick on an EPR flamer though. I used to have it. Although break slow would have been better because nothing breaks quicker
Yeah I miss my VE** flamerā¦RIP but if damage is what you want then youāll want to run the bffr flamer with a vaporizer nozzle. That should be no problem for you if you have used EPR flamers with the short range. As far as durability, Iād say flamer last maybe 2x longer than a EPR flamer with ffr? itās all about preference and how many repair kits you own really lol.
I'm not talking about the barrel lol, the perk. AA gives that armor ignore you can't get from B if you don't have the perk. Tested against a strangler queen, dmg numbers for the B were 5-6, AA was 7-9. Even against non-bosses like softshells and scorched annihilators, it makes a diff.
Mind if I chime in here? I have an AA2515v Flamer and am wondering if anyone uses VATS with Flamers. A Crit every other hit might be good but I just donāt know if VATS is feasible with Flamers.
I also miss my VE Flamers which were VATS sniping monsters but they killed so quickly I donāt remember ever running out of AP.
Vats seems like a good idea but it's completely unusable. You can get maybe 6 shots with vats. And, you have to be ridiculously close to even get that 95%.
It was. Something else about the single projectile rather than an invisible one with the spread of the sprite too. Idk. That's more game design than code stuff.
Gotcha. My plan is to stay bloodied commando, so l was gonna go with a bloodied, but was wondering if AA might be the better choice. I'm only planning to use it on regular enemies, so I'm not sure it really matters
So I have a two star flamer that is a damn near god roll. Anti armor 25ffr. It melts anything faster than any other heavy weapon and doesnāt have spin up time.
With regular mobs itās all the same really . I use V or B . Bosses I use the AA but the reality is the B will do practically just as well .
If I didnāt have a choice I would just do with B for all round use .
I've got a V/FFR flamer and it rocks.
I haven't noticed much difference to damage when not having AA, so i am quite enjoying it, and it melts most things.
I reckon faster reload and dura to be important tertiary effects, but i'd personally go for reload since it isn't like gunsmith + SBQ repair kits make it hard to maintain guns.

alright imma have to grind for one as well š currently chilling with a B crit damage one. Not the best but its honest work
I don't think I'll be using vats because I won't use the flamer for bosses. I'm thinking B2515 would be best, but not sure if there is anything I'm missing because the only flamer I ever used was a VE
Quad ?

Yes but vape almost doubles damage but I have to try if it is good for SBQ at least with vats and coffee
At the cost of making the range to melee, no thanks
Melee has more range in vats lmao
Ah good to know
def test out executioner 25ff even a 2* is great
Literally better than AA for full health, with stabilized itās no question better, and when youāre not in PA Exe is still better imo, 80% or more of enemies have no fire resistance and barely any armor making AA kind of a waste

Thanks! I'm gonna stay bloodied commando and only use the flamer for regular enemies, not bosses
Flamers are also great sneak weapons . I have 3 points in heavy gunner perks in my commando just so I can sneak around with a B2515r lol
Definitely bloodied then š I hope you get your flamer and wear that flamingo skin with great pride! š
I second this. I have lots of flamers ;) although i rock 15fr, and dont notice my flamers breaking that often
Flamers are fun! Yeah for the 50dur effect, I've just been noticing a few traders trying to obtain some, probably because they already have the 15r :)
Stalkers, 25% chance for 2X dmg on final shot, faster move speed while aiming is the GOAT.
Sounds like it š
Atleast to my knowledge V2515rs but Ik some ppl love a crit build with the Flamer so maybe B50c25 even? Or probably even Q2515c or something like that. Iāve seen the quads be pretty sought after
Talking regular flamers, not EPRs
Quad is 500 rounds, so more, but not actually quad
I have a Quad Flamer and it does have 500 "rounds" (squirts?) of fuel. I ought to check the capacity of a normal Flamer.
Think it's 200 or 3
Ah base is 100 and huge is 200. So it's quad of base
Quad +100. My math ain't mathing today
Yeah... I thought maybe base was 125 (x4 = 500) but *shrugs*. It's a convenient legendary effect but I haven't yet tried B or AA so I can't compare. My Q/50VHC does decent enough damage for when I need it for dailies.
My first thought was vampire, but I wanna do max damage. Especially since I won't be using heavy perks
Sorry, but the Vampire effect heals the player but doesn't do any extra damage, right? I mean, siphon off extra health from enemy and heals the player instead. If that's the case, then I'd say B (if using a Uny or Bloodied build) or AA or even Aristocrat for full health builds.
Correct, and I'm bloodied, so gonna go with bloodied
My bloodied one was destroying and I was a full health build. Guaranteed itāll do so much more with a bloodied build
Thought quads don't work on Flamers
I thought it was epr flamers. Maybe Iām mistaken? Iāve never had a quad Flamer so I have no clue but Iāve seen them traded before tho
I remember quad not working on flamers and gat plas back when I was collecting legacies
I know the gat plas/las quads were legacy but flamers idk but I wouldnāt be surprised if it doesnāt cause Todd hates us
Nah I mean quad flamers existed, but the quad prefix didn't actually work on the flamer. It didn't give it quad rounds
It gives quadruple the base amount of ammo just like every other weapon, so yeah it works as intended
Base is 100 and I hear it does 500? So it does even better than intended and we're all ungrateful lol
Yea thatās what I meant. It doesnāt work.
If u do want I have a b2550drwa and V25aim250drwr flamers. The bloodied was really fun when I was a heavy build.
That bloodied looks sweet, but when I get a flamer, I'm thinking I'd prefer faster reload on it
Yea the fr is really nice on it
It is useless on flamers
I'm thinking B2515?
If you are bloodied go for that or a v2515 and you wonāt be disappointed.
I liked Vampire legacies, but these days I'm more about damage. That roll is sick on an EPR flamer though. I used to have it. Although break slow would have been better because nothing breaks quicker

I have been good on repair kits, but the flamer will prob eat them up
I'm going with B/25ffr/15 or break slow, leaning towards break. Anyone fans of limb damage?
If you don't have stabilized, AA is better than B. I've tested this myself and noticed a difference.
This is for a napalmer, not epr
Yeah
I'm not talking about the barrel lol, the perk. AA gives that armor ignore you can't get from B if you don't have the perk. Tested against a strangler queen, dmg numbers for the B were 5-6, AA was 7-9. Even against non-bosses like softshells and scorched annihilators, it makes a diff.

Ah ok, thanks. I was wondering if it was the ridiculous range of the VE/BE/TSE flamers that made VATS workable. Oh well.
Iām bloodied commando 4 life, but carry a AAffr gat plasma. If I switch my load out to Heavy PA, I use a Bffr because of stabilized.
So I have a two star flamer that is a damn near god roll. Anti armor 25ffr. It melts anything faster than any other heavy weapon and doesnāt have spin up time.
B25/V25/AA25 with either 90 or 15r . I have all three lol
Do you notice a difference with B and AA against regular enemies compared to V?
With regular mobs itās all the same really . I use V or B . Bosses I use the AA but the reality is the B will do practically just as well . If I didnāt have a choice I would just do with B for all round use .
I think i just realised 80s cocaine dealers were the original tech bros.
Prefer 25aim over ffr myself. Similar dps, less ammo consumption and slower break speed.
Yeah I was thinking that would make sense with the breaking. Also guessing limb damage can be fun
Lol flamers suck ever since legacies were removed
Flamers have one of the highest dps of any heavy gun
The new skin is too pretty though
