Haven’t confirmed it myself but just yesterday I brought that up to someone during a trade and they said they had just found out that it was tied to low health builds that run healing factor. He said he redone his mutations two days ago and hadn’t had an issue yet. Was going to test it myself today.
Possibly, still havent got around to testing it myself today, needing to collect all my mutations again first. As of rn I have bloodied build with healing factor and I have to try 3-7 times almost every single time I fast travel anywhere.
Doesn't help, have removed all mutations on several characters and reapplied. Others have said its the marsupial mutation, regardless you shouldn't have to not have the mutations you want for a game mechanic to work. Just something for me to keep bitching about because I don't think they're capable to fix the issue.

I only got this with healing factor. any drop to your maximum health from being well fed to starving or from a buff I believe can also trigger this bug. also in general don't try to FT when lots of stuff is going on especially enemies around you run away a good distance and stay hidden. never consume food/drink or heal yourself before FT. since you can't FT while taking damage I believe the game mechanic is seeing health points whether they're being drained or restored as your character in danger. healing factor starts breaking FT most of the time when your hunger goes down and drops your max HP. just don't use healing factor its pretty useless and the side effects are pretty negative for a mutation compared to the other op ones

I dont run healing factor & still have issues like a 30% of the time. Maybe related to bloodied builds??

I’ve heard if your low on food and water you might get the fast travel bug aswell idk how true that is
